Birth Name: Katrina Leyal
Name origin: Katrina was named after her grandmother.
Alias: The Red Blade
Gender: Female
Skin tone: Peach
Hair Color: Red
Eye Color: Amber
Height: 5' 10"
Body Build: Average
Faction: Mad Queen
Affiliation: Neutral, although her actions may lead her to be mistaken as evil.

Backstory: In the kingdom of the night, Katrina was born into a family of nobles. Her father had died a few months before her birth, and so her mother had taken over the family's assets as head, much to her step-siblings dismay. Katrina was a happy child, getting most of the things she wanted as her family was well off. She learned her swordsmanship from her uncle, who had no children of his own to teach. Katrina was a talented fighter, and aspired to join the royal knights long before she was aware with the politics of it, and before Bellatrix had seized control. When she came of age, the baster sword became her weapon of choice. The one she wields now is of quality make, to which Katrina had given the simple name of "Red", after it's scarlet hilt, with which Katrina was entranced with when she first obtained the sword.

After the Mad Queen had taken control of the kingdom, Katrina was taught to worship the woman by her mother (who had done so mostly due to her fear of losing their family's status, rather then having any actual belief in the queen.), and so she did. After she had successfully joined the defenders of the queen, Katrina completed most tasks assigned to her quickly and effectively. Quite often though, she wonders if what she does is the right thing to do. Guilt quite often found it's way into her thoughts.

On one occasion, she was ordered to kill young conjuror, who was only twelve years of age. She refused, up until the point of being threatened with treason. The memory haunts her even now, and she loathes herself for what she has done. However, After the first atrocity, it became easier and easier to commit more. Katrina had slowly desensitized herself, in order to make it easier on her to follow orders. She now worships the queen wholeheartedly, trying to justify her actions to herself. If ever the guilt of her crimes where allowed to seep into her mind, Katrina might just break down entirely.

Strengths:
- At close combat, Katrina proficient in fighting with a bastard sword two handed. The sword is fine and well made. She can hold her own in hand to hand combat as well.
- Though not exceptionally fast, Katrina is good at parrying and countering attacks with her sword and is decently dextrous
- Can perform first aid, and has some knowledge of remedies.
Weaknesses:
- With no shield, Katrina is not the best at receiving blows. Her armor will take what it can, but she may be knocked back by particularly strong attacks.
- No form of range or magic.

Religion: Katrina primarily worships Vitama, as does the rest of her family.
Birth month: The month of Domito
Actually, it was her smile :P
Now the wait for the others to post begins, haha. Can't wait to see how everyone will interact with each other.
Posted :D. Hope it's acceptable.
Gaizen awoke to a pounding at the door to his room. "Gaizen?" A familiar voice called from the other side. "Wake up already." He refused by offering no response, covering his head with one of his pillows, and hoping that he would be left alone. He heard the door to his room opening, and grunted at the thought of having to rise so early in the morning again. "If you don't get out of bed this instance, I'll set it on fire." Gaizen's eyes opened immediately as he considered the sincerity behind the threat. He doubted that Shinzan, Gai's firebending master, would actually do it, but then again the man had chased him around, whipping his back with flames before. Deciding to not take any risks, Gai sat up in his bed, allowing the pillow to fall to his lap. "Smart move." Shinzan confirmed with a smirk.

"Why?" Gaizen asked tiredly, but he already knew the answer. Shinzan had told him before that he would be meeting the other apprentices today, and Gai had been dreading waking up since. Shinzan raised an eyebrow, and told Gai to get dressed. Gai nodded in response, but was slightly surprised when Shinzan remained in the room. Gai stared at his master, waiting for him to leave.

"If I leave now, you'll go back to sleep, forcing me to use less... gentle methods to get you to come." Shinzan said in response. Gai cursed him in his thoughts, knowing his masters worries were completely justified.

Gai moved his head to look at the ceiling with a sigh, and rose up and out of bed, clad only in his underwear before getting dressed in his usual attire. He grabbed his short bow and quiver, setting both over his head and on his back before following Shinzan out the room. They had arrived last, due to Gai's protests. He looked at each of the apprentices carefully as he walked, and decided that they each looked nice enough. When he got to the only other man in the group Gai's eyes widened again, but he said nothing. Could it be him? he asked himself. Some time ago, before Gai had joined the White Lotus, he had been attacked. The man in question appeared to be the one who had come to his rescue so many years ago, but Gai was not sure. The admittedly handsome man had been in his thoughts ever since, but Gai doubted that he would ever meet him again. If this was him, then Gai could finally... confirm something that he had been wondering about for a while. He felt his face turn red, and turned away from the others so they could not see. When the masters began introducing their apprentices, Gai was described by Shinzan as lazy and boring, but lucky enough to have one asset - fire bending. Gai turned his head to glare at his master, and was met with a toothy grin.

After the group was introduced to each other, they where then lead to the dining hall for breakfast. Gai saw the waterbender go sit at a corner table, and then smile at them. Gai wanted to go sit with her, but that might lead to small talk, which might to lead to a conversation, and Gai doubted that that would go well. On the other hand, if he decided to sit alone, he might appear to be distant, or rather, a jerk. His eyes dashed from the corner table to the table next to it repeatedly as he began to move towards the two, almost involuntarily. He stood in front of them for a few seconds, before sitting alone, his back facing the girl. He tried to force himself to sit across from her, but simply couldn't. Gai loathed his decision, but was too embarrassed to switch seats now. He hoped that he hadn't offended her.

Jun has no interest in men so Gai will be out of luck. That doesn't mean Gai and Jun can't have awkward moments though. I fully expect, no, I DEMAND AWKWARD CONVERSATIONS TO HAPPEN IN A HOTSPRING!

Gai will get over it eventually, but for the time being ask and ye shall receive.

Also, awesome I'll get to posting soon!

Everbody be hatin on firebenders, though! Tachi will work with Gai. She believes that air and fire have a close relationship - fire can't act without air, and there's a lot of things that wouldn't work without hot air (usually heated by fire in the end) to power it.Speaking on who's working with who, I see Jun and Gai will be eating face, Kasumi and pema will also be eating face, and Tachi......She'll just make jokes about how she's dating everybody. But I don't mind Tachi being a loner because it wouldn't suit her to be going out with someone and I always find it reeeeaaaalllly awkward to RP out romantic relationships.

Yay, Gai wont feel completely hated! It seems that he'll! have some issues with Pema though. Not sure how him and Kasumi will get along. What do you think Suspect :P?
That seems fine. It makes more sense for the one assaulted to be Gai, since he is less experienced than Jun. Could also be a nice starting point for Gai's crush hehe.

EDIT: @Suspect, I'm fine with whatever, but I was looking forward to writing out a scene where Gai's face turns completely red when he realizes who Jun is, and he awkwardly avoids eye contact as he pretends that nothing is wrong while stuttering with every word.

Or something to that effect :P.
@Twinklemoon: Exactly. Everyone thinks they're doing the right thing, and a genuinely evil twat who does things just for the hell of will feel nothing but fake and forced.
