Leetus is 'supposed' to assist Arthur by either protecting him, or taking out potentially dangerous opponents. A task he will abide to at the start, but will ultimately neglect in pursuit of his own agenda. Of course, if you have any other suggestions, I am totally open :)

Nah, I'm not abandoning our fight, it's just that Killstreak's backstory forces him to enter the Everlasting arena through Arthur Greystokes as a non-participant. So I guess you can get your preliminary post up, and Leetus will come waltzing into your thread.

I do have something similar in mind - shifting into completely diffrent forms with diffrent abilities - only without the 'soul stealing' part, having a preset range of froms he can shift to that cannot be increased.

I don´t think there would be any problems with that, as long as it requires at least one tick of charging to perform, and doesn´t have a "This isn´t even my final form"-kind of thing to it.

That is pretty much how it is intended, yes. I assume then that the equipment is good to go as well? What about the tier? I popped him up to 5, but should he maybe remain at 4?

Once he is accepted he will momentarily appear in the area of the fight (right next to Arthur, more or less), but will promptly leave unless told otherwise.
