RobCo sales & service center, East Boston

As the service lift ground to a halt Isabel pulled the safety door open and nodded to the two Robobrain minions who stood gaurd either side of the entrance to her top secret lair. Gazing out of the garage entrance of the ancient RobCo sales & service center Isabel took a moment to take in the sight of the ruined wasteland laid out in front of her. Little had changed since her self-imposed exile from the surface, apart from the sentry drones which hovered around the area, making sure no undesirables came too close to her sanctum.

Quickly checking the readings on her homemade radio rig the Mechanist turned towards south-east, in the direction of Scollay Square. From what she'd picked up in her search of the airwaves the news that another hero for truth and justice wasd at work in that neighbourhood had lifted her heart. Perhaps there were still those in the world who lived to support the American Dream, who could aid her in her unending war against The Forces of Chaos.

Beside her Sparky buzzed and clicked, informing his mistress that signals were being picked up from nedarby hostile lifeforms. "Don't worry, my little companion," Isabel spoke up, her voice filled with righteousness, "None shall divert the Path of Justice."

With her heart bouyed by the sentiment Isabel stepped forwards into the ruins, making her way towards Goodneighbour with her Robobrain servants grinding in her wake.

@Duoya "Thanks. Name Henry. Male. Nice meet both you. Please, put on ground."

She was just about to place the box on the grond, as the strange buzzing sound had requested, when Temper saw the food girl reaching out and grabbing one of the critters before popping it into her mouth.

@TheHangedMan "Hey no problem, so long as you don't mind sharing. You don't mind me havin' one, do you Henry? I've got a bunch of other snacks to spare, in return."

Just then another girl approached, dragging the green girl with her, who now seemed to her a large frill of leaves fanned out behind her head. Temper tried not to stare, but that wasn't too difficult as the new girl pulled out more food in the form of rice and sushi which immediately made Temper's belly grumble hungrily.

@Indra "You guys~ Don't mind if we join you?"

Despite the sandwich, as good as it had been, the slip had probaboly used up more energy than she'd eaten and licking her lips Temper reached out to pick up some of the exotic foodstuffs on offer.

@Eklispe "Would you mind keeping the disruptive noises such as that down please, such noises can be rather distressing, especially when unexpected. And given the situation, it's likely best to wait for a staff member from the academy rather than causing a ruckus."

Jerking her hand back Temper quickly looked over her shoulder in the direction the whiny voice had come from, but couldn't make out who had spoken in the crowd. Instdewad she just called out "Sorry," hoping her terse apology wouldf make up for the disturbance. Turning back she went to grab at the sushi with her free hand again only to be interrupted once more.

@JELDare "Alright kids, pack your stuff up and comeo n, time's a wasting."

Hanging her head in exasperation Temper let out a deep sigh before turning to her new friends. "Looks like we'll have to chat more on the bus," she said in a slightly peeved manner. "Don't worry though, I'll get us the seats at the back. Oh, and the bugs will be waiting for you." Her last comment was directed to the cloud of wasps whcih called itself Henry, and without waiting any longer Temper let herself slip into thinking time again.

*BANG*

And with that Temper was gone, along with half of one of Reina's lunch boxes.

As the undead approached Arwyn backed away. Not only were her archery skills failing her but now her vision was as well, sight which should've made the darkness as bright as day seemingly worthless in the shadowy depths of the dungeon. With the beasts closing quickly the archer quickly stowed her bow and instead pulled out her twin blades of trusty elven metal while calling the winds to her to push herself back, letting the monsters pass by as she moved out of their way. (Light Step ability)

Once the beasts had moved up between herself and the Yule-bidden human Arwyn surged fowards, her blades slashing at them from behind. Having seen Arton's example the elf aimed for the creature's necks, above their golden breastplates where the rotting flesh was exposed and vulnerable. She alternated between the two closest corpses, hitting each in turn to keep them staggered and offbalance as she struck again and again. (Flanking melee attacks with Estent Magoli)

@TheHangedMan "Peanut butter."

Plucking the sandwich from Gabriel's outstretched hand with a smile, Temper froze as the stranger reached out her other hand to stop her waving at the wasps.

@TheHangedMan "Yeah, you might want to stop doing that, I'm pretty sure that these wasps are a person. Or something. They can talk, so I'm pretty sure. Besides, they gave me honey, so their fine in my book."

"Oh shit!" She exclaimed, quickly pulling her hand away and turning her attention to the swarm for a moment, before realising what she'd just said. "Oh crap!" She exlcaimed again, the automatic response to having sworn in a public place when trying to make a good first impression with the people she'd likely be stuck with for at least the next couple of years, maybe longer if she was forced to use her alteration too often. "Oh dammit!" She finished off, responding to her first response as she realised that she'd just done it again.

The shockwave made a loud *BANG* echo around the station as the air quickly flowed back into the space she'd pushed it out of during her little sojourn, and a gust of wind ruffled everyone's clothing, and the plant girl's outspread leaves for a moment. Reaching out with a smile Temper opened her lunch box and held it out towards the central mass of the wasp swarm. @Duoya

"I'm terribly sorry for that. I didn't even consider the possibility you might be more than you seemed. Here, I got these for you." The lunch box was almost overflowing with multi-legged critters, many of which started to make their way up and over the side as they quickly tried to make an escape from their unexpected prison.

"Oh, and thank you for the sandwich," Temper said, turning her attention back to the food girl. "It was delicious. My name's Temperance, but most people just call me Temper. Please to meet you." Carefully balancing the lunch box with one hand, Temper held out the other towards the food girl, ready to shake if the stranger wanted to.

