Name: Nadira Adonai
Age: 33
Race: Human
Sex: Female
Homeland: Kingdom of Tuleria
Nadira was born into a middle class family in the Kingdom of Tuleria. Raised alongside her twin brother Maher (who as he points out on a regular basis was born a few minutes before her) by their mother and father, their father a mage who could wield the element of water, began teaching her the basics of water magic around the age of 5. At 12 Nadira's mother passed away leaving her father alone to raise too raise the twins and continue their magic training.
in her late teens Nadiras father also passed, She then accompanied her brother traveling, she did not want to be left in their home with the memories that still haunted her.
Not long after they had heard of the banishing, they went their separate ways, Nadira could no longer stand her brothers religious ramblings.
She found herself under the tutor of a mage named Teila, who wielded an unnatural sort of magic, Blood Bending. Teila had accompanied the queen during the banishing of the gods. She told her of her old apprentice, and how she had told herself she would never pass on the knowledge of her magic again after his rather.. tragic.. death.
Nadira convinced Teila to train her in the use of herbs and potions. after a year or so Nadira stumbled upon Teilas grimouire while the healer was away, thanks to her previous training in magic and knowing how to fuel her water magic using blood, Nadira was able to use the grimouire to learn the basics. It was not long before Teila discovered her.
It was then Teila told Nadira of the danger of using Blood Bending, the risk of possesion. Teila, though feeling betrayed, then showed Nadira how to weild the blood properly, telling her stories of her time with the queen. Some were rather.. colourful when involving Teilas possession by the demon she still battled with from time to time.
She joined the queens blades after being prompted by Teila. Her constant warnings about learning control, finding more experience. She would not gain that sitting around dealing with herbs all day.
Motivation: After being taught the ways of blood bending, Nadiras former teacher Teila warned her of the risk of possesion that using blood bending could incur, it had taken years for Teila to learn how to control and surpress the demon who continued to wage war on her body. Teila suggested to Nadira that she join Queen Kouris Blades, Teila had learnt control while accompanying the queen before the kingdom was rebuilt, and so Nadira hoped that she too could stop any threat of possesion by assisting the queen.

Experience Traits
--Trait 1: Blood Mage: This character can use their own health and stamina to fuel their spell casting. The greater their strength, the more spells they can ultimately cast before they fall, though this is still quite limited in comparison to casting from a regular pool of mana, and incurs gradually worse and worse injuries on the mage until they die from lack of life force should they continue to rely on it to cast spells. On the other hand, this -does- allow a mage to cast spells in areas where magic is normally suppressed... Though it still doesn’t get past anti-magic artifacts, or anti-magic magic. It can also be used as a last resort should they run out of mana.
--Trait 2: Subtle Magician: This character is able to repress their own inherent magical talent in order to avoid triggering the senses of other mages nearby. The higher their magical endurance, the faster they can regain their full magical capacity when not suppressing it. Note, that while this prevents ranged auto-detection by other mages, there are still certain, more intensive and less accurate ways to “detect” mages.
Conditions
--Trait 1: Powerful Connection: This character has a connection with one of the most powerful characters in the world, be they powerful through politics or powerful through sheer force of arms, and for one reason or another has earned their attention and perhaps even their care. Either way, in times of great need or upon request, said character might appear to help them, delivering information, or saving them from a particularly nasty spot... All for reasons that only they know.
--Trait 2: Ancestral Ghosts: When entering new areas, there is a chance that an ancestral ghost will appear to aid your character in some manner. Be that something as simple as being a guide, to something as crude as slitting the throat of a guard, or unlocking a locked door. Once used, the ancestral ghost leaves the area and may or may not reappear later. Ancestral ghosts have their own personalities and histories, and as such, it is worth noting that since most people do not lead evil lives, evil characters may have a harder time convincing their ancestors to aid them than good ones. On the other hand, good characters may have a harder time convincing their ancestors to do perturbing or morally questionable acts, even if it’s for the greater good.
--Trait 3: Wells of Power: This character, whether a mage or not, is directly tied to the Wells of Power in the world at birth. Through this they have been able to subconsciously peer into Fate’s Web while dreaming, and have caught glimpses of potential futures. This character can sometimes tell when something is going to happen before it occurs, and has the chance to impact that event in such a way as to change it irrevocable, such as stopping a perfect assassination attempt, or knowing when someone is going to betray them, though their future sight isn’t always completely accurate.
Unique
--Trait 1: Oh brother I will hear you call: Throughout her life Nadira has had a connection with her twin, Maher. A connection that has only grown stronger as they both trained in the magical arts. They can speak to each other telepathically and when closer feel what the other feels if they feel it strong enough, injuries, primal emotions... other less comfortable things that they both would prefer they didn't feel. While distance can effect the strength of the empathic side of their link they have so far found now such disruption on comunication.
