((double post on accident))
[Irene]

On her way to the health room, Irene encountered two wandering zombies. Breathing a sigh, she quickly dispatched both of them with a series of dodges and thrusts with her spear.
I swear, these things are as common as stinkbugs.
As she approached closer and closer to the health room however, there seemed to be a higher density of zombies. Spearing the closest one, she unintentionally attracted the attention of a good part of the horde. Retreating and attacking at the same time, Irene noticed a zombie leaping for her from behind. She whirled her shield around and smashed it against the zombie's face. The zombie got thrown back a bit, but Irene knew that she was still in danger of getting surrounded. Irene speared the zombie on the ground before it had a chance to get back up, flicked the blood off her spear, and turned her attention towards the advancing horde.
This is going to be difficult...

After resting for 15 minutes and ignoring the freshmen's questions, Irene finally gets up and makes her way to the gym storage.
Why did I not take armor earlier??
After surveying the items, she picks out hockey shin guards, lacrosse arm guards, a lacrosse helmet, and a baseball chest plate. Irene puts on all the equipment and straps the chestplate on her left armguard for a makeshift shield.
I'll need some duct tape to secure this fully...
Ready to head out, she walks over to the gym doors. Before heading out, she turns towards the class and says. "Just keep this up and you guys should be safe. Thanks for all the gear though."
Irene waves farewell and exits the doors, intending to find Matt.

As she was making her way to the gym, Irene stops to see quite a few zombies, five to six wandering the hallway alone.
This is....going to take a while.....best to deal with them one by one.
Inching forward slowly, she caught the attention of one zombie, who began pathetically scrabbling towards her. Irene switched over to the spear and used it to pierce through the zombie's eye. The zombie fell still and Irene kicked the corpse off the weapon, disgusted by the blood. Noticing a zombie to her left and right, she slung the spear onto her back and wielded the aluminum bat with both hands. The zombie to her right lunged towards her, arms outstretched. Irene promptly dodged backward and swung the bat in a wide arc to connect it with the zombie's head. Then she retreated backwards to her right, stepping over the corpse, and watched the approaching zombie carefully. The zombie made a sudden movement and Irene instinctually dodged to her left. Irene swung the bat again and the zombie crumpled to the ground, still moving somewhat.
My left side swing is weaker than my right side...
Irene dealt another blow to the zombie's head and it stopped moving.

Looking at the hallway again, four zombies still remained--although some were located much more far back than the others. Irene took a quick breather and switched to the longer ranged spear. Walking forward somewhat nervously, she accidentally attracted the attention of two zombies and not one. She thrusted the spear at the closest zombie's eye and killed it. But the second zombie was approaching fast--Irene took the spear out of the body and hit the second zombie with the other end of the spear. While the zombie was disoriented, Irene pointed the sharp end towards the zombie and propelled it into the zombie's face. Removing the bladed end, Irene used the spear for support-- she was slowly but surely getting exhausted.

Quietly sneaking towards the first set of gym doors, Irene knocked and hoped that someone would open the door soon. But, the sound had alerted another zombie to her presence.
Fudge.
Irene charged at the zombie with her spear and it punctured the zombie through one eye. The zombie collapsed, twitching, onto the ground. Raising her spear, she plunged it downward on the zombie.

Noticing a person poke his head out of the door, Irene quickly rushed over, offered a thanks to the person, and walked inside--and promptly collapsed onto the floor, breathing heavily with exhaustion.

"Hmm...pity I can't do that--since I have no hoodie or jacket. I prefer speed and mobility over defense anyways. I'm going to head over to the gym again to grab a helmet and see if any sporting equipment can be used as a shield."
Now that I have two weapons.. I might want to put a strap on the bat. Since I can only wield weapons with two hands if I want to kill with it.
Irene takes some more duct tape and adds a strap to the baseball bat. Irene picks up her newly modified bat and puts the lanyard full of keys around her neck. Checking to see if her spear is securely in place, Irene walks over to the set of doors leading to the ninth grade/art hall, opens it, and leaves.

Irene shakes her head in response to Kate's question.
"When the power's out, there's no running water."
Addressing everyone again, "Someone should assemble a team to secure materials for blocking off breaches, another team should scout for additional breaches, and the third team should go find other students who are fighting too."
[Irene]

Listening to Matt's whisper, Irene flashes a smile and says softly back, "Why would I give up food to others? But if anyone has half a brain, they'd know that the cafeteria has food."
Although..if any of my friends asked for some, I'd feed them anyhow.
She turns to face everyone else.
"We suspect there may be a breach in MST down and we'll need to patch it up or something. We have to stem the flow of zombies if we want to secure the school. Also, anyone who is hungry, the cafeteria staff have already left and we don't have the key to open the doors leading to the food. If you need food, just go buy from the vending machines. Same thing with water."

Without waiting for an answer, Irene grabs Matt's arm and drags him outside of the front office when the coast was clear. She then turns around and locks the front office door. After that, Irene continues to drag Matt over to the media center doors and waits for someone to open it. A student notices them and hurries over to open the door. Irene then proceeds to drag Matt inside.

Irene takes another two meter sticks, one of which was metal, and puts them together. She then puts two long knives on each side and begins spiraling duct tape around it, leaving an ample length of extra tape on each side. Taking the leftover tape on the ends, Irene started twisting it, forming some sort of band. She then attached both ends together and duct taped where the two ends met for extra safety. Hearing Matt's voice, she looked up to see his weapon.
"Looks like we had the same idea. Although yours is bulkier than mine."
Slinging her new weapon on her back and grabbing a pair of scissors, Irene picks up the rest of the supplies from earlier and stands up.
"Shall we go back to the media center now?"
[Irene]

"Hi Mrs. Allen and Ms. Lloyd! Sorry to scare you all like that but we need some duct tape."
Navigating the supply closet easily, Irene secured several rolls of duct tape and looped them through her arm.
"Hey Matt, do you think we should take some scissors as well? Or the meter sticks?"
