After quite the day previous, the Doctor hadn't slept a wink, then again not common for a Time Lord to get much sleep anyway. He knew he'd need a refresher before he actually took on the aftermath of the Time Paradox so he had to make the mental note to get in some sleep within the next few days. Having been sitting up, stirring in his thoughts, his emotions, for the first time in awhile he actually felt humanized. He'd been sitting upon the windowsill staring down at the school grounds below from his room, still in his jimjams he was sipping a cuppa tea one of the house elves had brought for him. He didn't like the fact that the elves technically were slaves but he remembered reading in the books of Hermione starting to leave articles of clothing and freeing them. So in a sense the Doctor came to conclusion that the house elves enjoyed their stay at Hogwarts, then again why wouldn't they? It was truly a magnificent place to be.
Three cups of tea and nearly five raspberry scones later, the Time Lord was showered, had eaten breakfast in his room, not really up to socializing for the early part of the morning or any of the morning for that matter. He didn't want to run into Umbridge or Dumbledore, or any faculty member at the current moment, no. His mind was far too focused, more so straining with the possibilities of what the paradox had caused. Whoever or whatever had visited this world due to two Doctors in the same place at once, the Doctor knew he would soon find out. With a heavy sigh, the Time Lord reached up and rubbed along the back of his neck, even now his body was beginning to tense up at the thoughts. 'I hope he's opened that watch…'. But the entire morning he hadn't felt anything at all. He watched the sun rise, drank a few more cups of tea and just simmered in his thoughts as the morning hours just passed him by.
It was lunch time, should he just go to his classroom, he wasn't particularly hungry, even if he was, did he have the stomach to eat? The Doctor wasn't even sure. Sure he had tea and scones earlier that morning, but that was before his mind was fully focused on the impending doom that was to take place, if only he knew what the consequence of the time paradox was so he could prepare for it.. only time would really tell him what would happen. After dressing in his blue pinstriped suit, since most of the students were already gone, and there were no classes, there was no harm in being out of 'uniform' for a 'Professor' so the Doctor wore his trusty brown trench coat, his dark red converse and of course his red tie to pull the look together. Getting a good look at himself in the mirror, tongue across teeth the Time Lord picked up his sonic screwdriver, tucking it into his jacket pocket and exited the room.
As soon as his bedroom door closed he felt it, the watch having been opened and in that instant memories came flooding back to his mind as he held his head and leaned back against the stone wall his eyes closing. He tried to stand there and sort through the newly awakened memories of the events, these events that had yet come to pass but they were so jumbled and disarrayed that the Time Lord couldn't place them, he couldn't sort them, and the darkest memories were the cloudiest, the blurred bits that he just couldn't get to, to see what was to take place. In a way it was absolutely frustrating to the Time Lord to the point his teeth were clenched, his jaw tightening. But at this moment? There was nothing the Time Lord could do, with an angered fist he slammed it against the wall, his dark chocolate brown eyes opening. Standing there for several moments , trying to calm his tense nerves the Doctor finally pushed himself of the wall and headed down to the main floor of the castle.
The Doctor needed to ease his mind from his current problems, and as fate would have it, he actually ran into Luna Lovegood on his way to the Great Hall for lunch. In his time of chaos, seeing Luna brought a sense of comfort to the man, something that he hoped he'd feel and grow quite accustom to as time went on. Offering for them to have lunch in his office the two headed on their way and once the food was brought by the elves the Doctor thanked them for their service and went about telling Luna about having spoken to the Headmaster and that now she had a position with him as his aide. Seeing her smile, receiving her answer that caused the lanky alien to grin "That's brilliant news, Luna" as she spoke of her father and that she had a place with him the man could only give a nod, what was he really to say? He had to admit the man was definitely a father, from what he read from the books and from what Luna was telling him. she went on speaking about being unable to take him up on his offer, but little did she know was that the Doctor wasn't planning on staying here at Hogwarts. He actually ended up here on accident. When the witch before him mentioned his offer on taking her to see amazing places and that she's be willing to travel with him. With that news the Doctor's brows were raised as he looked to her with shock. Luna Lovegood wanted to be his companion?
It took several moments for the Doctor to even regain his current time consciousness "You're certain of this, Luna?" at the realization that this young woman before actually wanted to travel with him a smile formed which actually broadened into a grin "That is the best news I've heard since arriving.. well.." he thought for a moment "yep" his lips popped at the 'p' "Best news I've heard" especially with the horrible realization of the time paradox and all of that. Should he even bring it up? the Time Lord wasn't sure if he wanted to worry her. Yet as he sat there, the Time Lord's mind began to drift and actually he began to think on it "…. well…" he began after several moments of silence "That professor, Mr. Smith turned out to be the one I was looking for. and we've got and even bigger problem brewing" he grabbed his sandwich and took a bite, eating half of it before continuing after a drink or two of his cuppa tea. With that he went on taking his time so she wouldn't get lost since he knew many did with his rapid talking and explained to her the danger that there was a Time paradox that had formed and so forth. But that he couldn't go searching for the threat. That whatever had formed or happened would soon come to light and until that time, the most he and the other Doctor could do was wait until it did happen then do what they could to stop it.

