I'm interested! And also I still have the the basic character skeleton for an elf society and stuff too, ready to be tweaked and adapted! Link to wuxia-based elf society!
@Silver: Thank you very much, accepted.
@deadpixel: Accepted! Welcome aboard. @Silver: Your bio's okay except for some of the abilities where no one can really defend against things such as the nerve weakening and bone collapsing. If you can edit those into something like "an area where staying there too long results in that" as opposed to directly being able to do that, it'd be more acceptable since then people could react to it.
The Intro The stars are being explored a by a great multitude of species, their ships sailing through the starry seas in search of wonders never seen before- mankind included. In the twenty second century (Earth time), Humanity has discovered an artifact of an ancient precursor race dubbed as the Eternal Relic buried on the far side of the moon. Upon investigating the strange object in the shape of a giant crystal spire, the race of Men attained knowledge and wisdom that was previously unheard of along with awakened powers that were previously only heard of in myths and legends. Several cultural, spiritual, and scientific renaissances happened in quick succession, global problems were resolved for the most part, and the population as a whole were enlightened. Having access to information that allowed them to quickly build up their nations to the far reaches of the Solar System, humanity now eagerly turn towards the great unknown space beyond the Milky Way and the aliens waiting to be contacted... In turn, the aliens are eager to see what these new beings has to offer to the galactic stage... The Setting Basically full on Science Fantasy in tone and setting, this rp will be focusing on the interactions of man and various alien species that the players are encouraged to think up. As in the Science Fantasy genre, supernatural elements exist, but on a vast scale that spans multiple planets, solar systems, and even galaxies. Specifically, players will create characters (and full-on alien races if they so choose) that are aboard the exploratory city-ship Archimedes, as their team of specifically trained diplomatic adventurers whose jobs are to specifically scope out uncontacted planets or other giant space structures to see if there is anything of interest. Terms of Interest The United Earth Forces- All of Earth's governments, but extended to control the entire solar system a la United Nations. Various colonies have been put up on the moon and the neighboring planets (especially Mars), and the Asteroid Belt has various mining camps situated upon larger rocks. Despite the name, Earth actually has two major factions: Gaea and Terra. The former are countries of a more capitalist nature, such as North America and Western Europe while Terra belongs to the Communist parties and their allies. The Star Sea Alliance- As the name implies, an Alliance between the United Earth Forces and their various alien allies with whom the Blue Planet is on particularly friendly terms with. Its primary function is to provide deep-space exploratory, peacekeeping, and military services. Think a combination of Star Trek's Star Fleet and Nanoha's Time Space Administration Bureau. True Relics- Artifacts left behind on various places by an unkown precursor race that grant space faring species the technologies and knowledge necessary to quickly leave their home system. Tends to awaken supernatural powers (magic, ESP, and ki) in some individuals or if they already know it, makes it easier for them to access and build up their powers. Virtually indestructible and has safelocks in it to prevent hacking attempts upon its database. The Archimedes- A gigantic city ship made using blackbox technology pooled from the joint effort of various races' True Relics given information. It is upon the most cutting edge that current technology has to offer, and more than capable of defending itself from many threats due to its vast arsenal (antimatter torpedoes and megalaser cannons come to mind with multiple layers of forcefields for defensive purposes). Oh, and it has lots of space fighters, space defense drones, and space battle cruisers inside as well the capability of transforming into a ridiculously huge giant mecha form. Capable of supporting up to one million individuals and comfortably sustaining them as well with enough space for farms, factories, and entertainment districts for all their citizens'needs. It is also powered by a True Relic. Heralds- A specialized form of diplomat. They are trained to be able to scout out unknown settings and report back to the Archimedes about their finding and whether or not it is worth allowing full contact with the locals and the city-ship. They are the best of the best, masters of specific fields, and all are capable of surviving and overcoming great odds in their missions all the while representing the best interests of the Archimedes and the Star Sea Alliance. Essentially what the main PCs are. Character Sheet Name: Age: Gender: Species: (Name up your own alien race if they're not humans.) Appearance: Text or image links both work. Personality: Skills, Talents, and Powers: (The last is if they are capable of using one of the three supernatural energies of magic, ESP, or ki. No autohit abilities like mind reading though.) Equipment: Can be rather fantastical such as vibro knives, power level scouters, rocket boots, and even high tech magic wands Brief Backstory: What they did before becoming a Herald and why did they become one. And if you're using a nonhuman species... Species Name: Home Planet: Description of what it looks like or image. Appearance: Brief History: How did they rise to civilization? Notable General Information: What the race in general all have in common with that other races can generally indentify them by such as temperament, physical or supernatural abilities, or appearance.
"Indeed? Then henceforth, I shall do my best so as to not anger the great and powerful Dark Mistress of Evil." More blatant straight faced words came from the inwardly amused elf, even as he looked the very opposite of frightened. "In any case, make sure you finish up the apple before it gets cold... It tastes much better when hot and juicy." And then Alaustriel glanced at the newcomers even as music and announcements made everything jarringly louder to his sensitive ears. "..." Seeing that another child was covetously looking at the treat, the high elf ranger simply bought another one no questions asked to hand over to the boy. Children in general were rather nice and refreshing, partly because elves don't have much young people running about and partly because they are rather innocent and endearing. Humans were so lucky they could have such numbers of children running about. And then... an ominous human siege tower arrived. "Oh, great and terrible Lady of Pain, do be careful. I fear that you will experience a most jarring encounter should you not sidestep two paces henceforth lest you be buried by an avalanche." Still, not even kids were safe from his snark. He had a standard to maintain and all. Really, this was all too easy to make such materials for.
