Bio

Hi there! My name is Gray!

I've been roleplaying for about 8 years I think? Started out on this shitty app called Text+ and been hoping from place to place since then!

I enjoy slice of life roleplays most, as well as post-apocalyptic settings, either with utopian or dystopian themes

I'm a soon-to-be college grad, for the past 3 years I've been studying game design and development, learning how to make games from scratch! As such, I'm also a gamer, my favorite game currently being Dead by Daylight. You can watch me suck at games over on my twitch!

Thank you for coming to my profile!

Ursula Dratch

àŒ»đŸ‚àŒș

A smirk curled onto the young woman's darkly painted lips. Taking a long drawn out sip of her drink, she let out a very fake dreamy sigh, turning her head to look at the dancer. She knew this wasn't her kind of humor. She was too much of a goody-goody for her head to normally be anywhere near the gutter. "Oh April, wouldn't you just love to know?" her eyebrows raised into a suggestive expression, before she laughed wildly at noting just how uncomfortable the girl looked.

Suddenly through her own laughter, she heard Matina. Oh sweet innocent Matina... That's not quite what April meant... Trying to hold back the last fits of laughter, Ursula wiped her eyes to keep the tears from escaping. She looked from Matina's face, to her hand, then back up at Matina. "And by buy, you mean steal, right?" Oh yeah, she was never gonna live that down.
Trinity Carcia

Gender

female

Age

19

Inner or Outer City?

Outer

Appearance

Trinity is a short young woman with nearly sickly pale skin, freckles dotting her face and shoulders, only growing in amount when she's exposed to the sun. Her hazel eyes are hidden behind rose coloured shades, and if anyone were to catch their gaze in the right light they could claim they seemed red themselves. Trinity's hair falls down to her shoulders, is a light strawberry blonde, and soft to the touch. Her clothing is plain, and cheaply made, but clean and well kept.

Background

Trinity comes from a poor family living in a small, crappy apartment building in the outer city. Growing up, her family had very little, but it was always a great day when they finally got their hands on some liquid emotion. She had to share her small bedroom with two other siblings, and practically helped raise them while her parents worked to scrap up enough food for the table. With the poor conditions she was subjected to, addiction wasn't entirely out of left field, she began stealing from her parents in order to pay for her favorite emotion, peace. Eventually her folks found out, and threw her out of the house, as there was no possible way they could take care of her, or expect her to pay them back. She decided to try and clean up her act, with its ups and downs, without the fabricated emotions she was riddled with anxiety, and living on the streets wasn't helping that. Just recently however, a man took her in in exchange for her being his assistant, and this was her saving grace... One day Trinity Hope's to be able to return to her family and be accepted with open arms.

Personality

Trinity is soft spoken, polite, and very sweet. However she's also deeply troubled and deals with a lot of anxiety over her past mistakes. She's incredibly grateful to the man who took her in and is trying her hardest to redeem herself.

Level of addiction

Recovering, but often relapsing.

Pro or anti liquid emotion?

hypocritically against

Other/Extra Info

She's a decent singer, enjoying swing music in particular.

Although devastating among mankind, the last world war allowed for many technological and scientific advancements. The greatest accomplishment made by the American scientists was being able to figure out a formula for liquid emotions. This was then used against the enemies, subduing them and ending the war. However, the damage was already too great, and humanity would never be the same again. America took what was left of its population and moved everyone into New York City. They began selling these new liquid emotions to raise morale, until the government began to grow more and more sinister.

Through the use of these bottled emotions and their carefully watched distribution, the government had successfully overtaken everything. They controlled anything from what shoes you would buy, to who you’d marry, to even how loyal you were towards the system that ran you. The emotions leaked however, and soon exploded into the black market, running rampant throughout society. Whatever concealer humanity had used to cover its troubles has long since crumbled, and the liquid feelings have become near inseparable from the average individual.

The government cut off most communication with the outskirts of the city in an attempt to retain what control they could, and the now abandoned outskirts have fallen into disarray. People would buy emotions to delude themselves, blind both themselves and others to the problems they faced in life- a criminal could escape punishment by slipping his jailers empathy, an unrequited flush could manipulate their crush right into their arms with a dose of love- emotions were used so frequently in cases, that nothing of the individual’s personality seemed to even remain. It was the social normality to have some dose of emotion at least daily, government prescribed or illegally bought.

Though the inner city remains under careful inspection, the chaotic lenience of the outer city has given rise to a group who have every intention of putting an end to the use of these emotion drugs- a group that is slowly becoming a full blown rebellion.

The inner city is where the most underhanded corruption takes place-the problems of society going largely unnoticed by its population. The government still has a tight grip on the ongoings here, and the “illegal” trade of emotions is very limited, though the legal distribution is vast. Taking emotion is so much of a social normality in this district that those who don’t take emotion are looked upon differently- often treated as if they are overly delicate, or children- as those who take emotion simply cannot understand their emotional struggles, or their “wild claims” of society's failings. The city itself is relatively clean, and equipped with all sorts modern conveniences such as public transport, GPS, tidy movie theaters, etc. Some might say it’s a very sheltered place, in which case, they would be correct.

The outer city is considerably more violent than the inner, where liquid emotions run in lower quantity, and only the wealthiest individuals in the area can afford it in any large amount. Here, many more see and acknowledge their corrupt community, but aren’t in much of a position to do anything about it, as they engage in fist fights for the mere act of keeping hold of your own fairly bought food if irritated enough. Those without emotion are still looked down upon, less as children, and more as society's rejects- a waste of resources and space- as they have a harder time dealing with the reality that surrounds them. The government, while still a presence here, has largely given way to the overwhelming illegal trading system that resides here. The city itself is quite run down, with more litter than walkway at times. It has only a few modern conveniences such as radios, working restrooms, land lines, shitty satellite television, etc.

Not yet an actual rebellion, but rather an ever growing group of people with the wish to put an end to the widespread distribution and use of liquid emotion. Though this group does occasionally accomplish dangerous feats such as the theft and destruction of emotion in transport, they have no clear figurehead, and have accomplished very little in the grand scheme.

"Do you know 'Simple and Clean' from Kingdom Hearts?"

Ursula's attention turned from the music sheets towards where the sudden request came from, eyes meeting with April's. Yup. That added up. Such a melodic and graceful tune fit for a ballerina. Barf. Ursula turned away and sneered. "Well, I was thinking something more along the lines of Ocarina of Time... Perhaps something from Contrast, if you'd ever heard of it. But I'm sure miss Prima Ballerina here is just itching to hop around." Ursula leaned her back against the wall, sipping at her warm drink while waiting for the final verdict.
@Chiro That absolutely works! I think it'd be cool!
I'm gonna try and get a CS started up either tonight or tomorrow.