Not having been able to sleep the night before, John Smith sat in his room at the break of dawn just staring at the watch in his hands. His heart was achingly thumping against his ribcage, the tick of the closed watch in his hands lining up simultaneously with his own heart at that moment 'I can't do this, it’s an extremely daft notion. Me being an alien… I …' the man closed his eyes his mind swimming through the memories that had already entered his mind from the previous events of opening the watch in his hands. 'I can't keep lying to myself… I am Doctor. I'm not just tied to that lanky man, I will become him one day…' slowly those clear blue eyes opened as he looked to the watch, a difference in him. Holding the watch tightly in his right hand he was on his feet and at this point pacing back and forth unsure of how to go about opening this watch. Did he truly want to? Did he want to become the Doctor?
'You need to open that watch!'the frantic and panicked voice of the Doctor rang in his mind. "What could be so bad that he sounded so worried?" the man whispered to himself. 'Answers… I need answers… but I'm scared. I don't want to lose who I am now…' . nearly five minutes passed by with the man arguing with himself mentally and finally he came to the decision to open the watch and when he did. Taking the light in completely the man fell back against the stone floor the watch skidding across stone as he became disabled, his mind rushing to and fro like a freight train. Memories flooding his mind, the Time War, his family, everything lost, the Moment, he used the moment to destroy Gallifrey and the Daleks. Several moments passed and the man had stopped breathing. Was he dead?
No, his brain was catching up with his body and within moments the beating of his left heart picked up again and then the faint feeling of his right. Once they were in sync in beats a deep gasp for air was taken as his clear blue eyes snapped open "Blimey…" a hand reached up and held his cranium "Oh my head…" he sat there trying to gather his thoughts, taking in the air several times through his nostril and exhaling through barely parted lips "The Time War .. Gallifrey.. Gone… but I'm alive… how in the blazes is that even possible? The moment … I …" it was then he realized he was wearing a heavy set of garments "Well isn't this interesting.. a robe?" sitting there the Doctor inhaled deeply "Oh I like that, fresh clean air.." he inhaled again "very clean.. too clean.. where am I? what era is this?" it was then with his newly 'born' eyes the Doctor took in his surroundings "Stone.. wood …" they finally landed on his watch "My watch…" crawling over he took a hold of it and arose to his feet finally.
As soon as he touched it images rushed to his mind, John Smith, "A professor… Hogwarts.. I'm in Hogwarts?" a grin formed upon his lips "Oh how I love this place!" with that the man rushed for his door but all of a sudden he heard a 'click' the moment his hand touched the handle. That caused him to freeze instantly as he turned around, to the trunk at the foot of the bed. "that's the trunk I had tried and tried to pry open…. and it never did.." he shook his head giving a look of disappointment and strode on over to it and in an instant threw the lid open. Within it was a black leather jacket, jeans, belt black shirt and to his shock, his sonic screwdriver. "How did this get here?" confusion laced the man's features as he picked up his clothes "Was Dumbledore behind this?" there were so many questions entering his mind but he could approach the man about that later. Disrobing and dressing in his signature attire after a shower the man tugged on his leather jacket and took up his sonic screwdriver. With a toss in air, and a catch the man grinned "Fantastic" exiting the room possibly for the last time the man glanced around "Blimey, I can't believe it! I’m in Hogwarts!" Oh how he loved this place but rarely ever visited. He had to make a note of doing that more often.
'Hmm.. I wonder where my TARDIS is .. perhaps Rose would know?' he descended down the stairs, laughing heartily as he managed to get a few stair cases that moved. Deciding to go looking for her while in search for his TARDIS made his afternoon and nearly most of the evening. He'd skipped lunch, but at the moment wasn't too hungry. Wanting to find his TARDIS and / or Rose Tyler kept the man focused and not even paying attention to his growling stomach. What did he have to eat anyway? He checked his jacket pockets, nothing edible. Heading into the Great Hall which surprisingly was empty, literally empty of people well there were two elves "Beg your pardon, but would you happen to have some food? Preferably something sweet" with a 'pop' and 'crack' the elves returned with a bowl of fruit and plate with of cucumber sandwiches "Mm now that looks mighty tasty. Thank you. Oh hang on, what date is today?" giving the man the answer the elves disappeared the blue eyed Doctor took the finger food and ate a few pieces, maybe three at the most and chewed them slowly as his mind began to ponder.
