No,no,no, I do enjoy her! I just worry...Bad habit of mine.
He looked back at her, incredulous. Hadn't he told her already that he was on business? He looked back down, trying not to glimpse at her reflection.

"Can't say. Client confidentiality." He stated bluntly. He didn't need to divulge anything to her. She wasn't his boss, he was his own master.

Turning his head and leaning past the woman he scanned for any newcomers.

As if on cue someone entered, looking like the physical embodiment of the place. His hair was a mass of spikes clumped together by color and splaying from every angle shrouding half his face in vibrant blues and purples. His clothes were patched together with incosistent thickness and texture, swathed in straps of varying widths. His waist was similarly covered with belts and chains, jangling as far down as his thighs. His pant legs were of different lengths, his shoes and socks of completely different pairs. He looked as though he had crashed into a fashion store and attacked by random patrons on his way here. Was he just another regular or was he the one in the rendezvous with his client's husband? He still had ten or fifteen minutes so he turned back to stare at his own reflection some her. Definitely not the reflection of the woman who neighbored him. Definitely...
Not sure if my character fits in well or not. I hope it does. I love how this is unfolding!
Wolfing down her meal with ravenous zeal, she swiftly decimated her meal. She was restless now , not content to be in the company of others any longer. She'd had enough of that with her 'breakfast.' Getting up she nodded towards her waitress in silent thanks before reequipping her weapon of choice. She refused to take the front door this time, preferably choosing to exit through the bathroom window. The night was quiet except for the sound of snores and late night melees. But she could not relax, not an inch until she was back in her...home? She guessed she could call it that. Home... For a moment she didn't feel like tough, calculating Sentinel but prone, vunerable Anna Reyes. She hated that.

That's not my life any longer, it's better to forget...

For a moment she frowned before slinking into the shadows, calculating her next destination.

She opened her HUD looking through her notes. Yeah, she took notes so she could refresh her mind on locations and strategies, especially useful now that there was no independent strategy guide. At least, not one she was willing to pay for. Filing through her notes she came across the info she was seeking. She'd gotten info of one of het targets about a certain 'hidden' cave not far of from her residence that had huge farming potential, the huge part being that the inhabitants were giant cave rats. According to the directions it should be northwest of her right now. Closing the HUD quickly, she crawled from the cramped drainage pipe, pushing the rusted gate back into place behind her. She was noticed only briefly by a group of NPCs and a wandering knight that was way too far off to catch up, but other than that her travel was uneventful.

Arriving at near the supposed place, she decided to climb the tree for reconnaissance. She didn't want to be embroiled in anything she couldn't handle. She wanted to observe how armed they were and how they fared against the initial enemies. Then she'd make the call on if she would test the dungeon or not. Or just make targets out of any that approached. She prepared herself, positioning so that the branches would cloak most of her body while leaving room to aim her rifle. And so she waited.
Finally got my first post, sorry for the lateness. I won't be able to post often because of internet complications and school. Thank you.
"Good morning!" A female voice chirped, only to be muted by a dishevled woman.
"Shut it." Sentinel growled, pulling at her aching limbs. Sleeping in that hidden alcove was rough on her back, but at least it was safe.

Stupid AI, can't even tell the difference between day and night.

It wouldn't even be telling her it was morning if she had bothered to change the alarm settings but it didn't matter all to much. The lack of light easily gave away the evidence of night. The alcove gave her just enough room to stand without being seen and plenty of porous stone to scope potential targets through. Inwardly she chuckled, wondering if anybody else had thought of this idea.It was smart and profitable to stay hidden in a hard to reach place with fortification and not common knowing of. Hiding in a low-level dungeon in a high up alcove was probably the brightest idea she'd had since investing time to cooking skills so she wouldn't have to go into town so much. Sleeping in a taken house was just asking for trouble, on the ground one was vunerable to random PVPs and being in the trees any later than nine in the morning meant free target practice for anybody who wanted a shot. There was a small pooling of water in the deepest part of the alcove, tinged with a metallic taste but otherwise clean. She stretched within the confines of the alcove, peeping through one of the bigger holes to see if any late comers had shown up to farm the weaker enemies. She wouldn't make them targets, they were definitely to well armed for her regular rounds. She'd get them later if they still remained, when they were more tired and defenseless. She opened the HUD , sifting through her inventory. She'd collected 5,000 pieces of gold so far from her targets and some intermittent farming.

Not bad, maybe I'll be able to by some incindiary rounds soon...

Placing her rifle on her back, she looked out, noticing that the party had already past into the deeper parts of the dungeon, she jumped the few feet to the ground, landing softly on the dirt floor. She left as quickly as she could, making sure noone saw her or could initiate a PVP. It wasn't as easy for her to sneak around, as say, a rogue class player, but she did it well enough. Her trip was quiet, illuminated by the bright stars overhead that glimmered in the streams she passed through. Shaking out her hair she approached the town from the back, scaling on of the ladders to access the rooftops. Hopping across rooftops wasn't all that difficult, as the buildings were evenly spaced with only small walkways inbetween. The few people that walked the streets were tired, beligerent with drunkeness, or both. She snorted softly. Why would one drink in such a dangerous place as this? She'd rather have her wits about her than be prone because of personal troubles. Hopping down from a nearby awning, she walked into the bar.

If it wasn't for this place, I'd have no reason to leave the wilderness. I am certainly...thankful for the respite it gives.

Looking around, there was the usual crowd, a few newbies scattered here and there. The noise assulted her ears, the sheer volume almost as deafening as when she shot her rifle without proper ear protection.

"Oh man, you should have seen us last night! Eight hordes in a row and barely a hit point scratched!" A heavily armored knight shouted, raising his drink and gripping his companion, a mage, tightly. The mage seemed to growl something under his breath, staring darkly at the knight.

"I can't belive he's gone..." Sobbed a scantily clad warrior girl, her head in her hands. Her comrades tried to comfort her to no avail.

Straightening her tatical gear before sitting down, she placed her beloved rifle back into her inventory, quietly sighing.

A woman walked up to her, smiling cheerily and handing over a menu.

" Hello miss! What would you like to order today?"

Scanning the menu, placed it down after only seconds of reading.

"Tea. Also the chicken, with as side of bread." She said bluntly, forking over the menu as well as 500 pieces of gold. She sighed again, silently. She really wanted to have at least some variety today. She could pick up her usual routine of lizard and snake tomorrow.
I apologize but I will not be able to post till at least midnight, tomorrow at the latest.
You can pm me, i'm interested.
"...What? No, I'm here on business." He said casually, stifiling any expression that could belie his inner thoughts.

She had approached him, maybe out of interest, maybe because he looked too normal for this place. He did look too normal compared to even the plainest people here. And the first option, well that wasn't entirely unlikely it probably wasn't good on her part. He wasn't any good with women. He'd gone out with a few sure, but he always left them feeling inadequate. He'd never had sex, not even thought about it since his early teens. It just never felt right to him. Something was always lacking and he couldn't tell wether or not it came from him or somewhere else. He shoved himself hader into his work to make up for it, hoping that someday it would feel right and he wouldn't feel like such a limp noodle.

Looking up from the glossy counter he ordered a black coffee from the menu, giving a polite smile to the cashier. The cashier gave him a mildly odd look at him before turning and going into the back to prepare it. He prefered not to be distracted by sugars and creams while on a case. He needed his mind to be sharp in this situation. Well, as sharp as it could be with the exotic gypsy beside him.

Looking past her towards the door he smiled. "What's your business here? Just casual, or something more?" He looked back at the counter, content to stare at its swirls for an eternity, waiting for a response.
