As the civilians begun to run as far away from the area Soa continued to head in pretty much a single direction and the winged humanoids continued to follow them, concentrating their firepower on their target, seemingly careless for the attacks that Xia and Kirk sent at them. Soa run across the street into a old tunnel of some sort earning Kirk and herself a few short moments to catch their breaths while a local police unit engaged the winged creatures outside of the tunnel. As soon as she cough her breath, Soa's body was after all that of a child, Soa spoke to Kirk: "Kirk you need to destroy their core, which is located in the chest, otherwise they will just heal any wound and continue attacking us. If you see Xia, the lady with the guns, inform her of this. Now we must run on, the police outside is almost gone." Then she went on to run trough and out of the tunnel heading towards whatever location she was going to...

******************************************

After meeting with the armored transports Levia and her unit quickly drove towards the conflict area and were minutes away when it became clear what was going on, winged humanoids known as "The Winged Ones" but usually called Angels, Tenshi or by other names which described similar creatures from Earth's mythology were attacking the city. Unlike most other "Arrived" their origin and purpose was unknown and they were know to attack people and settlements without any reason. Seeing them here made Levia shout an order: "Drive as fast a you can! We have to stop them ASAP or who know how much of the city will be destroyed!" The order was followed but it would still take some time for them to reach an effective range to engage "The Winged Ones"...
Renia smiled at the armory and said: "All geared up for a small war? Well before I start, I would ask if can I have two free shots with each of the weapons before you start to count my score so I can adjust to each of them?" She walked to the stand and took the pistol first, preferably a H&K 45 or SIG Sauer P22X, and approached the range, while already calculating data in her head. Trough she was ill suited for anything else scientific Snyper cloud easily put a modern ballistics calculation computer to shame and was doing that just now in her head, more to calm herself down then an actual need to check the calculations which she already perfected. She smiled faintly and waited for Leona to both answer her question and give the "begin firing" sign...
Oh, thanks for the explanation, you know the two separate pieces of plot being posted one after another with no obvious separation was slightly confusing...
Did just all hell break lose? And do Renia (Syper) and Leona know about this? What should I post? Probably something in the style of "WTF is going on"?
There are many way to avoid this:

1. Make magic (under control of humans/elves/other sapient species) extremely rare and give it only to those which you know will not misuse it.
2. Talk with the roleplayers and set clear and non-breakable rules about magic.
3. Establish one of your characters as being the user of the most powerful magic in the setting as well as rules about magic.
4. Create a setting in which no matter how ridiculously powerful magic one has you have a character or rule which makes it completely useless.
5. Create a setting in which being magically overpowered is only important for your income (AKA a setting not concentrated on fights or even without fights at all).
And on and on...

So there are many ways to prevent or stop roleplayers from being magically overpowered trough to be true none of them guaranties 100% success rate. How prone are people to making overpowered characters and how tightly you have to tie the leash to prevent them from doing that mostly depends on what kind of roleplay and roleplayers are in question.
I managed to save most of my characters and one setting (important to me) trough Google's Cache by browsing for those specific characters/RPs. Google is nice to do save cache of most pages!
Anyone else interested?
And please read the first post, I would prefer roleplayers interested in an RP set in the setting if possible (but I will not nitpick even if those just looking for a 1X1 partner come).
Anybody interested?
So I am still waiting for a reply from the other two ... ah.
