Hello, I'm going to share my personal favorite top 5 goldfish crackers commercials. These are listed on my opinion, so yours may be different.

#5
"Talent Show Results"

In this episode, Gilbert is crowned the winner of the 2nd Under The Bed talent show. It is one of my favorites because Gilbert rarely ever gets the spotlight.

#4
"Vacuum"

I like this one a lot because it's the first appearance of the vacuum. It will be shown again and again through the entire series.

#3
"Sleepover"

This is the second commercial of the goldfish commercial series. I like it because it is the first one to show all the characters' personalities.

#2 "Leaving Home"

This is the first ever goldfish commercial. It introduces most of the characters, and gives information about where they are from. I even used some of their original homes in my goldfish roleplay,

#1 "Dominoes"

My personal favorite through the entire series. I really like it

If you want to join my goldfish roleplay I wanted to start a while ago please join.

Name: Cinnamon
Age: Unknown
Gender: Male
Origin: "Applejacks Adventures" commercial series
Appearance : Cinnamon is the one on the left.
Skills: He is VERY fast. Look how fast he is
Short Bio: In an unnamed cartoon world, mostly resembling the real world, Cinnamon raced his evil rival, bad apple to the bowl of applejacks whenever one was poured. When he got to the bowl, cinnamon flavor went on the applejacks. Besides racing to each bowl, Cinnamon spent most of his time relaxing. Later, Bad Apple turned good and Cinnamon and Apple became friends. They still raced to the bowl however, to see who could get there first.

I have a question for Hamburger:Which is better? Applejacks or Goldfish? In terms of actual product and marketing.

If I had to pick one I would choose goldfish.

What is your problem?

What do you mean?
A few days ago, I sent an email to Ken Lidster, the animator for the Applejacks Commercials. I am a huge fan of him. My questions were:

1. Did you come up with the "Applejacks Adventures" campaign? If so, how did you get the ideas for the characters?

2. Will the "Applejacks Adventures" campaign continue? There hasn't been any new commercials for a few years.

3. Which commercial did you enjoy making the most? Mine is either "Late for work" or "Dream"

4. Why did the Bad Apple become friendly with CinnaMon later in the series?

His reply was:

Hi -----

Thanks for the email, I don't get them very often.
I suppose the general public rarely ever think that there is anyone behind the commercials they see everyday.

In answer to your questions: no I did not think up the original characters. It works like this; a company wants to sell their product (Kelloggs). They hire an ad agency to formulate and execute an advertising strategy. The Agency comes up with the idea and looks for a production company (in this case an animation company) to then make the commercial.
The Agency had the idea for Apple and Cinnimon and approached several companies trying to find someone that best reflected their vision. In this case it happened to be me.
I worked with the agency creatives to design the new cereal duo and then of course the world that they lived in. We came up with the mixed drawn and puppet look that was so enjoyably cartoony.

Kelloggs has been pulling back on the amount it spends on tv advertising. It started with the economic slowdown. Since then they only seem to make a spot for AJ every two years.

I'm not sure which was my favorite to work on. As for the finished product "Dream" stands up really well.

It's interesting that you noticed the change that Apple went through. No one ever notices. Originally the idea was that the two were always trying to get to the bowl first. To create a bit of fun or tension having the characters contrasting each other was to be the plan. Cinnamon the layed back Rastafarian always wins over the greedy kniveing Apple.
Just after we started the campaign a group of people started to protest against companies that they felt were at fault for making the children of America fat. They targeted Kelloggs and specifically AJ's because they were telling the general public that: "Apples were bad. As was portrayed in their ads".
It was decided to change his personality to appease these people.

Thanks again for the email. It's always fun to get a question now and then.

Ken
You wake up on a sidewalk. As your eyes adjust to the daytime you sit up, wondering where you are. There are buildings painted with bright colors. Some are big and some are small. In fact, the entire area has a very awkward layout.

You think the entire place is empty until CinnaMon, the cinnamon stick from applejacks commercials comes up to you. "Who are you mon?" he asked. Before you can reply an 8 note tune plays, indicating that a bowl of applejacks has been poured. CinnaMon gasped. "We gotta get to the bowl! Come with me, mon!" CinnaMon began running down the sidewalk.

You get up to your feet. In an alley between two buildings is bad apple, the villain who tries to make Applejacks taste like apples. "I'll get that cinnamon... And then we'll see who's the 'winnamon'" the apple mocked. He sees you staring at him. "Hey, buddy, want to help me get those Applejacks? There will be a reward in it for you..."

What do you do?

Choice 1: Catch up with Cinnamon

Choice 2: Join forces with Bad Apple

Choice 3: Have a panic attack, suddenly realizing your are in the setting of the Applejacks commercials and have just seen both of the characters.

Well I know that specially marked boxes of Kellogs cereal are part of a complete breakfast, with a full amount.
