Slice-of-Life Anime High School!

So, to commence, I've done something similar (if not exactly the same) to this in the past and it was pretty fun. Unfortunately I was very unorganized and the rp eventually died out... >_>

Anyway, I wanna give it another go so anyone interested? I'm fighting the urge to copy/paste anything from the old rp (ideas and explanations both).

What do you think of a slice-of-life, anime-style, high school rp? Like, a normal high school. No magical powers or mechs of any sort. I wouldn't mind something like roleplaying as delinquents or teachers. Pretty much goofing around during your high school life as an anime character. There could be events going on outside of school too so it's not so restricted, maybe like festivals or amusement parks? Maybe your characters could spark some romance, or just the opposite? So yeah, give me some feedback. I'm always open to opinions and recommendations!

ANDDD, I'm guilty as charged. Copied and pasted from what I wrote back in my old interest check. It catches the gist of it so I guess it isn't problematic. Sorry I have so many unnecessary things written here... This is why I'm not very organized. xD

Pokemon Colosseum: The Light Extinguished

Whoa! You started this up again! I dunno if you remember me but I was in the Pokemon Colosseum rp you did like a year ago. :P

The New Breed

Name: Yamada Noriko, "Nori" for short

Age: 17

Hometown: Tokyo

Side: Rebels

Power: Animal manipulation/communication

Weapons: None really, maybe a fishing rod somehow?

Bio: Nori grew up with her father and older sister in Tokyo. Her father was a biologic researcher of some sort, but that was as specific as it got for her because her interests lied elsewhere. A little later, her father died of natural causes. Nori's sister aspired to be like her father and achieve groundbreaking achievements in altering human genetics to develop the "perfect" human being. She would go to great extents for her dreams.

That being said, eventually Nori's sister became so consumed with her crazy goals that she kidnapped her own little sister to conduct traumatizing experiments on. Nori was physically altered to somehow gain the ability to communicate with animals. She managed to escape the facility with her new ability and go into hiding. The police didn't want to believe a word she said and she held the fear that revealing her power would only return her to the underground lab. That, and she's a lazy coward who enjoys exploiting her power in fishing competitions.

Nevertheless, Nori wants to expose what's going on in the lab.


Name: Yamada Natsumi

Age: 20

Hometown: Tokyo

Side: Scientist (New Breed)

Weapons: None as of yet.

Bio: Natsumi was always extremely intelligent. Because of connections through her father, she began working in the labs straight out of high school (which works to explain how she's such a young scientist). Personality-wise, she externally appears kind and approachable. Nobody would assume immediately how her true personality was, which could generally be described as quite deranged (having experimented on her own sister). For now, she works to hunt down her little sister and any other rebel as well as to continue empowering the New Breed.

I'm also interested in being a scientist if that's okay.

"Oh, no worries. If anyone, I was the one to cause you trouble," Levana waved her hand in front of her face. "Still, I find it strange that your family would hide this from you. Maybe they might've been afraid you'd say no? Well, no, actually I told my parents no yet it made no difference." She crossed her arms and laughed sarcastically. "Hmm, I'm not even sure where they are right now. I just wanna hurry and get this whole thing over with." A thought ran across her mind, there is no getting this over with. Marrying someone follows you pretty far. Levana sighed and shook her head. "So much for that."

"Uh huh, that's basically it. I'll, er, give you a second to sink it in," she smiled apologetically after realizing it made him panic. He looks like he just saw a ghost or something... The thought made Levana muffle a giggle after remembering the earlier occurrence. She put on a serious face afterwards and glanced at Sonja who seemed to be lost in his thoughts somewhere. "Are you okay?" Levana asked worriedly and tapped his shoulder.

Levana observed Sonja's altering facial expressions between each of his replies. She let out a sigh, and found an area to trail her eyes off to, making sure no one was in the way to think she was staring at them. "Well, if anything, I'd think you were here for the same reason as me. I was thinking that was why everyone was here in the first place." Levana looked back toward Sonja, remembering how her mother taught her it was rude to look away while speaking to someone. "Hmm," she crossed her arms, "If you're here for the same reason, then it must suck that your family didn't inform you ahead of time." She realized the way she was talking must've seemed confusing. "Uh, sorry for beating around the bush, but I was told that this event was for engaged couples who've had their marriages arranged to meet. My parents still haven't introduced me to my fiance. They sorta just left me alone to mingle while they drank wine somewhere around the ballroom. I'm pretty sure the reason you're here is the same." Levana wondered if this would've surprised Sonja, and waited to see his reaction.

That sounds good. Usually waiting too long kills the rp, and I don't want that to happen.
