No one is going to get on you for plagiarizing someone's art, unless maybe you claim you did it and even then, we likely have no way of disproving it so really who cares. It's art that someone did, you are praising them by using it as a visual representation for your character. I do it for just about every RP I participate in because I'm a visual kind of person and to actually see something is just nice. The bottom line is like Plague said, the GM says have a picture, have a picture, not complain about it and be a baby and say how it's forced upon you. That's just childish. I do agree all in all that we should get passed this dumb shit and just prepare to RP some Mech whoop-assery.

There usually is a reason for homicidal rampages, Avan's guy is on one against bandits because they ruined what little of a life he had previous. Now with what you've mentioned already I can see your on another kind of revenge quest. (This is going to get DARK)What if you're character lost her mind when she was assaulted in some way by someone she trusted, a paladin of the wastes, someone who was supposed to be one of the good guys. That reality broken, she wanted revenge and this broken part of her offered that revenge but in return she must satisfy its hunger for death. The two started the rampage of Sigismund, trying very hard to lure out the corrupted wasteland heroes who assaulted her in the past. Years would go on and she nearly forgot the crimes done to her, all she lives for now is that broken part, always telling her she is helping herself with every kill. That was until she was called on by a stranger.^Good fake little backstory, yes?

On that note, my guy became a Merc to justify killing people because his family was killed during skirmishes by Mech's.
The instructions were clear on the CS from the start. Pic Only. Not to be rude but since the instructions were very clear from the get go, if you chose not to add a picture, then you're just refusing to follow a simple instruction.
My Past Encounter is not nearly as creative as everyone else's but I just got overwhelmed with dumb shit on my end so it'll have to do. Black Plague, I referenced you, hope it's adequate.
I suppose my CS is as complete as it's gonna be. I will finish the past encounter but that is partly why I'm writing this. A lot of us are Mercs, which means if any kind of reputation precedes us or we've ever worked in the past, it would be cool to incorporate into my encounter that I worked with someone so if anyone desires to be mentioned, I will gladly do it because I think it's cool. Plus it means I have someone to talk to once the team is put together.

It is good to know that on my arrival I can break bread with my countrymen and bring order and peace... before we wreck the world with giant war machines!http://www.roleplayerguild.com/topics/29400/posts/ooc?page=1#post-846264I'M GUNNA WRECK IT!

I'm just wondering if you took any of what I said earlier in to advisement, if that's the right way to say it. About the list of perks and their cost, perhaps later being able to upgrade, stuff like that.

Name: Joshua Stone
Age: 25
Height: 6'3
Weight: 190
Background: Mercenary
Bio: Stone wasn't a bad guy in his early years, despite all that was happening in the world around him, his was a fairly good guy. It was after his parents died that he started to lose hope but a woman changed that, a lovely, beautiful woman who loved him completely and him her. She two, would end up falling at the hands of a war he felt was never his own. Both his parents and his wife to be were taken from him during a conflict that left death and suffering in it's wake. Josh survived only by sheer luck but from that day forward, he vowed to change things.

Knowing that the world was already crippled, he couldn't save the world, but he could decide who lived and who died by his hand which now sported a steady position. He got up with some nasty folks, did a few jobs and earned his way up the ladder until a raid on a Ethus distribution center landed him in the cock pit of the formidable and silent killer, "Ghost". He never looked back, moving forward and putting rounds down the barrel of his weapon at whomever he deemed fit. Or whoever paid enough. His funds went to revolutionizing his mech and putting it in the top ten as far as distance shooters are concerned.
Description:

FRAME:
Name: Stealth Class CXT-11 (Goes by name of Ghost)
Description:
Weight Class: Arms=5 Armor=3 Agility=7
Weapons Descriptions: Modified Specter GXM Sniper Rifle ((Class 3)) Deployable Forearm Blade for CQC ((Class 2))

Additional Notes: Rifle Details= The Specter is a common rifle that Josh modified and poured money into making his pride and joy. It has a collapsible front barrel assembly so as to fit better on his right thigh when not in use and of course for a close quarters side arm. It is semi automatic though hardly the fastest rifle on the planet but beats a bolt action. Josh carries with him a variety of different ammunition, explosive rounds, corrosive, tracking caps, and naturally the hollow point. It has a next generation sight which allows it to see further than most standard scopes without being large and bulky.

