Blaze smiled as Evangeline touched the dancing figure. He was glad that she enjoyed it,instead of fearing it. Before he realized it, he had a wholehearted smile. He finally had a person he could speak to, without having to hide anything about himself. He sighed of relief and enjoyed her speech about his flames. Her speech was so elegant, fitting a Deity like herself. Her words touched him, like he never knew a thing about his flames and had to learn about them from the very beginning. However, he sensed her sense of discomfort on his next question. Her answer, followed by a slight shrug made Blaze wonder if he made a mistake asking such a question. However with her next question, it was Blaze's turn to lose his smile.
"Please do not think of me as misfortuned, I know I may pity myself. But life is a thrill is it not? What about you?"
Blaze approached the edge of the platform as well. He looked at the green, blue and brown colours of nature, sea and mountains respectively. Uneasiness filled his expression.
"Somewhere down there, there is a dragon...", he closed his eyes and sighed, this time not from relief, but from sadness.
"...That I have to kill." he continued. "A dark dragon, halbringer of destruction. Some time ago, before I was born, a Dragon named Urumel betrayed his kin, slaughtering dragons, his reason unknown. He is considered the strongest of all dragons and he is pure evil. Everywhere he lands, becomes a sight of black flames. Nothing more. Now, it is my task to kill one of my own, even if he is evil." he said, his voice slightly shaking.
He looked at her once again, her face somewhat calming him down.
"Life might be a thrill, but sometimes an unpleasant one...But everyone carries his own cross, so I am not complaining", he concluded with a discreet smile.