People, a veritable sea of them. How one place could ever be so crowded, even with such festivities such as this always boggled Alaustriel's mind. Used to his own race's rather smaller populations and to the solitude of the wilds, being cramped like a canned sardine was not something the young ranger enjoyed. One had to always be vigilant in such circumstances so as to not be stolen from or menaced by in certain spaces, as well as fight through the throngs just to get to your destination. The discordant smells and sounds also did not help and if anything added to the dizzying and muddling of his senses. An ever so slight frown etched itself on the elf's face, cursing his own slight appearance for working against him in such times like these. Though the crowd was only adding to Alaustriel's annoyance, he continued onward, jostled by just about everyone bigger than him, which even included a couple of the human children who were ahead of him by mass. After all, when many people congregated en masse, it often meant that the meeting place would be flooded with goods and supplies that were normally spaced out much farther and over a significantly vaster area, which meant much more traveling time. Here, an adventurer could easily pick up all their essentials and trade in their own. Import and export at its finest. Despite having been born a high elf, Alaustriel had thoroughly explored the professions of his wood elf cousins and picked up the craft. Forestry came naturally to him, and thus his affinity towards woodworking earned him quite a few bags of coin. Wooden figurines, expertly crafted bows, and even wands ready to be charged with magic were all made by his own two hands while traveling about the various regions were sold in Starter Town. Though they weren't masterworks like those who truly committed to the craft, neither were they of any quality below high average. He had his pride after all. Most of the coins were then spent on supplies, mostly salt, spices, herbs, and oils from abroad as well as a few camping supplies that he had to replace. He didn't need much after all, and often planned for long expeditions since he preferred the roads left traveled and the only thing he would splurge for were ingredients to make food taste better and toiletries to hygienic purposes. Anything else he could simply gather from the wilderness or trade for with other travelers. It was after he was quietly exulting over the find of various pouches of high quality tea that he heard a commotion in the distance. Curious to see it in person, the green-clad youth wandered towards its source with pointed ears tuned towards the sounds. Soon, he found that it was a human child (from his perspective) loudly stating exactly how villainous and evil she was... and failing miserably due to her looks. And he was most certain it was bravado or a role to be played, like those actors from the theaters and operas. Feeling a bit bad for how everyone was all but ignoring the poor girl, he politely clapped. "Bravo. Would you like a candied apple as tribute for not outright destroying me?" Alaustriel said with a calmly even tone and straight face, even as he held a stick with the dessert perched atop it: a crunchy green apple glazed with sugar and roasted about a flame evenly so that the surface was caramelized and the insides juicy enough to squirt out on the first bite with just the right amount of tartness to make it so that the treat was not overly sweet.
Character Sheet
Name: Alaustriel Theme Song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HTR-7y1GWbk&list=PLB7C54A78B5EC3290 Gender: Male Age: 121 Appearance: Please don't call me a child... Personality: Alaustriel is a rather snarky individual with a very sharp tongue, which he doesn't hesitate to use or even hold back in the least. He's a bit on the reserved side and is a naturally cautious fellow that is more at ease when out in the wilds than when in more enclosed spaces and is often quite cool-headed in most situations simply because it takes quite a lot to get him worked up. He also has a hidden soft side for children and often joins in on their games due to his youthful appearance. Favourite Colour(s): Leafy Green and Sunshine Yellow Favourite Food(s): Fried Rice Hobbies: Woodcarving, sculpting, engraving, cooking, camping, riding. Weapons: Alaustriel carries on his person a longbow made from an Ironbark Tree (which as the name suggests is rather sturdy and hard) and a few trick arrows such as serrated ones to excaberate wounds or heavier ironcapped ones for armored foes at the cost of overall range. Also he carries a dagger and a short sword as well as an even dozen throwing knives made from a special hard ceramic that he commissioned from his previous adventures due to the fact that the ceramic does not rust. Powers/Abilities: Alaustriel is an expert woodsman and tracker who can flit about woods with nary a sound while making use of all of nature's bounty that most people would not even think of even accessing, and is a master archer whose unerring arrows pack a lot more punch than his slight frame suggests- partially due to his access of low leveled life magics that strengthen the body's inherent characteristics and also healing abilities that lets him heal light wounds. Other than that, he's quite good at fending off people who gets too close through any versions of daggers/knives/short blades and an unorthodox kick based martial arts style that make use of his powerful legs. He also knows his way around cooking whether it be survival cooking made in the wilderness with a minimum of ingredients and tools at hand or proper fare made in the kitchen full of bountiful ingredients due to his picky tongue appetite being one of the few negative high elven traits he cannot rid himself of, as he loves good tasting food. As such, he knows quite a bit of information on just about anything edible and their effects having gone and tasted them all personally. As such he has poison resistance towards many plant based poisons due to ingesting trace amounts of the things to develop immunity to. Biography: Born in a high elf society and as head of a minor noble house, Alaustriel chafed under the stifling and often times stuffy society that was so dismissive of everything not their own culture. Eventually having enough of being cooped up, the young elf literally leaped out a window during a particularly off-putting tutoring lesson and discarded his finery and clan name to live a free life that he always wanted. Somewhere along his travels, the elf apprenticed under a ranger and became a wood elf in all but species. Now he goes about righting wrongs he finds with a brand of rather chaotic justice. And arrows.

Also interested. XD
Is it okay for me to reserve the place of the crew's chef? I wanna draw him up myself before making his bio, which should be up by tomorrow anyways. XD
