Bio

Hello,

I am Gordoth Enodious. I call myself that way. It is not my actual name, but for the purposes of a forum I'll remain Gordoth.

Concerning my experience with roleplaying, I cannot say I am experienced, but neither can I say I am inexperienced. I have tried roleplaying, but I've never managed to hold a group together for any longer than, say, three or four days, as they lost interest in the process. I consider myself literate, but I'd think everyone on this here forum IS literate.

In connection to the preferences I display when dealing with roleplaying, I'd say I have two, those being Fantasy and Science Fiction, however I am more than interested in participating in all kinds of activities hosted by the Guild.

And about me. I am a rookie writer of fiction literature. I enjoy playing video games of all kinds. As is to be expected by one who visits forums such as this one, I am more keen on experiencing stories. I enjoy reading all kinds of literature, I partake in the viewing of many movies and I relish in observing art.

That's about as much as is needed, I'd say. Overall, consider me a jack of all trades. I will ask for tips and explanations, as I am not familiar with the process of roleplaying on a forum. I am enthusiastic about all of this, so holler if you feel like it.

"You can not understand me. Not because it is something that can not be understood, but because you lack the knowledge needed. You can not understand, simply because you have not lived. Only once you have seen that, which I have seen, will you be able to see something. Only once you experience the horrors, experienced by myself, will you understand. Through living after the suffering I have lived through, will you understand. Are those things you can experience? Are those things you can go through in one hundred years, eighteen of which you lack the clarity of mind needed to be human? I fear it is not possible. I fear that becoming human, at this moment, depends on understanding. But not everyone can understand. Why, then, is it that you are all considered humans? None of you seek to understand each other. None of you even seek to understand others. I fear it. I fear this thing, which you call human, is not what truly is a human. You have lost the understanding of the word you use to describe yourselves. Without knowing what you are, without understanding it... You can not understand me."

The half-elf looked at the individual who had invited him to his table. This was not how he expected it to happen. In his mind, he had created the illusion people would go to him and ask 'what job are you offering?' and he'd say 'suicide!', afterwards they'd look at him strange and go back to their seats. He did not expect to be be beckoned by a visibly drunk, imposing man with a beard older than most of the children the unwilling recruiter had seen.

Concerned, but hopeful on the down low, he started making his way to the drunkard. He took note of the fact his body appeared a little strange, as if it was strained, but also relaxed. Could it be that this man was a warrior? Passing by other drunk individuals, unintentionally kicking outstretched legs, the half-elf reached the empty table. It was empty, save for the beckoning one.

"I'm Urdal." Introduced himself the reluctant participator, as he pulled out one of the chairs and sat down. The barmaid made her way to him, but with a wave of his hand he dissuaded her from servicing him. The half-elf's brown eyes focused on the drunk man.
Use @Bishop's Character sheet as an exemplary character sheet.
@Inkarnate
Let us say it is non-conventional.
What I proposed goes into a 1v1 arena type later in the roleplay, being preceded by team based pvp.
Combat encounters can start in different ways. An ambush, or groups walking into each other. (for the first half)
Then the fighters get introduced and then walk into the ring of the coliseum, beginning the fight. (for the second half)
Genius plot idea for you.

The lord of a sizeable piece of land has an ulterior motive as he hosts a grand tournament, the prize for the victorious one being a quarter of a million gold, which will allow the winner to live wholesomely till the end of his life. This, of course, attracts incredible numbers of soldiers, martial artists, mages and so on.

They (the contestants) accumulate in the capital of this land, they sign up for the tournament and wait for the lord to announce what's up.

The lord decides to make the tournament a two-parter. The first part will involve a group of mages teleporting the contestants to an area, uninhabited by people, and having them make their way to a coliseum in three days. Thing is, there are no rules concerning the contestants not killing each other while looking for the structure.

The second phase involves the contestants being lined to fight each other one on one until there is only one left. They can surrender or fight to the death.

What the contestants don't know is that the lord is trying to accumulate multiple souls for a ritual that will give him something - power, or infinite riches or whatever it is you want it to be.

How does that sound?
Count me in.
Having characters you made yourself is a good thing, you know. There's one person who indirectly *borrows* characters from different fandoms and roleplays with them, so you have that going for you.
And since you are experienced, that means all doors are open to you. Welcome!
I like turtl-- Purple.
Welcome to the guild! I hope you have a grand time here. There are certainly some fire Emblem threads, and even if there aren't any, you could start one yourself!
@Bishop Both parts. Get creative.
@Bishop That is a little lazy. Change his name and appearance, touch up his story a little more, remove or add something to his arsenal so that he is not just a rip from the cough game.
Also post character sheets in the characters thread.
CHARACTERS

Bring out the big guns and create a realistic character within this unrealistic setting. Make sure you read up on the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. stat system, and stat your character accordingly. Remember, even though flawed characters are not attractive, they are the most realistic ones!