Carmen sneered as she listened to the officer talking. Not so long ago she'd have been listening intently to the briefing, making sure to take note of every deail in case it turned out to be pivoital to her mission later on, but not anymore. After being betrayed and discarded the former specialist had had to learn to survive in the cramped military prisons she'd been dumped in and her disrespcet for corrupt and self-serving officials had grown significantly.

Idly her hands dropped to her waist, and she plucked one of the pistols she had been given from her holster. Almost as second nature she released the clip, cleared the chamber and checked the barrel sights before slamming the magazine back in place. It felt good to have the weight of the weapon in her hand again, and her palm formed itself around the familiar pistol grip as if it was part of her body. Repeating the actions with her other pistol Carmen began to zone out, letting herself fall into the calm meditative state she normally adapted before a mission as her body prepared itself for action.

Leaning against the wall Temper felt her stomach growling. It had been a long journey, especially for her with all the slips she'd made adding time to the trip, and she'd used up a lot of energy on the way. Lifting her gaze from the pages of her book she glanced down the platform, trying to see if there was a cafe or snack stand where she could get something to eat, but with all the people gathering around she couldn't see anything.

On the verge of giving up her search and going hungry until the group got to the school, Temper happened to glance over at her fellow students just as the crowd cleared, giving her a clear view of Gabriel who seemed to have plenty of food to spare. She even seemed to be attracting the attention of quiet a few of the wasps who had been buzzing around the platform.

Quickly slipping into thinking time Temper casually made her way through the frozen crowd, weaving between the people as they held their poses like an army of less well-disciplined terracotta warriors. Stepping up beside the girl Temper relaxed, slipping back into boring time with a small popping sound before tapping Gabriel on her shoulder while smiling in what she hoped was a friendly way.

"Excuse me," she said in an uncertain, hesitant tone, "Could I possibly scrounge a snack from you? I'm starving here and I'm not sure how long we're going have to wait. Preferably something with nuts, if you have it." As she spoke Temper batted the crowd of wasps away with her hand, tempted to slip back into thinking time to get rid of them all but wanting to hear what Gabriel would say first before she did.

Temper had hated the train ride, she always did. Whenever she was at the whims of pther people's schedules, having to slow herself down as they caught up with her with nothing to do in the meantime but wait for them left her bored and restless. Several times she'd taken time out to step off and explore the different stations as they'd passed through, only a few minutes at a time and back in her seat again before anyone even noticed she'd been gone.

After a while the conductor had come around with a puzzled expression on her face at the thunderclaps popping in the air almost too regularly to be natural. Temper had to keep herself in check after that, after all most people still didn't seem to like it when she 'slipped away' into her own little time zone, her 'thinking time' as she called it. Taking life at her own pace suited the young woman though, her laid back casual approach made life so much more bearable than having to spend all her time in 'boring time' with everyone else.

It was a little lonely at times though, and when she'd started to run out of books in her home town Temperence had finally agreed to let her paretns send her somewhere her talents could be "honed to the betterment of society", as her father had put it. Her parents had had it rough with her over the last few yeasrs, especially when she'd been a baby, slipping into thinking time between feedings and nappy changes so that they'd had to be constantly awake and caring for her, even if the first two years of her life had been squeezed into only a few months from their perspective.

When the train pulled into her final destination Temper's first reaction was to slip into thinking time and make her way casually off the train before the crowds had a chance to get in her way. Relaxing she realised that she'd only end up having to wait longer for whatever transport they'd arranged to get the group of them to the school from here, so instead let the seconds slip away as strangers made their way past her.

With only a few people left, the herd having cleared out, Temper finally stirred from her seat, moving at a slow pace as she gathered together her things and made her way out onto the platform. Several orthers seemed to be gathering around, as if waiting for something, and Temper made her way over to them.

@Frettzo: "Hi, everyone! I'm Lea but you can call me Leaf, let's be friends!"

Nodding her head with a lazy smile Temper simply replied "Hey," before heading passed the purple-skinned girl and settling into place leaning against a nearby wall. A moment later Temper did a double take and slipped her blue tinted glasses down her nose to take another look at the girl, confirming that she really had bright green skin before turning her attention back to her book.
Name:
Maevina "Quintis" Moonripper

Species:
Dolorrite

Bio:
In her early days Maevina was nothing more than just another arena fighter, battling her way up the rankings alongside her fellow huntresses. However the challenge of one-on-one duels soon became too little to satiate her thirst for combat and at the pinnacle of her career the young witch challenged all five of the tournament champions to battle simultaneously.

Many believed the presumptuous young upstart would be torn apart by the proven combatants in short order, but somehow Maevina managed to play them all off each other, utilising the strength of one to undermine the weaknesses of the others as she wove her way between the group, taking her time to wear them down with her exceptional speed and grace. Finally with only the last champion left alive, the tendons in his limbs shredded by her precision cuts leaving him helpless before her, Maevina raped the seasoned fighter in front of the crowds of Dolorragh, forever shaming his name while christening herself anew in the crucible of combat before finally snuffing out his worthless life.

From that day on the respected and feared warrior has been known as Quintis, the slayer of five.

Weapons of choice:
Blades. Lots of blades. Quintis loves almost nothing more than to feel her victim’s blood flowing over her hands as she kills them, except perhaps when their sexual juices are flowing just as freely. While others have tried to convince her that ranged weapons have their uses, the Huntress has yet to face a challenge where her mobility and grace haven’t been able to get her close enough to her target to plunge a serrated blade into their bodies.

Extra:
Even for a Dolorrite Quintis is considered fast, with a sublime grace to her motions which leaves opponents dazed and confused. She likes to play with her food before finishing them off, often employing overly complicated attack patterns, dancing around her target before finally finishing them off. Many facing her have believed themselves in control of the combat, until finally feeling her blades sinking into their bodies.

@JELDare How rare would Temper's Chronokinesis be?
