"I suppose this is part of my initiation, eh?" Hitoshi commented, walking over to the Promoter Initiator pair, Seikou and Akane, who were already getting ready to storm the warehouse. "I know, I know, I have been silent all this time, and I probably just look like a bodyguard to you. Good news, though, I'm a newbie in this corporation, just like you guys!" Hitoshi shook his head, laughing.

Hitoshi nodded slightly. "Masanori Hitoshi here. I may look like I'm getting on the years with age but I'll hold my own just fine. I won't ask you to rely on me nor do I expect the need to, seeing that you're probably just as experienced as I am at killing Gastrea, but I'll watch your back." Hitoshi smiled broadly.

"One more thing before you ask: I don't have an Initiator, so I won't be risking my life unnecessarily. As for why, that's a story best left for another day. For now, what say we get down to business? This job looks like a tough nut to crack, after all." Hitoshi finished by drawing his Varanium sword and shield, and got ready for the mission.
^ not gonna happen. Probably.
Hitoshi will be following Flint around until something important happens. Until then, he will just stick around and observe the newbies.
Yep, shit just got real. Enrico is in for some good ol' fun.
"Very well, Ms. Kiri, if that's correct," Hitoshi bowed. "I will not disappoint, if my years of experience mean anything. I'll just need my weapons back, and I'll be on my way." Retrieving his Varanium sword and shield, Hitoshi followed Flint down to the lobby. He saw Flint sit down on a sofa grumpily, and Hitoshi said, "Don't worry, I can hold my own in a fight, believe me. At the very least, I am not foolish enough to take on situations where I will be killed easily. I do value my life, you know." He leaned on the wall beside Flint, observing the younger man with interest. Hitoshi tugged on the tail he had pasted on himself, but as expected, it was glued to his pants. 'Ah well, at least it doesn't look bad,' Hitoshi thought.

"Say," Hitoshi spoke up after a bit of silence. "What is Yuki to you? A companion in combat? A weapon or shield? Of what importance is she to you?" he asked Flint.
It seemed that most, if not all, of the people present in that room labelled him as mentally unstable or any synonym thereof. Hitoshi did not blame them; an unstable colleague in this line of business would prove disadvantageous in a tight situation when facing a Gastraea. Hitoshi assured, "I may have suffered from my loss, but that does not make me in any way a weaker man. If I had my armaments with me right now, I would gladly have a melee with you, Mr. Bodyguard." Hitoshi gestured to Marius. He had confidence in his years of battle experience that he would not lose. Swordfighting wasn't something he just picked up, after all. "But I would prefer if such violent acts be restricted onto the battlefield, don't you think?"

Hitoshi noticed the cat ears and tail, and assumed that the Initiator wanted to put them on herself. "Well, alright. Things have gotten a little tense here, so let's lighten the mood, shall we?" Saying that, he plucked the ears out of the Initiator's hand and pasted it firmly on her head. He took the tail for himself and stuck it on his pants. "I appreciate it, girl," Hitoshi said with a smile.

@Grey, you've got it right but the rest will be a surprise.@In, eh? You got a thing for her?

I meant the Nesterov plot girl. No idea how she links into the plot though.
Finally the Honorary StuCo President gets to show herself... soon.
Post is up! Still have quite a bit to cover, but I'll leave that for a later post.
The Promoter was the first to respond, raising his Desert Eagle and pointing it at Hitoshi. Hitoshi took note of the act, but ignored the threat. He doubted the lady would allow blood to be spilled so easily in a building that she owned, no less. It wouldn't reflect well on her competence.

"You have become quite rude Masanori-san," the Initiator spoke. "Guess you don't remember me at all. Do you? I wonder what Midori would think, if she saw you wondering around into different buildings at random."

Hitoshi's eyes widened for a split second, then he regained his impassive face. This girl is Midori's friend? I wouldn't know that, after all. I haven't been what people would call a good father. I never did realise I knew so little about her before her passing.

"Why did you come in here anyway?" she continued.

Before Hitoshi could reply, the leader of the company spoke up. Hitoshi listened intently, trying to discern any hints of her personality from her words. It seemed that she cared little for his life, and that she was a pretty capable combatant or just simply a bad liar. Hitoshi struck out the latter possibility, however, judging from her stance and her lack of openings. This woman wouldn't let outside forces influence her decisions, and that was what Hitoshi was looking for: someone who would resist the 'Promoters must be paired with Initiators' dogma.

Just then, a man, presumably another bodyguard, walked in, and Hitoshi felt a chill. This man was very visibly dangerous, but the lady simply brushed him off like he was a simple bother. Maybe she just didn't like the extent of protection she was receiving.

After a few moments of thinking, Hitoshi concluded that this was a good chance as ever. This was his chance to get back into the Promoter business, if and only if his terms were accepted. But first-

Hitoshi broke out into a smile. "I apologize for my unwelcome behavior, Miss. That was just a test of sorts. It's a bad habit. More importantly, this is what I came to ask: do you hire Promoters who prefer to work without the assistance of an Initiator?"

He then turned to Kiri and said, "I'll need to speak with you too, after this."
