I will ruin Space Marines for you now...

LOOK AT IT!

Couldn't resist. Sorry
Boerd, I didn't miss you. Check the accepted list.

700K is reasonable enough. I'll get to accepting you.
One in five of the total population...
Still a bit much. In 400 AD the largest city was Rome, with 800,000 people. But the Roman Empire had spanned most of Europe and the middle east. In 500 AD, the biggest city was Constantinople in Turkey at 450,000 people. If you are a major empire, like you are, something between these two numbers is most fitting.
I'm guessing a few people want to start this RP in earnest.

(Nooo, really Haz (?) I thought everyone was content to wait another week or so)

Shut up, Lyra. If you can forgive my little moment of insanity there, the IC should be up before midnight GMT. But that's about six hours away, so hopefully not too close to midnight.

I'll add gold mining, aswell as gold importing to the NS.Yes, gold coating is of an important issue, gold is the mineral of the Emperor, therefor, since the Holy Legion is essentially the honor guard aswell as Royal guard of the Emperor himself they are coated in the stuff to look as majestic and Royal as possible, there's also a couple religious reasons.

I took the plague into account when numbering the cities of the Imperium, I wanted it to be a large empire and simply because of it's large population disease and plagues would be a problem, which is exactly what I planned. But if you wish for me to make the city population smaller then I will do so.

It's not so much the why but the how. If you've added gold mines, that's fine.

Yes, the population in the capital needs to be much lower. About 500,000 people is pushing it. 2.5 million is just too much.
Remember that rhe population will live in towns and villages too. You don't need to list every settlement, just the important ones.

Of course there could be more clans but this isn't Ireland or Scotland. Its Helcore! Land of rainbows and magic. While further further back, the clans could have numbered in the many eventually they all joined up taking sides and formed six clans. Then civil war, then four.

I think a lot of people are forgetting that this isn't earth, but this is what ever this planet is called.

So you have to imagine some things a little different. For instance you have demon like creatures of the dominion, and the dexusjdhdh ones. Gotta let something's go

I know, but it seems a bit odd. I guess my nation is made up of Families which are no different. One Family could be made up of hundreds of different families. For example, all my Lords and Ladies are a part of House Crowthorne, but none of them are related to each other.
Is it like that?

Are we keeping the diameter the same?

I think so.
7 days non-stop riding from pole to pole. Of course, weather, terrain and the need to eat and sleep will slow you down, as will the horse just naturally slowing down.

Because after that the clans (six back then) ...

Only six? There used to be tons of Clans IRL. They were usually tiny. I remember reading something about clan MacConn of Ireland struggling to fit 11 members of neighbouring clan MacCadan into their rath. Eleven people entering a village or town nowadays is practically negligable
