It's fine. At least almost everyone is here. Nisemono hasn't replied to my PM yet and I don't think they've logged on for a few days.

If they end up leaving, we'd have Caster and Rider's Master open.

I hope that's not the case. Caster's batting average is not that good.
"His sense of freedom would be something to desire," Jacob replied to Jane, "would he only ever finish what he started." He couldn't help but think that when he was Charles' age he had his life planed out like a long trip. For more than a decade he followed that plan with youthful passion, and this is where it lead him. Sure he was a professor teaching the very subject he researched, but he was also stuck for more than one reason. The Grail War aside, it was a family matter that Jacob would teach Charles. The Dorvain would hopefully get their heir to mature faster as well as strengthen their Crest, and the Millford family would have access to many of the Dorvain resources. Jacob was happy to do so at first, teaching was always what he ultimately wanted to do, but it slowly degraded over time. Discipline breeds greatness. Charles could be great at whatever he applied himself to, but the boy was very erratic.

When the man in question wedged himself into the conversation, his words drove Jacob to roll his eyes. "I'll make this short as you appear to be oh so busy," he started in a matter of fact tone. "There was an obstruction in the hallway." Glancing over his shoulder and focusing his hearing he could tell that the ladies were still out there. "I had to make sure it was nothing of concern. I have yet to reach a conclusion. " Miyamoto-sama, as Mary called him, was still a stranger. There is only a fine microscopic line between model and exhibitionist. If Charles vouched for him it would be enough to satisfy Jacob. But then again would Charles even know the difference? The teacher felt a sense of disappointment in himself.

However Mary and Jane were a different story, their words he could rely on. The two of them were always a pleasure to deal with. A shame they haven't rubbed off on the young man and a blessing that Charles didn't rub off on them. He admired Jane for her firm and bold nature, and thought that everyone could benefit from an ounce of Mary's innocence. All that was left was to get let the stranger know. "'Miyamoto-sama,' please don't move, for I fear what might befall Mary if you do. I thank you for filling in, but there are channels for this sort of thing. Paperwork and such. I'd be glad to sign off on it if need be."
I've been meaning to post but have been super busy. I'm not objecting to a time skip, but if you could wait until some time tomorrow afternoon that would be awesome.
Again the Servant pleasantly surprised her Master. With that sort of ability he would only have to worry about himself being seen, which would eventually be a problem. Jacob was known for sticking his nose in places it shouldn't be. Until he witnessed any part of the war, he would have to sit on the side lines, lest he be discovered. If he participated as a rogue Magus, he could manipulate the pieces in his favor without needing to be a target. All he wanted was the war to cause as little damage as possible. How far was he willing to go to do this?

"Nay Lucille, the pleasure is all mine. " Jacob took his place on the stage, embracing the shroud of deception. He placed a hand on his chest and bowed in turn to "Lucille's" curtsy. "I apologies for any inconvenience this trip might have caused you. I know it was somewhat sudden. Please do try not to think of myself as anything special. " Turning his wrist over he looked at his watch, and found that he was running far latter than he had thought. "Forgive me for cutting this short, but I have to get to my students. " Digging around his pocket he removed a key and handed it to her. A rather hilarious gesture all things considered. "Feel free to make yourself at home. I can of course drop you off in town on my way in, or perhaps you would like to tour the school? "

Finally arriving at the school he stepped out of his car and looked around. Maybe it was too early to be paranoid, but he had to feel it out. He closed his eyes and exhaled, forcing almost all the air out of his lungs. Using the very last of it, he uttered an incantation, one his family had used for a long time. The air crackled with power around him and he brought that inside, bringing a vast amount of information to his mind. He could smell the perfume of a woman at the other end of the campus, hear the whispers of a young couple under the bleachers, the wind inside his lungs now spoke to him, telling him stories in the vaguest sense. Of all the things that were around him, there was very little in the way of Magecraft, it was safe to say that the campus had not been compromised, for now.

The enchanted air fled his lungs in a deep sigh of relief. Prana was a source of power that all living things had, so the fastest way to acquire a large pool was to do devilish things that Jacob wouldn't even think about, but he had seen before. With that confidence he strode forward toward the school. He was running late for his lecture, but he was confident that Walter, his student teacher, would be able to handle himself until he got there. He was a pretty relaxed professor, believing that if his students didn't want to take their education seriously it was there problem, not his. But he was always willing to lend a hand to those seeking to expand their knowledge base, especially if it related to the past.

