Maher Adonai
Age: 33
Race: Human
Sex: Male
Appearance:Homeland: Kingdom of Tuleria
Born to middle class parents mere minutes before his sister, Nadira, Maher grew up in relative comfort. His father, A Mage of some respect in teluria began instructing his twin children in water magic when they were but five, simple things initially discipline, concentration and a few extremely simple spells. While it meant their father didn't have to put up with childish temper tantrums half as much as other fathers with kids their age it did bring out the prankster side of the two of them early and with more cunning than most children their age. Discovering his children had a telepathic link with each other certainly didn't help that.
When the twins were 12 their mother passed away from an illness that the local healer and even their fathers magic could not cure, this prompted their Father to train the two of them harder in magic as a way of coping with his loss while the twins took comfort in the rigid structure of the training. This only lasted a few more years however as their father never really recovered from the loss of their mother and when the twins were approaching 17 he also passed away.
The twins left home together and started travelling the world rather than stay in a house that held so many memories. About six years later the Gods were banished by then Princess Kouri and Mahers dedication to Merlin began to drive something of a wedge between the two of them. Banished or not he would say, Merlin was a god worthy of his dedication. Then came the morning when he awoke to discover Nadira had left in the night. He refrained from using their link to ask why, he had known of the tension between the two of them for a while now. Perhaps it was best they went their separate ways. They would however talk from time to time over the next few years.
And so Maher found himself in Rhinefeld in the area of the region claimed by The Templar Order. He had been suppressing his natural gifts for much of his time in Rhinefeld and seeing the efficiency of the temlpars soldiers, especially when they chose to deal with a threat of a magical nature decided that 'if you can't beat them, join them.' his initial induction was not exactly smooth but he did meet a fellow magic user afterwards with whom he would develop a friendship. He spent several years in the Templars and rose several ranks, learning anti-magic and the art of spell deflection in the process. Eventually his friend rose to power in the order and he sent Maher to Renalta to join the Queens Blades, in part due to tensions created by traditionalist factions in the Order, and because Rhinefeld as a whole was vulnerable to the nine hells and his friend wanted to do what he could to assist Queen Kouri in her endeavour to fight the hells.
Motivation: With the gods banished the Nine hells stand almost unopposed as Maher sees it. With their credible threat to the world and his Templar training, Maher was happy to serve when his friend sent him to Renalta on orders to join the Queens Blades and fight.

Experience Traits
--Trait 1: Catch! Training with the Templar Order over the past several years was instrumental in him picking up this trick as well as his training in anit-magic in general.
--Trait 2: Subtle Magician Sometimes it pays to just blend in and be ordinary, Maher learned this a long time ago.
Conditions
--Trait 1: Unbreakable Faith: Despite knowing the gods have been banished Maher's Faith is solid. His faith was formed quite early in life by a simple phrase “The greatest wisdom is knowing that you know nothing.” It was after hearing that that he devoted himself to the god, Merlin, seeking the wisdom and mysteries of the world.
--Trait 2: Wells of Power: Since he was a child Maher has had visions, dreams, sometimes frighteningly accurate ones. He doesn't actually know why and has come to believe they were a 'gift' of his god after he became a man of faith. While the banishment of the gods has had no effect on the visions he maintains his belief, afterall, who is to say the banishment method the Renaltan Queen used has no cracks.
--Trait 3: Powerful Connection: When Maher enlisted in the Templars he became friends with another magic user in their ranks, a recent deserter that had returned. Over time the friendship originally based on shared persecution because they used magic became something more. Through dedication and skill the two of them began rising in the ranks, though Maher plateaued out much sooner and his friend continued to rise. These days his friend is the head of the Templar Order, Taigyn Vallous. Recently with hardline traditionalists in the Order causing tensions with magic users to rise Taigyn sent Maher to Renalta to join Queen Kouri's Blades, afterall the nine hells pose a very real threat to Rhinefeild that Taigyn would rather not see come to pass.
Unique
--Trait 1: What If I'm Far From Home
Throughout his life Maher has had a connection with his twin, Nadira. A connection that has only grown stronger as they both trained in the magical arts. They can speak to each other telepathically and when closer feel what the other feels if they feel it strong enough, injuries, primal emotions... other less comfortable things that they both would prefer they didn't feel. While distance can effect the strength of the empathic side of their link they have so far found no such disruption on communication.
Romance: Natural progression only, and only if it makes sense in the first place.
Play style: I'm easy really. Combat, action in general talking, I'll tackle it all.
Does the Kouri Plushie exist?: No, Thane ate the last remaining one. They had a disagreement while hanging out together in hammer-space.
