Well then! I introduce this old character of mine with new story to tell.
Age: 36
Appearance: Arsene's height is bit over 170 centimeters and weight around 65 kilograms. Arsene has a messy, dark brown hair, long enough to go over ears but not over his eyes. The eyes are green and tired. Face is quite thin, triangular with cheekbones sticking on both sides. His lips are thin and face has quite usually an uncertain look.
He is quite lean and wears long, black jacket made out of fake leather. Underneath he has sweaters, dark red or blue as his usual colors, bit baggy to hide his skinniness. Jeans are bit saggy and too long, the cuffs are ripped as his worn leather boots have stepped on them. He looks like a poor man's matrix cosplay.
Concept: Dweller at the edge of paranormal realm. Lost soul that also walks between this world and others, hoping to get a piece of greatness from the other side while careful not to be eaten by it's inhabitants.
Arsene's dream: To get hold of something powerful from the deepest parts of Jotunheim, Abyss or some other realm. To become a legend.
Powers/skills: Arsene is a talented sleight-of-hand artist, a pickpocket and good at distracting people. He has connections to those at the edge between this world and others, known as ”The dwellers” or "edgers" or "rimmers" or what you want to call the, that he can ask for guide on paranormal rumors and assist... For a price. He has some knowledge on how to get to the other side, how to stay safe there or what awaits there. But the deeper one goes, the harder it is to have any reliable information. Deep enough and there are not even rumors.
Arsene has been lucky twice in his life and gotten hands on two artifacts. One is a horn from a lowly demon, capable to corrupt and disturb magic, but it's already losing it's power. Second one is amulet of Tyr, won from a card game. Protective runes are written on the golden coin's edge. Whispering them aloud creates a push of force that he can use to repel enemies or push foes away. But that too is for escape purposes, not for serious fights.

Behind the Character dreams Adventures into the unknown. Mysteries, terror and drama. Every now and then I want Arsene's information to be cause of trouble when his information is off. Also between character to character, relationships perhaps starting from needs between one another and character and relationship development during the course of RP.

One should never set even a little toe to the edge of Inferno. Even the gateway there that they had crafted didn’t look inviting. A Fiery pit of meter in radius filled with hot embers, charcoal and pieces of burned animal bones, made into burning mess with cursed oil. All surrounded with ritual circle that four of them had been drawing. Chantings in ancient languages that the most experienced of them had translated had made the high flames disappear and left a fiery pool, in which they should dive in.
Each were wearing similar bracelets, given to them by most experienced, Arezo. Arsene had met her on his trip to Pakistan. There were rumours of her travels and treasures that she acuired from other realms. Whispers told that she had been deep in the fourth circle of Hell, brought relics from lands of the dead of greater power and even made trades with beings in dark dimensions. Arsene could tell that most of the stories were just exaggarations when told from one to another. But that was what brought people to her, to get even a pinkie finger of powers tales told.
”So… Do these work?” Robert asked. He and his friend, Jenny, were young people from university. They weren’t faring there well but thought that these kind of excursions would bring them… Arsene didn’t know. Happiness, make everything alright? They wanted the powers of unknown but didn’t know what to do with it, they just knew it would solve all their problems. Arsene looked at these two poor souls in their hoodies and jeans, taking their first big adventures. Their faces were mixed with fear and excitement. Arsene answered on behalf of Arezo. ”To a degree. We arrive somewhere in the edge. But when we go deeper, flames in Inferno get stronger and then they’ll lose magic.”
Arezo frowned in her black gawn. She entered the pit. With each step she sank deeper and deeper, until at the center she had been swallowed whole. Arsene looked at the two, pushed some hair off his forehead and said ”Glofy favors the bold” before entering the pit himself. It felt warm, not hot thanks to the runes, each step found a solid footing deeper in the pit. Around him the embers came around him like a balls in a ballpit. He closed his eyes. And then, as he reached the center, he was pulled underneath, deep through realms, into the Inferno.
Arsene was waiting outside the fiery pit through which he had hours ago entered Inferno. He was furious, trying to sit on a tree stump. Eventually the pit let out sparks in the air and out came Arezo. She dusted off the ash on her gawn, before she noticed Arsene. ”Oh. You survived.”
”That I did.” He said, looking with a murderous gaze at her.
”And two others?”
”Never made it. Quite clever trick you made there, sending us to the hounds. Used us as baits so you could get deeper.”
”And how did you survive? Holy water has no power there.”
”Neither did bracers you gave us.” He said and spat to the ground. His amulet had given him enough leverage to run from them hounds. Few pushes to barely save himself, not enough to save Robert and Jenny who were caught by the hounds almost immediately. Their souls would be tormented for a good eternity in that accursed place. Arsene was left with curse that one of the hounds gave to him with a bite to his arm.
”Yes. Pity. I expected them to last longer. Well… Mine did.” She said with half a smile. Arsene noticed though that she was not satisfied with a trip.
”Well, was it worth it? Sacrificing those two idiots there?” Arsene said with loathing.
”No. I couldn’t get deep enough until they sensed my presence.” Arezo answered. With a half a smile she continued, looking at Arsene. ”It seems they didn’t have enough to eat.”