Not six doors down was his lecture hall, he could have kept walking, but his attention was drawn to several young ladies looking through the crack of a door that lead to the art room. It was hard for him to fight off this curiosity. "Doors tend to work better when you open them all the way ladies." None of them heard him approach, all of them jumped when he spoke. They quickly spun around and tripped over their words, their faces red with embarrassment. His curiosity peaked, and he opened the door.

He regretted it instantly. It was an art room, with various students practicing various styles in various ways with a single focus. The well chiseled man in the center was unfamiliar to Jacob, but he found himself becoming more familiar than he was with most. His face started to redden much like the girls had, the model in front of him didn't bother him that much, but what did was that this was one of those rare occasions where he was at a loss for words.

He stood in the door way for a moment, which quickly turned into a few moments. The sound of a camera snapping brought him out of it and he looked around. He saw three familiar faces. Of the three he identified Jane first, then Mary, and knew full well that Charles was close by, likely with the origin of the snapping in hand. He was right. Charles was one of the few Magus that Jacob regularly dealt with. He too had an affinity for Wind Magecraft, which meant that he was a good partner/test subject. The only problem was that he had a poor attention span, which made him infuriating more often than not. Not wishing to disturb Charles until he got out of whatever zone he was in right now, he approached Mary and Jane. "I was not aware that we were going to be hosting new... talent. "
@Gamerdude369 Shouldn't you take that up with Rayjin then?

Wow, must have hit the wrong mention. Either way Musashi would be the source of the bickering, Jacob being a respected professor and Musashi being an unfamiliar naked man on campus, art class or no.

Yeah, sorry I haven't gotten to you on that, I've been a bit distracted as of late. They would no each other with Jacob likely coming in to assist Charles in his Magic Studies, since he does take his stuff seriously as it helps him gain an edge in fighting, thus why a majority of his spells are directed towards combat use rather then utilities.

All is cool. I'll leave my post open for you to fill in some of the specifics on their relationship. Just thought that some people should know that other people were Magi.
@hatakekuro I'm going to post soon, I was just wondering if we are going with Jacob and Charles knowing each other (in a magical sense)? If so I would like to have them bicker.
It was a pleasant surprise that Assassin wanted to talk. The Master had feared that an Assassin would rather stick to the shadows, vacating the light at all times. But it seemed that Marie-Anne had no problem acting like a normal member of society. It would do well to hide her identity, but also make her more noticeable. Random people showing up during the Grail War was reason to suspect them enough. The Magi didn't put much stock in coincidence or happenstance, for every effect there is a cause. She also appeared to humor his request of counting houses. He gleamed in response to her answer. This information was arbitrary, but further proved her talents.

It had taken Jacob most of the night to formulate an identity for Marie-Anne. He knew that it would have to be two fold, one for the public, and one for any other Masters that happen to discover that he was a Magus. It would only take one phone call to anyone at the Association for anyone to figure out that Jacob was a Magus, and from their tracking his family and associates would be simple, leaving Assassin looking like a servant. What he came up with was something that would work well, but left him unsettled.

"I thought that more truth than lie would go a long way in our relationship and our ruse. If anyone asks you about me tell them we just met and that you don't know me too well. Tell them you are a cousin from my father's side, his side is the non-magical one. His name is Burton, my mother is Harva. Make up a reason for coming here on your own. Just keep me up on your lies so I can duplicate them. That should cover you in the public eye." This was the simple part, a white lie that they were related would give most the security that nothing funny was happening. Anyone that looked into this story would give themselves away that they were up to something, which lead him to the other half.

Scratching the back of his head he doubted it for a moment, but knew it was the strongest route to take. "If anyone presses you hard for information, or you identify them as Magi or a Master, tell them that you are a marriage candidate." Jacob found himself stumbling over those last two words. "My family is very particular about our blood line, there are a lot of factors that they feel should go into the woman bearing my child. Regardless, this leaves a lot of wiggle room. We don't have to act like we don't know each other too well because we don't. You don't have to pretend to know anything about Magecraft, forgive me for assuming that you don't. Lastly we can be ourselves around each other, as we are 'getting to know' each other."

