Aria sighed laying on the cold concrete floor her pale blond hair sprawled out around her as she watched the swinging lamp, almost fascinated with its constant swaying trying to drown out the screams and howls of the new arrivals, a calm almost vacant look on her face as she raised a scar riddled arm and hand up to block the light making it cast a shadow across the room, 'It's pointless..why waste all the energy...' She mused curiously as she continued to stare ignoring the clattering of the door or the overly cheerful staff telling her it was a lovely day and that she would soon have a new friend her food cart the only thing standing between Aria and the outside of her room.
Letting her head fall to the side to look past the woman seeing the gleaming tiled floors of the facility, a small dreamy smile flickered over her face as she recalled all the times she had tried to run out and escape, the labyrinth of halls and labs, the beating afterwards, each time worse then the last, the scars running down her back proved that much to say the least.
'A foolish girl with hopes of escape..' Aria thought laughing at herself before slowly sitting up, folding in on herself so her head rested on her knees reaching out to take the small cup of medicine and vitamins being offered by the young nurse, the same nurse who had been taking care of her since she was born her three floors down, there was a time she would've needed two guards to keep Aria from claiming her throat, after all.that's what she was breed for.
Without saying a word she tilted her head back swallowing the pills ignoring the offered cup of water, watching as the nurse collected her things, rambling on about irrelevant topics, leaving a tray of somewhat decent food for the mute woman, sighing slightly at the lack of reply before shaking her head leaving.
Watching the door close Aria looked away examining the room, it was rather large and plush as far as the rooms there were concerned, a large plush bed took up the middle of the room with a small lounge chair calming the other corner, a small rug claimed the space in between, besides that she wasn't given much else as a luxury though she only had to ask for it, that is if she would talk.
Most would of called the young woman, broken and disheartened, that she had no pride in her species, however she was just realistic they were puppets having no reason for living but to entertain cruel humans with a taste for blood and exotic things.
She supposed she should be grateful she wasn't on some rich man's leash being pulled around like some commodity, at least now scarred and maimed in some places she wasn't as desirable as the younger years, spending most of them fighting and training in the arena, the sight and taste of blood staining her tongue and hands, there was no emotion in her movements, she continuously just goes through the motioned and expectations they expected of her with a dead gaze in her eyes, the only time they even seemed alive is when she steps into the arena.