Forearm Blade= His left forearm has been altered to house a deployable blade, it's length that of the class 2 nature allowing it to hold it's own in most CQC situations. It's deployment time is also an impressive transition from the stowed position allowing him to be able to defend himself if need be.

Gen 4 Jump Jets= Despite being the lower of the three possible Jump Jet assemblies on the market today, these still help propel him into the areas he needs to get into to set up his shot and equally as important, help him get out of his location if it has become compromised.

Past Encounter: Typically Josh works alone, at most, working in a two man cell. He takes the high ground and provides over watch for whomever he's working with. Despite being a Merc, he is very loyal to his team mates, unless given any reason not to. A trait that might get him hurt one day but so far, it's worked out for the best. Of the countless mission's he's done, some free lance, other's hired for substantial pay off. He's only met one other pilot that he dared say could be a friend. Jaufre Williams, riding in the daring IS-13 STINGER MDL III. His Mech was unlike any he'd seen before and his over all personality was very likable. He ran a couple missions with him back in 2154 and 2156 and decided to keep in touch ever since. They don't exactly share coffee together but Josh has been know to trust his Mech to the skillful hands of Jaufre before, as he was the only man who worked on his CXT-11 other than himself.

The way I see it, it breaks down like this:Unit 1 class: Pistols, Grenades (Per 10), Small hand Melee weapons (daggers) etc - One item from this category is one (1) pointUnit 2 class: Submachine Guns, Shields , Sword Sized Melee weapons, Arm mounted weapons (wrist launchers) etc- One item from this category is two (2) pointsUnit 3 Class: Rifles, two handed melee weapons, back mounted weapons, etc - One item from this category is three (3) pointsUnit 4:Heavy Duty Weapons, Large Cannons, MiniGuns, etc - One item from this category is four (4) pointsbut that's just my thinking. I could be waaaaaaaaaay off.

I see what you're saying but sniper rifles are a finicky breed of rifle so I was wondering what class or cost they would fall under and even if it's as simple as falling under the rifle category which is class 3, I still need to know about the different ammunition. I want various rounds, explosive, perhaps shocking, corrosive, a round that once fires break apart like a shuttle and hits the target with multiple tracking devices so as to be unnoticed. Stuff like that. What I'm looking for is whether I can just say I have these things or if I have to pay for them with my units. A chart would be best but I understand you can't do those but just a post listing weapons and other assorted items and their exact cost's would be a great thing. I have to agree with Hero Zex's melee weapon system, it's nice and clean. Also, for those that already completed their CS, please write out your Arms=X Armor=X Agility=X where X is the number of points in it, it looks better and makes it easier to read for everyone, not just Weight class. I'm only saying this because I don't want to make my guy too similar in points to anyone, that's just me though.

I literally just remembered this but I am making a sniper with the call sign of Ghost, I was wondering if there are or could be any kind of cloaking device for purchase. I'm not trying to be OP so if you move it would be pretty much worthless but if stationary like a sniper most commonly is, it could provide some decent concealment. I suppose this is really just a cosmetic thing though because thermals would pick him up if they were close enough but perhaps having thermal capabilities could be a purchased item as well. I don't know, I might be over thinking it but I was literally thinking of a story similar to this but instead of mech's, I was gonna do space ships and the people would be like bounty hunters in space or something and we would do a point based system to build our ships. If you would like suggestions or my help on developing a list of items and their cost's, please let me know, I'll even PM you the list you can post it if you don't want me as like a co-GM. This would also mean that as we do stuff in the RP, perhaps we score some currency, steal it, get paid to do something, whatever, and then spend it on new upgrades.
We need your exact cost for the various weapons, How many points a pack of grenades are, how much an SMG is, how much shoulder mounted rockets are, And in my case, how much a sniper rifle would be. With that being said, how much or is there no cost, for special munitions, I want to have an assorted array of bullet types for a given scenario but don't know how much this stuff will cost.