This was a bit unorthodox, but just like a family member would satisfy most people, a marriage candidate would demand some courtesy for Magi. Some in the magical community held themselves to higher standards in the pursuit of knowledge. The Millford line has been arraigning marriages for as long as the family name has been known. It produced the healthiest of offspring by attempting to eliminate any mental or physical defects due to "unclean" family history. In the past Jacob has had two such candidates sent to him, both of them being offered a large sum to live with him for a month. None of them worked out as a meaningful relationship in his eyes, so no wedding bells rang yet.

The greatest benefit of this lie would be the security it offered the both of them. Attacking a marriage candidate was as bad as attacking the family directly. In the Association, this would ruin a reputation and burn quite a few bridges, scaring a family for generations. "I want you to maintain any sense of neutrality you have for as long as you can. The moment you give yourself away as a servant, we loose a huge edge. I don't even want them to know how tall you are, the less they know the more we stay hidden. If you must attack, leave no witnesses and make damn well sure you kill both the master and the servant. Do what you have to to maintain your identity. Is this reasonable?"
When the alarm clock rang at the Millford residence Jacob had already been awake. Most of his attention in the past months had been about the summoning, past that he didn't have much to go on in the way of a plan of action. Now that he had Assassin, planning was all the more important. He didn't have the strength of one of the knight classes nor the wealth of knowledge that caster would provide. It was a relief that he didn't have to go on the offensive just yet. If they let the others fight and tire themselves out then action would be easier. But that was wishful thinking, they would have to strike when they get their opportunity, because one might never show up again.

The alarm continues for five minutes before he turned it off, and he laid there for another five minutes. Finally getting up he went about his daily routine. A simple breakfast of scrambled eggs with smoked salmon all the while preparing lunch. Buying lunch at the school would be unwise for some time. Anything he put into his body would have to be made by him and kept within sight. As such he prepared a thermos of coffee as his late night and lack of sleep would likely catch up to him around two o’clock. It took him longer to prepare and cook everything as, against his better judgement, he prepared food for Assassin. He knew she would likely refuse it again, but if at first you don't succeed and all that.

With all that done he went and got dressed, conducting the stranger of his morning rituals, tongue twisters. If Assassin, or anyone for that matter, was listening, they might think him mad as he strung words together in a hasty manner, trying to trip himself up. As a teacher he would be talking all day, and how could he hope to properly inform his students if his tongue was not loose enough to be understood. This was also vital to his Magecraft, as words are indeed power, and as his servant said, delicate.

With his effects gathered he left the house and found Assassin. She looked a convincing part of, whatever it was she was trying to portray. From her appearance she was collage age, so she would have no problem being at the campus, before the day was done he would have to get her an ID, but the chances of someone stopping her were slim. Even then she would likely come up with a convincing lie. "Ah, good morning." Handing her the separately bagged breakfast and lunch he nodded toward his car. It was nothing special, it’s most redeemable quality being that it had four wheels. "I need to get going. Do you want me to drop you off in town or are you coming to the campus with me?"
I hope so. Or maybe she'll get crazy strong. >December

And thank you, Nise! :D

Good news, we are now able to start posting freely.

Speaking of which, should we go through a morning routine or just start at school?
I've noticed something interesting, we have two wind mages that seem to be opposites, yet similar in some instances, and both are wielding Servants that are basically the most opposite out of all in terms of classes. I want to have a fight Between Jacob and Charles, perhaps they can know each other? If they both come from rich families, it would certainly be in the realm of possibility.@Gamerdude369

Having reread his CS again, they are total opposites. The Millford family is not rich, secure yes, but not rich. They have a long standing relationship with the Association, contributing a decent amount of their studies and findings over several generations. I would go as far as saying that they have authored a good number of books. I can see them knowing each other as "good" acquaintances, but for what I don't know. Charles doesn't seem to be too interested in studying magic so would he ask Jacob questions on the matter? Maybe he took a photography class where you travel with the archaeology division around the world and photograph ruins and such. If that works we can discuss a little bit of back story.

Wow, the students have shit luck. Both the person who's supposed to be teaching them, the one who's supposed to protect them from harm, and their classmates are enemies...
