Not sure if you saw the original post, but I made some edits. It was done on my phone, but I’ll add more details when I get on my computer.
“You just don’t know how to shu-“ Atsu felt a hand tug at hers and she winced. The burn was just a few minutes fresh. The sudden contact made her flinch. “You idiot (baka)! What the hell are you doing?!” She tried to pull away but Kiaba’s grasp was firm. Any more pushing and pulling would hurt her even more.

She watched with transfixed eyes as he pulled out his cellphone. Then came the light. It moved from Kiaba’s hands to hers as if they were mending her wound. Atsu felt a warm sensation on her palm and it carried up to her arm. She couldn’t decipher if it was from the human contact or the magic that Kiaba seemed to be controlling. Atsu studied Kiaba’s face and saw the concentration in his eyes. Why he was helping her, she couldn’t understand.

“What are you..” Her hand seemed to be piecing itself back together. The worn skin became rejuvenated and the red tint turned back into her natural porcelain skin color. Within seconds, she felt the nerves return. Surely she was enchanted at whatever Kiaba had done to her. Surely she was thankful that he saved her a trip to the infirmary. Surely she was glad that her dominate hand was once functioning again. Atsu pulled away and took a step back, her face unexpressed.

“I didn't ask for your help.” There was a pang of vexation in her voice as she dug her nails in her newly mended hand. This encounter was going terribly wrong and it irked her. She knew that her brash behavior wasn’t taking them anywhere. Hell, it probably enticed Kiaba even more. Instead of storming away as usual, Atsu quickly wiped the stone stare from her face. It was replaced with a sly smile. A couple of strides brought her face to face with Kiaba. She leaned in leaving just a few inches from her mouth and his ear. Anyone looking at them may have mistaken that she was giving Kiaba a kiss on his cheek. She tiptoed and touched his neck with her previously burnt hand. Her skin grazed his as it pulsed warmly.

"Next time, I’ll just kill you” she whispered, her breath brushing against his neck. It was a chilling warning, a sign from her to him to stay away. "Do you understand?"

Kiaba's gestures of kindness threw Atsu off of her track. She understood the dangers that his friendliness imposed on both of them. Pushing herself back, Atsu spun on her heel and walked calmly towards the exit. It was already one hell of a first day for her.
I actually had this song playing while I was reading your post. I thought it fit perfectly.

Please don't hold her hand, hahahaha.

This is getting too cute.

I can't hang.
Attack is ineffective!
Her palms were warming up, the blisters starting to slowly boil under her skin. Atsu’s right thumb rubbed the side of her pointer finger as she tried to tame the flames inside of her. She couldn’t register why she was feeling threatened. Maybe it was just the situation that she was unfortunately drawn into?

“No.. That’s not it” she thought to herself. Atsu’s eyes narrowed as she watched the smoke drift from Kiaba’s skin. “Is he..?” Her emotions shifted from feeling vulnerable to fight mode. The transition happened to quickly for her to make sense of the situation. Quickly moving her eyes from Kiaba, Atsu looked for the a nearby inanimate object to focus on. The only picture that was screened into her mind was the boy’s skin. She wasn’t ready to set anyone on fire, not yet.

There! The school flag!” The wires in her mind quickly diverted the transmutation from Kiaba to the flag that was hanging behind him. With enough concentration and effort hard, she just might be able to..

Pmoof!

The flag burst into flames a second later, the fabric dripping from the pole to the ground as it soaked in fire. To Atsu’s luck, there wasn’t anyone standing near it as the blaze begin to devour the rest of the banner. Her body was tense as she felt the first degree burns appear on her right palm. Cursing under her breath, Atsu pressed her wounded hand against her skirt. As damaging her powers were, the pain mirrored back to her were just as dire. The initiation of the wisps from Kiaba’s skin had triggered Atsu’s fire transmutation. Her reaction to protect herself was as expected; but it took her by surprise and relief on how swiftly she was able to avert her powers.

“Tch.” Atsu scoffed. As annoying he was, she was even more irritated on what had occurred. If Kiaba hadn’t stopped her this wouldn’t have happened. Stupid kid. Stupid illusions. She almost broke her streak on not harming an abled-body and that thought itself frustrated her. What mattered to her now was getting her hand treated before any scars occurred.

“Maybe he’ll be too dense to even notice the flag.” She amusingly pondered the possibilities. Without another word to her perpetrator, Atsu decided on visiting the Academy’s clinic before class. Her shoulder nudged Kiaba’s on her way out, which of course satisfied her in every aspect.
Atsu was approaching the door when she heard a meek "hey" behind her. Unsure, Atsu stopped mid-walk and waited. There were still students walking about and conversations echoed throughout the gym. Surely she had just misheard.

"I'm... sorry? I think? Did I make you mad earlier?"

The voice sounded too familiar. Of course her only encounter that morning was with that strange boy. Unfortunately her memory sat vague and she couldn't trust a voice to recollect the face or name. Without moving her body, Atsu turned her head to the side allowing her peripheral vision to detail out the owner. The brown hair and school uniform registered a name that she was introduced to earlier that day. She recalled the interesting classmate; the student with the illusions. An emotion of annoyance passed through her body. What was this guy thinking, wasting her time in such a meddlesome conversation? Atsu shifted her body and faced Kiaba. Her face sat like a stone, the irritation that she felt tucked away.

"You're annoying."
@Suzuya

I would help but.. The story just kicked off and I think we’re all still trying to get acquainted. The welcoming ceremony just wrapped up though. Why don’t you plop something down? I’m sure you’ll run into someone.

Sorry my character is anti-social so we can’t be friends.
After the ceremony was over, Atsu continued to sit until a mere few students were still trickling out. Human bodies bothered her and she had always hated being around swarms of them. The ceremony itself didn’t impress her. Unfortunately the speeches the Student Council themselves were less than inspiring as well. She had her own personal agenda during her years at the school and it was certainly nothing to do with achieving ranks. The continual droning of success, strength, and seriousness almost annoyed her.

Ding! Ding!

The phone in her pocket went off signaling a text. The notification listed that it was from Kazuo Taoka.

1:16 PM
Good afternoon. I hope that your trip to Tatakai Academy went smoothly. I spoke with Mr. Kei and they should be able to make the accommodations that you had requested. Sorry for the delay. Give me a call if you need anything.
-Dad

Atsu clicked her phone off and slid it back into the pocket of her uniform. Though her father wasn’t as apprehensive as most parents she had met, Atsu grew fond of his detachment towards her. It allowed her to grow and be curious in studies she never knew even existed. It was after all, his suggestion that she attended the Academy to honed down her skills and education before taking on Auxier Enterprise. Atsu had no interest in fighting for or at Tatakai. She merely wanted to excel in her lessons so that she could finish off at an ivy league university. It was all she needed to take on the company and grow it even more than her father had. She wasn’t interested in her classmates, the fighting, nor the ranks. Atsu trusted the fire manipulation “powers” that she was gifted with. It was all she needed to create the empire that her father had always hungered for.

Noticing that the gym had quiet down, Atsu bent down to retrieve her book bag and slung it over her shoulders. Her first class wasn’t scheduled to start for another hour. She took this as a great opportunity for her to get some down time before the lessons began. The library was still undiscovered. Perhaps she would venture there for the time being?
Right. Because I want to.
