Makoto thought about her powers and figured that a fighting class would be a good place to start. "When is the Captain's fighting class? I may join you." Makoto said. She also wanted to take a health science class but figured that no-one else here would want to take that kind of course. After all, Makoto had wanted to become a doctor before all of this had happened.
Makoto listened to the very dynamic conversation going on around the table. She was surprised by some, curious about others and felt bad for them all. It seemed like they had all been through an ordeal of a sort either here or in previous experiences. They still seemed to get along though, and that was interesting. "Mmmm, this soup is so good!" Makoto mumbled, the liquid warming her insides. She had slipped away quickly to get some food while the students were talking. Assuming that no-one took note of her comment about the soup she tried to ask a question that would help her and Kagerou get to know their classmates. "So, what are you all taking? Outside of the mandatory P.E. class and..." her mind blanked, "That other mandatory class we have to take?" Makoto inquired to the group.
It's such a pretty, smooth design :3 Also, a heads up that Sundays I have the least chance at posting because I am at church all day.
"Hi." Makoto said. Slowly coming back to herself. Her name was already introduced so she didn't feel the need to give it a second time. She was kind of surprised at what Flood did, both in how it was mean but also that his movements were so fluid. She made a mental note not to get into a fight with him. Makoto was now even more confused about food. Phoebe had said that she didn't need money for it, but Flood had said he did need it. Unless that was part of his ... insanity, for lack of a better word. "Why don't we all go get food now, like Phoebe suggested?" Makoto asked the group, hoping that a potential disagreement may be avoided. It was refreshing however, that the students she has met so far seem to accept everyone for who or what they are, despite the butting of heads.

Yeah i do not know what to do with Nicholas.

Maybe have him participate in the conversation, or react to what Makoto just did. Or to the display of Flood's new power. He could also just observe. He could be thinking and making noted observations about the people or situations.
"That, is really cool." Makoto said. Meaning what she said, smiling at the intended pun. "Maybe you could teach me then? How to learn how to control powers?" Makoto asked the group, but it was more pointed at Flood. Weird or odd never seemed to bother her. She had thought herself to be an outsider long before her powers came to be and despite how bad she had wanted to be normal; to have a normal family. Makoto's meek smile dimmed and her eyes clouded over, her mind leaving the current social situation and being absorbed in reliving the pain of her father's death and then her mother's. They were gone, how they left her alone in the world tormented her more than anything. They were by no means a shock, quick, or like taking off a band aid. It made her angry at her family and at life but more than anything it made her feel deep emotional pain, sadness, and a crushing sense of abandonment. Long before her parents died they had abandoned her, being absorbed in their own situations. Her dad had stuck around though.

Wisps of Makoto's hair began to float and pull apart from her head. She had tried to pull her hair back in a braid in case this happened again. She had left her backpack, hat and coat in her new room after all.

Makoto revisited the social workers coming to her house and how terrified it made her, how angry it made her, how it made everything real. People sitting close by would be able to feel the static and dryness of the air now, despite the cooking areas. Then there was Storm, she came to help Makoto. She suddenly realized that she had yet to answer Phoebe's questions. Trying to push the memories from her mind she focused on the current situation. Both scared and surprised of how her powers seemed to be forming, she tried to ignore how they were acting right now. Trying to flatten her hair, she continued.

"Umm, to answer your questions Phoebe; yes Gale has to do with my powers." The word felt weird coming from her mouth and not staying in her thoughts. She still wasn't sure if they were a gift or a curse. "Storm is... we just met but she has encouraged me a lot. Her and some of her friends? Coworkers? Teammates? Anyway, they picked me up from my hometown. They saved me from a blue woman and brought me here." Makoto tried to move quickly through the story so not to dwell on it. She didn't even want to come close to the topic of her deceased family, what little of it there had been for so long.
Makoto smiled and waved at Nicholas as she was introduced. She was glad to hear that if she did need a job maybe she could TA in a year or so. Makoto imagined that she would need more experience to do so, which would obviously mean in the coming years as opposed to right away. Phoebe was very excited to greet Nicholas and it seemed safe by their interactions to assume that at the very least, they were attracted to each other. She was very aware that she was the third wheel, by her own mind's doing rather than her new companion's. Could she call Phoebe that already? She hoped so, if nothing else she hoped to be regarded as an acquaintance.

Someone new sat down beside Phoebe, he seemed to make her a bit uneasy. Her tone changed when she talked to him, but she was still polite and friendly. The boy that had just sat down and begun to talk to Phoebe quickly changed trains of thought in the conversation and introduced himself to Makoto. She thought that Flood was an odd name but he may not have wanted to give his real one. She was in no position to judge since she herself was going to be doing the same.

"My name is Gale." Makoto said, smiling sheepishly. She was still young and had yet to get accustomed to boys. She could barely forge a friendship with a girl when her mom was alive, much less with a boy. Makoto wondered why the boy chose Flood as his name, if in fact he had chosen the name for himself. By looking at him, he did seem to be about her age, plus or minus a year or two. She was never really good at guessing ages.
So I want to just let you guys know, some days may be harder for me to post. I'm currently in school (university) but I am planning my wedding as well. I will obviously do my best to post at least once a day and I will let you know before hand as I enter periods of maybe not being as active. Is that alright with you guys?
"That's good to know." Makoto said, looking forward to meeting people at lunch. It sounded like she would still have to be careful but most of the students were alright. High school was an adventure in an of itself, Makoto wondered what adding super skills to the mix would do. She followed Phoebe back to the cafeteria. The halls got busy but not necessarily crowded on their way over. By the time they got to the cafe, it was bustling. Makoto tried not to bump into anyone as they maneuvered around the people. If she could manage it, she didn't want to make any enemies here.

Upon entering the Cafeteria, Makoto realised how hungry she was. The people from the system had come just as she was getting breakfast ready, she never skipped breakfast if at all possible. This would be her first meal of the day.

"Hey, um, do we need money to eat in the cafe?" Makoto asked Phoebe, blushing slightly, embarrassed about her lack of knowledge and funds. The Academy was in a fairly remote place but there must be a bus system or something that she could use to go find a part time job if need be. With a campus this big, maybe they even had jobs on site if students needed it.
"That would be great." Makoto said with a thankful sigh. It definitely looked like everything will be alright now. The academy seemed safe and as far as she could tell, the student body may be nice too, if they were anything like Phoebe. She would be living in a comfortable room and be right on campus.

Makoto followed Phoebe back down to the main desk where the security guard had her fill out a few forms and verify them with the already online copy of her entry forms that Storm had completed. In no time Makoto had a key to her room and was looking forward to meeting some new people. Coming to the school was a big change, it would take adjusting to but right now, that wasn't an unwelcome notion.

"So what are all the other students like?" Makoto asked Phoebe, wanting to get a sense for her classmates' natures. It had occurred to her that she is likely the weakest of them all and she had no idea what skills they would have.
