Kalmi looked puzzled for a moment at Vor’loch's hungry youngling comment, His injuries were obviously catching up to him quickly. still she'd been keeping her awareness on the tunnels to guard against imminent threats. because of that she was aware of Vor’loch's thoughts drifting to the future. Kalmi on the other hand kept herself firmly rooted in the present, if they did not survive even thinking about the future was of little use to anyone Of course her injuries weren't half as severe, keeping her concentration was substantially easier, the leg wound was beginning to bleeding freely however and she could feel muscle damage pulling with every step, While not critical she would me impaired if they needed to run.
Something about Vor’loch's youngling comment set off warning bells in her mind so she let her awareness spread out through the force beyond the tunnel walls. The presence Vor’loch had mentioned when they entered the tunnels was readily apparent when she did and moving closer rapidly, hunger was evident in the minds of the creatures and they were certainly not younglings. "We need to move faster ourselves, those are not younglings you sense." Kalmi said as she increased her pace despite the additional damage it could do to her leg. "We must reach the cargo access quickly or I fear our window of escape will close." She added urging Vor’loch to move faster again. What she wouldn't give for someone trained in the healing arts, she wasn't certain Vor’loch would even last to the cargo access in his current state. She resolved to at least learn the basics of healing herself when they escaped and found a safe haven for even a little while.
