I used to write in larger rp groups and post an average of once per day at the free-casual level. Lately because of life circumstances, I've been participating in more 1x1 with an average posting rate of once every 1-2 weeks at the casual level.

TBQH I think I plan on keeping this modern, but I thought it would be quite interesting if - instead of " self sorting " and saying what house you are in.. I could play the sorting hat, and do a one on one pm rp with each student, and essentially incorporate that into a large post, whereby, therein allowing students to slowly become introduced to houses. We could go into the subject of knowing from the profile, what your character's personality is like, have the hat converse with you, and then ultimately make a decision " together " - about the house. Or it can be done, quickly on skype, and then put a ( as mentioned before ) together a master post, where the hat sorts all the students, after which the sorted students can begin to mingle..
I like playing the headmaster a lot, so I would take up that post, and if anyone was considering a teacher, I would look them over myself. I am a " post privately " about your characters, type of person, so if any of this is of interest to you, I can create several threads. 1 for Character lists, with hidden tabs that only the DM - aka me, would be able to see. I would like to start this aforementioned RP on the first day of school ( obviously ) so, it would make it easier for everyone to jump onto the train and talk to one another etc.
How does this sound?
That sounds cool! We had all done the pottermore test and used that for our houses.
Also, I'm going away to Anime North this weekend so I dunno how connected i'll be to keep up with this thread.

I never had the opportunity to read them as a kid so I'm doing some catching up :) I will admit that I've been slow with it... I blame my book club :P we read approximately a book per month so it doesn't leave much room for other reading in my world.

The simulation was overwhelming, she felt hopeless as the elements and enemies seemed to get stronger. The only positive thing was that the wind began forcing the enemies back a bit and the looters into buildings instead of the streets.
"The civilians, what's your plan?" She continued, barely able to open her eyes and look straight at the boy in front of her.

Jeeze, I'm done growing and I'm stuck at 5 foot 3 inches :P

Makoto entered the room and waved a hello at Mimic. Following instructions, Makoto picked up a headset and went to stand by Kat. It was good to see her friend again. She placed the heavy technology on her head and waited to be transported.
Makoto ducked as soon as the scenery changed. The lower she was to the ground the better chance she had, no matter what environment she would be in. Dust settled around her as a chunk of a building had fallen off close to where she was. She saw the soldiers, their weapons and the civilians. Makoto tucked herself behind a close turned over car in a defensive position. Communication was going to be difficult with this task as she found that there were no intercom microphones. They would actually have to be in hearing range of one another to communicate. It seems as though she had spawned in close to the other newcomers, an unfamiliar team. There was not much around she could use and with her close range fighting style, the advantage was not hers. In an unrefined manner, Makoto reached out to see if she could sense any weapons that ran off of an electrical charge. If they did, maybe she could short circuit it.

Considering this she realised that she was likely more akin to a meta human but when it boiled down to it, did it really matter? "I'm sorry to hear that where you come from there is a difference. Where I am from there is just fear... now there is some fascination but it still takes time for people to accept us." Makoto's heart swelled with pride as Molden chose to expose her gifts.
"The receptionist should call us in shortly. Batman is never too far from the schoo-"
"Makoto? Modlen?" The receptionist asked.
"Yes?" Makoto answered.
"You can both go see Batman. He is in his office now. Make sure to knock."
"I guess that means we get to go see the principal." Makoto said, smiling at Modlen.
Makoto turned and walked down the hall to see Batman. Once she got to the office, she realised that Modlen hadn't followed her. She wondered where the girl had gone.
