Bio
Hello,
I am Gordoth Enodious. I call myself that way. It is not my actual name, but for the purposes of a forum I'll remain Gordoth.
Concerning my experience with roleplaying, I cannot say I am experienced, but neither can I say I am inexperienced. I have tried roleplaying, but I've never managed to hold a group together for any longer than, say, three or four days, as they lost interest in the process. I consider myself literate, but I'd think everyone on this here forum IS literate.
In connection to the preferences I display when dealing with roleplaying, I'd say I have two, those being Fantasy and Science Fiction, however I am more than interested in participating in all kinds of activities hosted by the Guild.
And about me. I am a rookie writer of fiction literature. I enjoy playing video games of all kinds. As is to be expected by one who visits forums such as this one, I am more keen on experiencing stories. I enjoy reading all kinds of literature, I partake in the viewing of many movies and I relish in observing art.
That's about as much as is needed, I'd say. Overall, consider me a jack of all trades. I will ask for tips and explanations, as I am not familiar with the process of roleplaying on a forum. I am enthusiastic about all of this, so holler if you feel like it.
"You can not understand me. Not because it is something that can not be understood, but because you lack the knowledge needed. You can not understand, simply because you have not lived. Only once you have seen that, which I have seen, will you be able to see something. Only once you experience the horrors, experienced by myself, will you understand. Through living after the suffering I have lived through, will you understand. Are those things you can experience? Are those things you can go through in one hundred years, eighteen of which you lack the clarity of mind needed to be human? I fear it is not possible. I fear that becoming human, at this moment, depends on understanding. But not everyone can understand. Why, then, is it that you are all considered humans? None of you seek to understand each other. None of you even seek to understand others. I fear it. I fear this thing, which you call human, is not what truly is a human. You have lost the understanding of the word you use to describe yourselves. Without knowing what you are, without understanding it... You can not understand me."
Okay, @FalloutJack, I'm guessing we are waiting for Numenor to come down the stairs now and react to you. In the meantime, we can have @Lady Selune and @Fetzen introduce their characters. Orky or Aredis can say or do something with Urdal while we wait.
Interesting, though Urdal as he extended his own arm to meet the green paw. Neither of them seemed to be adamant on being informed what their rewards would be, which calmed the half-elf. What he did not like was the apparent insolence, displayed by the orc, and the blank stare directed by the limping... Priest.
"Very well then! I'm Urdal, glad to meet you, Orky. I'm honestly surprised you don't know about the Gods dying - it's been a week since it happened, and it's all people talk about!" Answered, and introduced himself, the recruiter, smiling kindly to the friendly, green fellow.
Now that things were set in motion, he could not turn back. He probably had an out if he had wanted to quit before speaking to Numenor, but now that he had recruited not only the master assassin, but also an orc and a strange ex-priest, he had no way of getting rid of his burden he had suddenly placed upon his shoulders. Urdal could feel the eyes of the patrons, digging into his back, sides and face. They were probably wondering what kind of maniac would be hiring people for now. True, there had been about three jobs posted on the board in the sewer all week, on top of that, but that didn't mean normal, legal work could not be done... Or maybe it did.
Karaulish felt the satisfying sound of flesh being pierced. The spear was now in position, as he would call it. Instead of trying to pull his weapon out, as most rational men, and soldiers, would, he instead moved his right hand further back along the shaft, sliding the left to keep the gap between them a constant.
He then pushed hard - not with his utmost power, but hard enough to, most likely, topple the orcish woman if she did not apply significant resistance. His right hand was the main source of force behind the push, as he had drawn it back far enough to place the palm at the butt of the spear handle. What he intended to do was to force the orc back, or, potentially, deepen the wound, and in this process push himself a step back as well, gaining the opportunity to draw his blades.
"Very well." Retorted the older, in appearance, man and started slowly walking forth.
His eyes were steeled, locked on the opponent facing him. From the middle of the three foot bridge, he would need about twenty six feet and a half to reach the center of the arena, currently occupied by the inhuman adversary. The fact that a blade had been materialized out of thin air concerned Karaulish, to an extent, but he deemed it not as frightening as it would appear to others. Simply shrugging it off would have been too much, but taking note of it was as much as he was going to do about it, for now. A blade that had not been there before could, probably, disappear again, resulting in some unpleasant surprises.
