Ugh I dislike typing when my right hand is swollen from probably a dozen mosquito bites. I guess trying to actually go outside and play paintball in the Forest isn't going to come back to bite you in the butt later lol. It should be good now for me to type.
"So we really really have to do dinner later?" Akane pouted knowing the answer already but she did want to take a little break from meeting new people. Of course these two didn't seem that bad. It was hard for her not to smile whenever Yuki made an entrance. No matter the answer she'd make sure there transition was as easy as possible.
"I assure you if this was a normal case we wouldn't have asked you to waste your time here." James said as he approached the group. He reached out his hand to Takeshi and then to the other two after he shook his. "I'm Detective Banks and I assume you three are the fine people Ms. Nomura sent to help me with a possible Gastrea problem?" he simply waited until they gave him some ID for confirmation, but he already suspected it was them. Not too many people who looked as colorful as they did with a little girl no less at a crime scene.

When the monster was defeated Akane had to calm herself down for the moment. She took three deep breaths while reassuring herself that the danger was over. On her last breath she could feel a hand touch her head. Seikou came over as usual and congratulated her. The warm feeling that of accomplishment was enough to cause a smile to appear on her face.
"hehehe no problem." she giggled as Seikou patted her on the head. Hitoshi was still around and intact. When Akane spotted him she waved him over. "You did a good job!" she shouted over to him. Even someone who is typically quiet like her can still get excited over a victory. However this wasn't over and they needed to go back to make sure they were hired. This was a non issue for Akane since she just assumed they proved themselves already.
"Alright so can we go now?"
"hehehe no problem." she giggled as Seikou patted her on the head. Hitoshi was still around and intact. When Akane spotted him she waved him over. "You did a good job!" she shouted over to him. Even someone who is typically quiet like her can still get excited over a victory. However this wasn't over and they needed to go back to make sure they were hired. This was a non issue for Akane since she just assumed they proved themselves already.
"Alright so can we go now?"
okay okay I can actually post now. I should be good for the rest of the month. I have a job but only on double hitters (working at a baseball game) I shouldn't be too busy.
Sorry for my absence guys but I got a new job and I work most of the day and by the time I get home I usually fall in bed. I'm getting used to it so I might be able to continue this week, but if you can't wait anymore than I'm fine with that. Sorry for holding stuff up.
The Gastrea let out a loud shriek after the gunshots rang out. Like a wounded animal it cried out and rammed itself into anything near it forcing anyone close back. Acid was sprayed everywhere melting the crates and Akane leap around evading the deadly substance. The acid landed a little too close several times making the next strike crucial.
"It's probably half-dead. Ready to finish this?" Just as Hitoshi said the words Akane smiled showing her teeth as if she was ready to rip the target apart. This was the moment when both her and Seikou were ready to end a fight. For her she just needed to start off with the opening strike. The creature was grounded leaking fluids from its belly but still somewhat mobile so she needed to be quick. Akane jumped back into the fray keeping mobile dashing in a zig zag avoiding any acid being shot her way.
For a moment a steady stream was being fired at her. She immediately shifted directions and headed towards the wall she kicked it into and jumped towards it. Akane positioned herself so her feet would impact it and in less than a second she kicked off it with enough force to leave an impression. She launched herself towards the Gastrea hands clenched. The creature could barely figure out what to do as her fist impacted into the Gastrea sending it flying through dozens of crates. Pieces of its exoskeleton and flesh were destroyed on impact. Now it was weak and was often for the other two the finish it off.

I'm playing Don't Starve which is very harsh. Its a very harsh game. Also I'm getting stressed out by steam sales and starting to put some extra stuff on my resume. Just a little busy lol.
Akane nodded and jumped a dozen meters into the air and grabbed the railing for the walk way above. She flipped over and landed softly making as little noise as she could. Her stance currently was almost crouched as if stalking an animal. To her there was something akin to a trail in front of her. Seikou and Hitoshi were there covering their zones which gave her some confidence especially seeing them both move liked the professionals they were. With a small grin on her face Akane kept going forward getting closer to the target.
From her vantage point the entire room was big with plenty of areas there target could be hiding. As she went ahead the other two seemed to be closing in. Although faint she could hear their footsteps while hers tapped against the metal. She kept low and dashed ahead smelling something rather strong. Not necessarily a Gastrea. Akane was now at a perfect position that somewhat covered Hitoshi. He was close and it didn't seem like the target moved, but it was no where on the ground floor. Looking around her nothing particularly monstrous was in view, but the smell was still there.
"Where is..." she stopped as a large green mucus like substance dropped on the crates near Hitoshi. There wasn't a large splash, but on impact the crates melted. Akane looked straight at the ceiling where it came from. There were no lights in that area giving it an almost perfect place to hide. Its body was completely black, long and worm like, but with dozens of little legs. Its mouth dripped with the acid and seemed to have been preparing for an ambushed. The second it detached itself from the ceiling Akane immediately reacted.
"Target spotted!" she yelled jumping from her walkway and kicking the creature as it fell down. The Gastrea impacted into the wall near Hitoshi nearly going completely through, but it was still intact. Akane landed on top of some crates near hitoshi. "Crap it must've just transformed!"
