I'm enjoying the intro's to how everyone ends up on the ship, when I read the others it got a fire burning, that and the shantys Grothnor provided. I'm looking forward to it and Empires.

"Where are me boots? Me noggin' noggin' boots?/ ALL GONE FOR BEER AND TOBACCO!"

All the pirate songs I have are from Assassin's Creed 4 (the pirate one). The game developers put a great deal into their historical accuracy, and that included a bunch of sea shanties and piratey tavern songs.

Here's a link to the shanties...
...and the link to the Tavern Music.

In case you need to induce a piratey mood.
How's that?
Raymond Skalter was in the music shop, perusing their selection of fiddles. He was examining a fine instrument when the proprietress approached. "Do you see anything you like?" Raymond turned his head and glanced her over before replying, "Yes, two beautiful instruments." She brought a hand to her mouth and blushed. He reached for a bow and asked, "May I?" She nodded and he played out a short but beautiful tune.

"I can see you are quite skilled. Are you a famous musician?"
"No, not famous. Infamous, perhaps."
She took a step closer. "Infamous for what, exactly?"
"Getting too close to women I shouldn't." That, and murder. He thought.

It didn't take much 'bargaining' after that to get the considerable price of the fiddle cut in half, though calling it a fiddle was like calling a 50 year old scotch 'booze.' It was a Lendrian viola, an instrument from his home island. A very fine piece of artistry, and in the hands of a professional, which Ray was, produced a fine mellow tune. A bit higher pitched that his one back home, but he'd hardly been able to take everything in his mad scramble to escape....

...It was late that night, maybe 2 or 3 in the morning when the guards burst into the sleazy dockside tavern to arrest Raymond Skalter for the murder of Daniel Setn. Raymond was besotted, having given up all hope of escape. His family had given up on him, the Setns were crying for his blood, and she was gonna get away with it all. The guards were making their arrest proclamations when Ray said "I was framed, you daft barstards." Ray couldn't remember much of what happened immediately afterwards, but he gathered he had 'that cute girl with the eyepatch who ordered a water in a tavern' to thank for his escape. She had dragged him onto her ship after fighting off the guards. She asked him weather or not he was really framed. And he told her the whole story, about Daniel, and the bitch who got him killed and Ray framed for it....

Ray shook his head, dispelling the thoughts of that night, and the growing scowl on his features. It wouldn't do well to dwell on the past, even if it was only a week-and-a-half ago. Hopefully we move on soon. The more distance between me and Lendria Island, the better.

"Guh, I need a drink." he muttered, and headed towards the tavern.
I don't like the idea of mucking with the 40k canon. That way leads to heresy. Heresy leads to the Inquisition.
Ok, fixed that problem.
Gunner/Musician Raymond Skalter, reporting for duty Cap'n.

How about some Music, boys?
Name: Raymond Skalter

Age: 24

Gender: Male

Appearance:

5' 10'', Blonde ponytail, brown eyes. (He looks like Edward Kenway from AC4 in the above outfit minus the hood, and physically slimmer, less muscular and no facial hair, scars or tattoos.) Wears a red scarf bearing the StarDusk Pirates emblem in the center and a small family crest in the corner tied to his left arm. Prefers more expensive clothing.

Position: Gunner/Musician

Personality: Among the crew, he is friendly, garrulous, laid-back and affable. When in the presence of anyone outside the crew, he becomes proper and formal, the spitting image of a gentleman pirate. He has a tendency to flirt with women, even with female crew mates, though in that case its usually meant as friendly banter, though he doesn't flirt with the captain. He likes singing and playing the fiddle for the crew, and leads the crew in many shanties and tavern songs. He values loyalty above all other virtues and is extremely loyal to the Captain and crew. He despises disloyalty and traitors.

Special Skill: Fencing/Dueling. Though he uses a saber or a cutlass more often than not, he carries a rapier with him at all times which he is expertly skilled with. On the rare occasion that he draws it, the fight he is involved in usually ends within seconds. He also carries a small concealed pistol for emergencies.

History: Raymond clearly was a man of breeding, in the way he dresses and carries himself. He prefers not to talk about his past, but he has admitted that his musical talents and swordsmanship came from his wealthy upbringing.

Why did you become a pirate: The way he tells it, Ray was press-ganged when the ship he took passage on turned out to be a pirate ship, though whenever pressed for details, and then only when drunk, all he'll say is that he fought a duel over a woman and lost, though sometimes he says he fought a duel with a woman and lost.
Ok, here's my Character:

Let me know if I forgot or need to expand anything.

EDIT: I pledge loyalty and honor to the High Ruler of the Empire.
