Eve tried to tighten her grip on Nero's arm, however, the weight of his body was too much for her and soon he fell onto the ground, face first. The horrible crunching sound of his glasses made her cringe in pain, she could already see the blood on the ground and the effects that would happen to her friend. She stepped forward towards Nero, reaching her hand out to him before he suddenly started to thrash against nothing when he was getting up. Her hand quickly backed away, trying not to get hit by Nero and her eyes started to widen. The Necromancer breathing also started to heighten as questions filled her mind, what was happening to Nero? Why is he acting like this? Why did this even happen? And as she was thinking, on the verge of panicking once again, she was too late to react against anything.
Time slowed down around the girl, the world around her had soon reached into a slow crawl as Eve just watched the slow moving picture frames. She saw Gabriel tackling Nero in mid-air, she saw the statue standing still, and she saw Ayame holding herself while looking away from the entire spectacle. Eve looked at all of them, all of their features, their actions, and especially their emotions. It was bad emotions, and it was strong. The world around her soon turned pitch black, she was soon standing in nothingness and this wasn't the first time she was inside this situation. The Necromancer breathed deeply, she knew what was coming after her and she knew how to defend against such a corrupting force. If only her younger version knew what type of terrors she would bring when opening that book. Then, it hit her.
Eve gasped in shock, it was trying to barrage her mind once again with subliminal messages and trying to get her to free it once again, but she was prepared for it this time. The simple tricks that it once used would not affect her any longer, she knew everything it stood for and everything it wants, she won't let it out this time. The Necromancer only needed to wait this out, it couldn't be too long before the people around her stop feeding the creature this amount of sadness and anger, and it knew this. So, it would have to play soul crushingly smart.
While holding her will against the terrible feeling of sorrow once again, a screen soon appeared right in front of her. She cocked her head slightly, what trick was this? And soon, memories of her past started to flash before her eyes. It was her life before she had become a terrible monster to the people of the world. The good memories. They started to come slow, but her good memories kept on coming one after the other. She soon remembered the times her parents took care of her, the festivals they went to, the friends she had, and even the time of her last birthday party before the incident. Eve smiled, tears forming around her eyes at what used to be, but it didn't last long. The horrible memories within her mind started to pop up, the rotting faces of her friends, the destroyed village she had grew up with, the forest of her youth barren with corpses strewn across the land, and the dead bodies of her parents. Eve stepped back, the darkness slightly enveloping her as the horrible memories kept on coming. She had let her guard down, and now she was paying for it.
The Necromancer kept on moving backwards, one step at a time as the bad memories were soon fading away the further she moved. She was falling for the trap. Hook, line, and sinker. Eve continued to step back into the abyss, her mind ready to be used once again by the creature, but it made a mistake. It quickly flashed the memory of her undead dog, back from when she first arrived in Dragon Fang and the flow of memories suddenly stopped. Eve had stopped moving as well. She stared at Fluffy before raising her hand, she remembered something, and she put her palm sideways and flicked her wrist. The flow soon started once again, but on a much brighter note. This time, the first thing she saw were the people trying to help her, soon it switched to Time Lord saving her, and then it stopped at Nero. Eve paused once again, it was paused on the sight of Nero's bloody face and missing pupil from several minutes ago. It was the work of the creature, she knew that, but the picture truly frightened her and it was trying to scare her back into submission. However, they were friends, he was her closest friend and her feeling for him didn't change from one bad mistake. Eve stepped forwards, stepping away from the corrupting force and the darkness around her started to fade away, light entering the place and once Eve was at her original position, she flicked her wrist once again.
The resulting effect soon made the surrounding darkness quickly be obliterated as light quickly filled every crack and crevice of her mind. The memories of Nero filling her mind and soon it switched to every type of good memory of her present life. Eve looked at the memories before a growing smile etching her face, and soon it was on the happiest smile she could ever muster as the bright light soon enveloped her completely.
The Necromancer soon found herself at the park again, she blinked a couple of times before her head turned towards her friends. Nero's pocket would stop lightly glowing in darkness, and it would stay that way until it is fed a large amount of bad emotions once again. So, with a breath of fresh air, she walked over towards the two with a happy smile on her face. Eve's apparent happy attitude was quite strange for the situation everyone was going through, but the slightly traumatic experience helped her learn some neat things. First, was to get out the area where she just had a traumatic experience and bring her friends along. So, arriving at the two, she noticed that Ayame was having some sort of breakdown and soon looked at Nero. Without the curse of sorrow ruining her mind, she once again couldn't feel sad and beckoned him to leave this place, now. They could bring Ayame somewhere private instead of the park where dozens of people were watching the group of magicians all have their own little breakdowns.
