Right um here's my character. Hopefully she fits in the setting. ^^.

  • Full name: Birdy Cephon Altira

  • Alias: Shion Arita, Berserker Killer Birdy, Officer Birdy

  • Brief Bio: Birdy came to the planet Earth chasing various intergalactic criminals due to her profession being a police officer of the Space Federation. Settling down and undergoing a long undercover mission, the Ixioran Alteran crafted a human identity in order to leave behind a paper trail and make money: bubbly and slightly airheaded Shion Arita; rising Japanese idol and model. Nowadays she juggles showbiz and police work in order to crack down on the various baddies.

  • Abilities: Birdy is an Ixioran Alteran, basically a bio-engineered superhuman soldier bred for combat. Trained since childhood to become a Space Federation police officer, Birdy is an expert in CQC-like martial arts and various alien tech geared towards subjugation and capture of targets. She is also superhumanly strong, tough, and agile- able to leap small buildings and race along a highway faster than the cars driving in it as well as punch through cement walls with ease with the aid of her special bio-energy. By concentrating the "flow of energy" onto a singular point, she can greatly increase the power and impact of her strikes. She can also convert her bio-energy into strong electric currents, though she can't throw it as a ranged attack by itself. Her suit though rather revealing is clad in an invisible skintight barrier that protects her body briefly from penetrative force such as blades and bullets, though with enough brute force they can get through the protective features. The suit also has an appearance changing feature that can instantly swap her clothes as well as dye her body's pigments a different color than her natural form's, allowing her to assume her Shion Arita identity. Birdy tends to carry around props such as smoke canisters, flash bangs, and explosive devices and is the owner of a small biomechanical spaceship that allows her to fly and communicate with the Space Federation's headquarter planets. The spaceship also has a healing tank for when the hotheaded police officer gets all sorts of banged up.

  • Personality: Birdy is a rough and tough kind of girl, easily excitable and sharp tempered. Confident in her abilities, she tends to snark about during her fights as well as tease her enemies incessantly. Despite being rough around the edges, Birdy is very intelligent and takes her job as a Federation officer seriously and believes in upholding the law and catching any and all criminals causing trouble. In her guise as Shion Arita, she acts more passive and cutesy- affecting a bubbly and ditzy persona so as to be more agreeable with the public.

  • Appearance: Birdy Cephon Altera and Shion Arita

  • Affiliations: Violin- A service droid that was essentially Birdy's adoptive mother when she was a child, Tuto- her guardian AI which takes the shape of a small flying squid like creature, Skeletso- her giant lizard like instructor in the police force, and Nataru Shinmyou- her childhood friend and fellow Ixioran Alteran with the ability to teleport.

  • Notes: Birdy eats quite a lot of food to replenish herself after a great deal of exertion.
  • GM Worldbuilding Session #1!

The Custodians are somewhat a cross between Full Metal Panic's MITHRIL and Evangelion's NERV. Officially, they are an independent organization are funded by the United Nations to act as a specialized response unit to problems that conventional military tactics and force cannot hope to subdue, containing both military and civilian branches. Unofficially, they hold a lot more power than most people think and are responsible for releasing "safe" technologies slowly into the world to improve overall life since they field experimental black box inventions created by geniuses decades ahead of their time (and also profiting greatly off these patents so as to achieve the greatest independence possible).

Though publicized, very few realize the true extent of the Custodians' might and influence and their inner workings highly secretive, on par with Area 51 or the Illuminati. Despite this, they are also a haven for "nails that stick up" and recruit the best in their various fields despite personal quirks and backgrounds, much like the Nadeisco's Nergal, all the while offering a high degree of freedom unheard of compared to most other secretive organizations. Even their name was picked to be as innocuous as possible so as to provide both the public and their enemies with the assurance that they are just one of other such similar minded organizations out there.

Their antithesis is a group dubbed QLIPHOTH, ruled by a mysterious council of ten that regularly incites wars across the world (and sometimes even guiding alien invaders to Earth) for "fun and profit". They have enough power to erase small countries over night and supplies arms and forbidden tech to the worst of the worst, perpetuating a cycle of violence solely for amusement value sometimes even. They are cancerous and whisper sweetly poisoned words into the ears of the movers and shakers of the world, tempting them into darkness. Employing any and all means to achieve their goals, QLIPHOTH has since time immemorial planted the seeds that would spring forth the worst tragedies to ever happen across mankind's history. Why they do this is anyone's guess.

    More to come later.
    I shall post tomorrow then.

Though right now it's a cool down period before the next Trial begins and thus characters can spend their time doing various activities whether it be having fun or skulking about the City, trying to amass resources and such.

Totally the tone for this setting. And discussion thread will b e up either tonight or tomorrow.
I'll give out my GM decisions tomorrow after I talk to Rin.

Also nice world building and interesting characters, people!
Right um, explanation time. Expies are basically something that shares a lot of the same characteristics as the source but at the same time different enough to be their own character.

This is an example of expies: Char Aznable who inspired a whole slew of clones after him. Note that while all of them have masks and mystique, they are all uniquely different enough to not be the same person. You can use something close to canon mecha in terms of appearance and function, but outright using the form is kinda bad form for something considered an original mecha game. ^^.
I'm sorry to say that the Gunman and Evangelion will have to be vetoed. Much too close to the sources, plus you're out right using the images and they're too powerful for the beginning of the game. Scythe mech and soldier mecha is accepted.
