Yeah. When the trainees were sent into the city after wall Rose was breached.
The English dub goes up to the end of the battle of Throst I think, maybe a bit after. I've watched the dub and read the manga.
You should probably have watched all of or most of the English dubbed anime, up to the end of the battle of throst. As for branches, it seems like you can join any but each of our characters will probably end up in the same place. On a side note, what if we created a new military branch that all of our characters get put into to avoid everyone getting seperated after training, maybe some sort of elite brigade that does jobs to help out all three when needed?
Shuya's lip quivered a little as his eyes darted left and right, surveying his future comrades in arms, he didn't know any of them and he eventually fixed his eyes on the commanders in front of him. His arm snapped to his chest and he stared forward, he was on the front row and was determined to make a good first impression. The salute held firm and rigid until they were dispersed.

For a very short time he thought about heading over and standing with the scouts, following his original career choice but he soon shook his head and turned to go to the military police. He followed Laura over and stood close, still at attention with his legs spread slightly and his arms behind his back. Again looking over the other cadets who wished to join the MP Shuya swallowed and turned his gaze back to their instructor as she spoke.

Taking the lead over to the barracks he was amount the first to arrive, the cadets grouped outside the barracks. He instantly turned around to face the others, time was ticking and he thought he might as well get it started. "Fellow cadets! I am Shuya Takuto and at my old regiment I raised a bird that was abandoned by it's mother until it was able to fly!" He shouted so they'd all be able to hear him then bowed swiftly and opened the floor to the next one to introduce themselves.
Now up close and personal with the creature that was clearly no Hylian as he had fist assumed, Angus ran through what his options were. He didn't believe a word of what the creature said, no entertainer would behave this way, you didn't choose that line of work and show such disregard for children. He noticed the figure was looking him over, assessing him and...Was he growling? The situation was uncomfortable for the black smith, he had often stepped into arguments and disputes or set people straight but he mostly relied on his superior size to intimidate the opposition.

He knew this type of person, an arrogant and confident macho man with an ego and superiority complex that even the sky couldn't contain. A though guy, someone who would push people around because they were too scared to do anything about it...A bully. The question was what should he do about it? People like the one in front of him were strong and Angus didn't want to start a fight, especially not with all the people around, while he thought that he might be able to beat the stranger if he got pushed into a confrontation he didn't want to find out.

On the other hand he didn't want to back down and inflate the guy's ego any more, instead he thought his best choice would be to try and reach some sort of compromise. "Hmph, just watch out for the little ones alright? If you cause trouble here then you and I are going to have problems." He could have said a lot more, ranted about how it was his home town and that he didn't care for fools but he knew that it would only lead to the person shrugging, rolling his eyes and giving a stupid and irritating answer. Angus knew that the person would probably ignore him but at least he had done something, showed this outlander that Hylians wouldn't simply roll over and take abuse.
Spencer continued to stare at the woman for a while before she began to look around, he quickly hid his face behind his book and was sure he'd been spotted...But she wasn't looking at him. He followed her gaze up to the television and frowned, a little confused. Was it some sort of new viral add? After a little while he realised it was a video to coincide with the message being played on the cafe's radio, quite an impressive marketing stunt he thought to himself, chuckling a little at the part about an "evil alias" a new spy comedy? Then he started listening.

This was a hacker, one of the best he'd ever heard but a very stereotypical one. Some rich kid with too much time and too much of his parents's money and not enough love or attention, locked away in a basement somewhere trying to get people to notice him with some lame and pointless idea. Or was he an anarchist? 'Burn the city, collapse the government, give movies and music for free.' Either way Spencer didn't much care for this Mr Decent.

He simply shook his head as he listened to the ramblings, the world was unfair and that was the way of things, no way to change it. And sure there were people he didn't get along with, maybe a few times he'd thought about someone dropping dead after they annoyed him but he didn't mean it...He couldn't believe that he did actually agreed with some of it though, he was bored and sick of doing the same thing everyday, with a shrug he decided to speak, he took his old mobile phone out and spoke into it. "So what are you going to do about it?" He asked simply, assuming that the man would hear him.
I think it'd be cool if for the final year of training they pool the most promising recruits into one brigade, that way we know each of the characters is skilled and they don't have to know each other, it also means that some can know each other if two players want that.
Name: Shuya Takuto
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Appearance:
Allegiance: Cadets
Preferred Weapon: 3D hear and blades, pistols
Regiment You're Joining: Military police
Biography: Born and raised within the edge of wall Sina in a moderately wealthy family. Shuya's father left the house a few years before the fall of wall Maria to join the scouting legion...He never returned, on his last expedition his father was apparently separated from the rest of the scouts. His mother raised him alone but Shuya believed his father was still alive outside the walls and aspired to eventually join then. As time went by his mother found out about his plans and forbid him from ever joining the survey corps. She thought that a life in the military police would suit him well, it was safe from the titans and he would have enough money to live a comfortable life, eventually Shuya began to come around to the idea.
Turning to look at the smoke in distance Keyton also sighed a little with disappointment. He stood up and made ready to descend the tree, maybe the two could find something else interesting to do until the elf resumed his training and studies. "Hold up a sec..." He frowned and looked out at the fire again. "That fire's waaaay out from the village, I don't see a reason anyone would start one." There was never really a good reason to start a fire, he began to stroke his chin as he saw his father did when thinking. "And would the guardians really need to hold a meeting about it?" His trail of thought was coming to a close. "What if the monster is the one that started the fire?!" His eyes widened a little as the conclusion fell upon him and. "That means it can shoot fire! It might be a dragon!" He looked down over the edge of the branch and began to think up the fastest route to the floor that the two could manage and then looked up to Garoth waiting for his word to move.
It's going to be set in our galaxy, Earth an important and wealthy planet being where humans came from but it's not the most wealthy because there are bigger planets with more resources. It's not going to be high space fantasy with FTL and robots and the like, more Sci-fi but a more gritty and dirty version. Technology is very advanced but hard to come by and the most powerful tech isn't hand held.
1. How about we have aliens but they're not as advanced as humans, one or two races that were discovered and are now treated as second class citizens by most and slaves by some.
2. Perhaps we can set it during a civil war between the central planetary government and a large number of outer planet rebels. Our crew will be neutral to begin with and simply be trying to make a profit from either side.
3. Keep in mind we're going to be a relatively small crew so a warship isn't very practical, though it could be interesting as we struggle to move it.
