lolIt's not like we are trying to get more mechanical soldiers at the moment lolalso no problem

I know I was just give my theory on the in verse reasoning for not making more mechanical soldiers. They don't seem to explain much in the anime, so I'm making some assumptions. There is one thing in the anime that confused the hell out of me. Why aren't the civil security service a mainly government organization instead of it basically consisting of private contractors? They might explain a bit later.

Well I know Kiri would know, she's the one hiring, but Flint wouldn't know. I mean, he would see a guy with a little girl, looks like a promoter initiator combo ya know? lolAnd Kiri never told him the names, or gave them photos.Am I given the thumbs up for it?That way Hillbilly12 can get some IC going.Well I don't know if there is a complete correlation with % of body replacement with varanium or not. I don't plan to super OP my promoter anyway. I believe my main point was that it should be fine for a promoter, especially a mechanical soldier at that, to be facing Gastrea head on.

It should be fine don't worry. I think the main thing about initiators replacing mechanical soldiers is that they are far less expensive. Training Initiators is likely significantly less expensive and than churning out mechanical soldiers. Add to that initiators effectiveness against Gastrea and mecahanical soldiers are basically the equivalent of using a tactical nuke against a building. While effective you have a bunch of cheaper bombs for that job. Of course to make the comparison make more sense these bombs also can be dialed up close to nuke level if necessary lol.

Also thanks for the post little Ninja.
Akane smiled when hugging Nanako just before she left. There was a moment of regret when Seikou asked if Akane didn't want to go with her. She just shook her head no before looking back at Nanako. Sometimes she liked the idea of just going to school with friends, but right now she wanted to atleast be there when they essentially said goodbye to the company.

"We're a team so I guess we can say goodbye as a team. Your going to be talking this time right?" she asked attempting to hide the fact that she was nervous about speaking to a group of people. Talking while more than 10 people are looking at her was as nerve wracking as fighting Gastrea.

"Oh yeah, let's go check out Nomura Civil Security Corporation after Nanako gets home."

Akane frowned knowing this was coming. A new place with new people felt like work for her. Not really nerve wracking just more work to get to know more people. Of course she rarely regretted it except for a few incidences. They left to the company and after hearing the President give his speech it was time for them. Seikou was quick as ever, but before they could leave she took his place and began to speak. "Also t-thank you for your help everyone. It was great!" a slightly noticeable red tint was beginning to show on Akane's face before she ran over to Seikou. Any other time she would have stayed silent but now it felt like the moment to speak a little. They were both leaving anyway.

"Well, I heard about the infamous Yuki making Ms. Ushio, drink insects. She's such a prankster. We had a lot of fun with PE today. Oh Akane-nee san, how was the ceremony today? Oh, can we go to see Matsuzaki?"

"Whoa that's so gross! The ceremony wasn't that exciting. No one was drinking bugs at least I didn't smell anything but coffee." Stories like this made her hate missing out on school when doing a job. Whenever Nanako talked to her about her day she laughed, smiled and just talk, but in reality she just couldn't shake away the feeling she didn't deserve it. Not after what she did.

Eventually they ended up at Nomura Security HQ. Akane was immediately on alert just by being here. There were plenty of guards around which was surprising in comparison to the other companies. "Wow do big companies usually have so many guards?" Akane asked while scanning the area. For now all she could do was sniff out the place to get their scent. Seikou always knew when she was like this. More like a nervous habit so she can familiarize herself with new surroundings. It was also something she did for her partner. Ever since she nearly killed those men while regretful it did make her suspicious of people more so than Gastrea. Akane still wants to be the protector even now.

Yeah, I know, not much of a spoiler, but still, when I do see it, it's just like, oh, that's gonna happen, and then DAMN ITTT in my head.I think we post too much. lolPast, what? 3 pages, have been almost completely us 2.

lol pretty much. Not much for me to post in IC yet since the introduction is really over yet. Posting as James might not be necessary yet since he isn't a Promoter. Akane is an initiator so she would only be there with Nomura and the others if Kazama took her.

I saw somewhere she's also part mechanical soldier =.=Also, that's more spoilers right there

Well you did ask. You probably didn't want me to explain too much, but yeah she isn't a mechanical soldier from what I can see.

Plus the weapons she used isn't really story spoilers. I'll just put a warning in the other post for anyone else who didn't watch it. If she really is a mechanical soldier then that is news to me. Don't worry the things I told you didn't really spoil the entire story of the last two episodes.

Well, this promoter (although hiding it) is a mechanical soldier, he can take on even Stage IV Gastrea, head on. So his fine with being up close, and he has a gunblade, in the cases of close combat, being able to swap it during mid range to a shotgun mode, and assemble his AUG for distance, while adjusting it if they come back into mid. xD

I'd assume even for mechanical soldiers its pointless to get in close when they have a initiator. Even mechanical soldiers don't really seem better than initiators lol. Well it depends really. The anime probably just haven't gotten to the uber super powered mechanical soldiers yet lol.

That could work, shot-gun style gun blade to the face? and if not enough, slice it up some more? Or if it is further away, customize the AUG and snipe.

Yep that could work pretty well and it would make them really dangerous when they are together. Ideally the promoter shouldn't have to be forced into close combat with a Gastrea. They would want to be prepared and a good area with their weapon and shoot the crap out of the monster. Plus with Akane's ability she should be able to sniff out Gastrea without much trouble.

A blood hound, if we are discussing abilities. Would be known primarily for their amazing tracking ability. So weapons in general, though appearent wouldn't be the best of their skills. They were designed to track and pin if i remember correctly. So a weapon that possibly reflects this could be a net with spikes in it that encloses when you pull on a string. Gladiators use to use such a tactic then finish the target off with a strike from a spear. hahaAs for posting, yah, gargoyle was busy with school stuff so hopefully they post today =D

I was thinking she would be a tracker who instead of using weapons just uses her own power and aggressions to pursue and push the enemy into a killzone for the promoter.