Feet moving at a measured pace, left, right, left, right, they always stayed in position, reimbursing the stance he had taken. He closed in. He was planing on making his way to a point where he would be at around ten feet distance from his opponent, that way he would be able to force him to initiate an attack, rather than be the defender for the duration of the fight, during which Karaulish still held onto his spear. That would not be a very long lasting moment, he figured.
Okay men, and maybe women, whoever finds themselves looking at the IC, if their character has been told something, try to answer in due time. If you think there is an appropriate opening for your character to appear (for the first time), go on ahead and write up a post. Might want to let us know in the OOC thread here. @OrkytheOrc should say something IC now, since Rockerman did the thing.
Physical Description: A bland, spiked red metal mask hides his face. His long black hair is held in a samurai-style bun. Spiked, gold pauldrons cover his shoulders, leading into black sleeves covering his arms up to right underneath his elbows. His right forearm is covered by a gauntlet reaching up to the joint of the elbow, which is, in turn, covered by golden plates sprawling into a circular pattern, which provides a measure of protection. The rest of his arm is also heavily plated. His left limb is far less protected, the only part which is shielded, through metal plates, is his forearm and his hand. His torso is protected by light golden armor plates, underneath which rests a flowing coat which reaches down to the middle of his calves. His legs are covered by thick golden plates reaching all the way down to his feet. The plates defending his calves have an extension, which lands right above the knee, allowing a more visceral attack through a kick.
Personality: Cunkuu is still young and has yet to taste defeat, thus he is more arrogant than any person should naturally be. Another thing which aids in fueling his arrogance is the fact he is a bit of a prodigy, mastering spells in about two times less than other disciples of the arcane arts. Although arrogant, he still possesses a level headed way of acting in battle, focusing on outmaneuvering and outsmarting his opponent.
Skills: State of Perception: Cunkuu can perceive everything that occurs in a set period of time. During this period of time, Cunkuu experiences time at a pace two times lower than the pace at which time goes on for other beings, and upon looking at an object in motion, his mind can calculate the exact speed and weight of the item, as well as figure how that object would end up relative to his body upon completion of its motion, on top of which he can see, with extreme clarity, how it will ricochet off of surfaces. During the State of Perception, Cunkuu can make miniscule adjustments to his own motions, so that he can, with utmost efficiency, avoid attacks or land strikes that wouldn’t have landed. The drawback of the State of Perception is that Cunkuu can get overloaded with information, at which point he will stop experiencing time at a slower pace and return to his ordinary state of being.
Abilities: Fireball: Cunkuu forces the air in a sphere atop his palm to ignite, creating a ball of flame, which can then be thrown in a direction of his choice. If interrupted, this spell can potentially result in the ignition of the air around the caster. Laguna Blaze: Cunkuu ignites the air around himself to such a temperature that it starts moving rapidly, creating the illusion that the golden-clad warrior is shifting his dimensions. In truth, while the air is as ignited around him, he can fire a bolt of air, ignited to such an extent that it perfectly resembles a lightning. A Cut: Cunkuu swings in a direction, infusing the attack with arcane energy, leading to a trail of magic to follow the strike’s width, resulting in a pinpointing of a location. After the location has been pinpointed, Cunkuu can think of it, and the location will collapse in on itself, creating an almighty attraction, as the world tries to glue itself together, which lasts for half a second, but has the potential to rip the human body in two, if said body is at the location. Dome: Cunkuu generates a thick field of dancing lightning, which spans about three inches in diameter, anywhere on his body. The ‘Dome’ can withstand impossible amounts of pressure, and is effectively indestructible, but the young mage cannot maintain more than one at a time, and not for longer than a few seconds.
Equipment: Cunkuu wields a two handed longsword with an eastern design. It’s just a sword, four feet long, made out of ordinary steel.
@FalloutJack This is grand. I can see some nice chemistry between Numenor and Endrokin potentially brewing up. You're in. Interesting way to measure age.
