Bio

I'm Hayley. I'm a 22 year old biology student who still likes playing pretend. Kind of an old face around here but I've taken the last 6 or so years off RPing..

If you want to talk to me, don't be shy. I'm really nice.

Nice character. Accepted. :D

Sweet :D

  • People who use "whom" in everyday conversation or correct other people in use of the word "whom" should know that they are Ross Gellar and being Ross Gellar is bad because Ross Gellar is a total toad.
  • It's OK to eat honey even if you're a 'vegan'. Doing anything to death for the sake of a label or fitting into a community of zealots, be it feminism, being a 'punk', or any kind of activist stance, when you don't really believe in what you're doing, makes you a total sucker and a fake and you're wasting your effort.
  • There's nothing wrong with sex work and light drug use as long as everything is above board and SAFE, and doesn't mess up anyone else's life, including obviously kids. I'm not saying people should get into it, I'm saying that moral judgements on strippers and cannabis smokers are a waste of mental and spiritual effort, and talking smack about these people kind of makes you a tool.
  • Sometimes, it's "its". I'm talking to you, Science Communication professor. If you teach written communication, you should know all the damn spelling and grammar rules; it's your responsibility.
  • It's very annoying when people say "from whence". If you're going to talk in old English, do it properly. "From whence" = "from from where". From is a silly word.
Haven't RPd in a looong time and totally forgot how much investment a CS takes. Sorry it took so long to get this down...

*licks fangs* come at me ;)

This sounds like fun but I'm a lil busy for the rest of the weekend, when we planning on starting?

When Bisera was twenty-two it was decided by Rozelle, Lancifer, Vetis, and many other Shades, that is was high time to do something about Tallis, who had been left to her own crazy mind, and killing spree for the last twenty years. And so Tallis was locked away for her own and others safety, all the murders pined on an insane human woman named Elizabeth Bathory.

You made me giggle.
Name: Samantha Frost
Age: 19
Appearance: Samantha has a small, boyish figure, standing at 5'2". She has sky-blue eyes framed with dark lashes, dark eyebrows, and a small nose and mouth. Her hair is coal-black, hanging in loose waves to her shoulders, and her skin, which resists tanning, is pale with yellow undertones. She tends to wear black jeans and band teeshirts with converse, but is not opposed to wearing a dress from time to time. She has piercings in her left nostril, right eyebrow and belly button.
Occupation: Waitress, part-time freelance artist.
Personality: Samantha is bubbly and a little "zany". She loves to meet new people and talk to strangers, and has a passion for music. She can be a little emotional sometimes, over-identifying with characters in books, overreacting in negative situations, and, being the hopeless-romantic type, she tends to get lost in her daydreams.

Bio: Samantha's family moved to San Diego from England when she was five. Her father had had an affair and her parents had hoped that the relocation would save their marriage. It was Samantha who'd told her mother in secrecy about the "scary, pretty fairy" who often came to visit when she was away, and at first, her mother thought the visitor was just a making of the child's imagination. Samantha didn't understand the arguments that came shortly after that, but within months they had relocated to California. That was Samantha's first experience with the Sight.

Samantha settled well into school in America, made lots of new friends, and loved to play "fairies" with her schoolmates. When she was seven, she had a second experience with a Shade that put an end to her fantasies about "good fairies". It had been a hot California day when Samantha had been biking around the suburbs with her friends. The others had stopped at an ice-cream van and were eagerly queueing with handfuls of pocket money. Samantha had been distracted, however, by a young, handsome man with blazing copper hair and ruby-red wings, standing at the foot of a long driveway. She did a double take and found that her eyes had not deceived her, as he urged her closer. Gingerly, she dismounted her bike and walked closer to the man, at the feet of which she then noticed a box. She heard the yowling of kittens and moved forward to take a look. Half a dozen blind, mewling kittens squirmed in the box, climbing up the sides and over one another. The man with the wings looked at her with piercing red eyes, and asked her,
"Do you believe in magic?" Samantha did not reply, only eyeing him suspiciously. The man raised a hand. He clicked his fingers, and, as though he held a lighter there, a tiny flame appeared. It grew larger in his palm. He lowered his hand, down, towards the box, and it took light. The kittens screamed. Samantha screamed. She dropped her bike with a crash and ran, tears streaming, the screaming and the man's laughter ringing in her ears.

Depite prying questions from her friends, Samantha never told anyone what happened. Even at her age, she knew nobody would believe she saw a man with wings pulled fire out of thin air. She grew up, pretending to ignore those strange winged people she sometimes saw, never mentioning anything for fear of being labelled a liar or insane, and always trying to avoid their notice. In high school she became an avid fan of fantasy books and novels, looking for any sign that the things she had seen and experienced were not simply delusions, but to no avail. Eventually she began to grow out of her obsession, and found her passion for the arts. She sang in a band, she painted portraits, and she hid her sketchbooks full of drawings of fairies...

Her little sister Katherine was born when Samantha was fourteen. When she was sixteen, she fell in love with a boy named Eric, but the affair only lasted a few months before he got bored and moved on without her. She had a few boyfriends after that, but she never really felt much for them. They were mostly diversions. She left high school at seventeen and decided to defer her college application, but never ended up going, instead taking a job waitressing full time at a local café whilst persuing her art in her spare time. Over the next two years she developed her skill to a point where she could work part time at the café and paint commissions part time, joined a punk-rock cover band, and learned to drive. Life wasn't quiet, but there was no "big break", and Samantha feels dissatisfied knowing there must be more to life as a young woman in a big city. She is thinking of moving out of the family home into her own apartment soon.

Sighted?: Yes. Please don't make me write all that again ;_;
Other: Let me know if there's anything you need me to change. Hope this is good enough for you people