'December 1995… at Hogwarts. Blimey this is the Order of the Phoenix year… oh no … Umbridge' The man's face distorted in disapproval for a moment as he shook his head. 'Well isn't that bloody just downright jolly…' A momentary sigh, and semi-eye roll he shook his head. His mind was really focused on finding his TARDIS now, swiping the two bananas in the bowl he tucked them into his jacket pocket for later then once again was on the search looking for Rose Tyler and his TARDIS. Yet as he walked, his pace slowed as the memories of John Smith entered spontaneously flooded through his mind until he halted in his steps.
' the man I came with, he’s called the Doctor, I don’t know why, says he’s looking for an alien just like him' Rose's voice, her words.
In that instant a look of seriousness came over the blue eyed Doctor 'A Time Paradox' a heavy sigh escaped the man's lips as he shook his head "Well, better make the best of things until then… It's going to be really dodgy… I can tell that already … where is Rose? That girl is more difficult to find when you're looking for her" just then he turned the corner and low and behold, Rose Tyler. "There you are, I've been looking for you and you're off and disappear, why'd you go and do that for?" he gave her a look of momentary disapproval before giving her a smile. "Okay, up to speed. I've opened my watch, I have my memories, my screwdriver now I just need my TARDIS. If you'd be so kind as to help me find it, I'd appreciate that. since well you know what it looks like and have been in it… yet my mind is wandering to the other Doctor… such a skinny bloke, isn't he?" When she agreed to accompany him in the search the man grinned wide "Fantastic!"
When she spoke about starving the man gave a nod "Well it just so happens that I do" he reached into his leather jacket pocket and pulled out the yellow ripe fruit and handed it over "Have a banana, bananas are good.. Now C'mon we have a TARDIS to find!"

Surprisingly enough, Harry was able to sleep that night, the first time without any disturbances from other house mates and noises. It was actually fairly quiet which Harry indeed enjoyed, when the sun arose the following morning those brilliant green eyes opened but immediately shut as the boy who lived rubbed his eyes and groaned. Not wanting to get up. It was far too bright and early in his opinion. But he knew he had to. The remembrance that he and Hermione were leaving today got the boy reaching for his glasses and bolting out of bed onto his feet. After checking and rechecking his things he made sure to take the necessities and finally made his way downstairs to the common room where he met up with Hermione, the boy beaming brightly. He was actually excited to get out of this school, and what better way to enjoy his Holidays than with his best friend? It was perfect in Harry's eyes.
As Rose joined them in the common room, Harry being in a surprisingly good mood gave her a smile "Merry Christmas, Rose, I hope you can enjoy your break" with that he reached for Hermione's hand and walked with her out of the common room, heading down the stairs for breakfast. Once breakfast was said and done, with a semi-full stomach, Harry headed out with Hermione into the heavy cold weather. It was Christmas weather for sure in the boy's mind but as long as had his best friend, he was in a better mood. Hermione just always had this way of bringing out that light in him, even in his darkest moments. and the boy was ever so grateful to have her in his life. He truly cared about her more than he even knew.
The train, oh how Harry loved the train rides, other than his previous year, the boy shook his head upon remembering the dementors his third year. The hours passed on the train, food from the trolley, Harry was having a fun time. reminiscing with Hermione about their previous years. how the holidays and so forth go with her and her family. Any sort of traditions and so forth. It was nice to be able to throw caution to the wind for the first time in years. As noon rolled around, the train stopping at the station. Harry was quite taken aback as Hermione was up and out instantly which left the boy to blink but smile 'She's excited' he understood. With the chaos that Umbridge had caused at Hogwarts, she missed her parents. In a sense, Harry missed Sirius, he was all that Harry had left that was even remotely considered family. Harry would try to find a way to contact Sirius once back in the Magical Realm that much he'd promise to himself.
Once off the train and nearing Hermione and her family the green eyed boy smiled "You don't have to apologize, Hermione. I understand" moving closer he greeted her parents and before long they were off toward the Granger Household. The tour of the home was quite enjoyable for the boy, after seeing all the rooms plus Hermione's then the one he'd be staying in he gave her a grin "I think it's brilliant. It's so calm and inviting, a warmth I suppose is how I'd describe the feeling of it" as the day went on the two unpacking, enjoying a bit of tea and sweets the boy was rather liking this time away from the magical world. It was simple and warm and just something he could get used to It was loads better than at the Dursleys and in a sense, with all of the tension and negativity at Hogwarts due to Umbridge's tirade? Harry much preferred over Hogwarts at the current point in time.
The day went on and dinner was served, Harry enjoyed his time eating, talking with Hermione's parents and answering whatever questions they had and so forth. But when they turned in and it was just Hermione and Harry left awake the boy "They're your parents, Hermione. I think what they do and how they are is quite refreshing for a change" everything about the muggle world was quite refreshing to Harry. As Hermione suggested a walk, the boy looked to her and smiled "A walk in the park sounds like a wonderful idea" Harry wasn't much for cinemas he was more a simplistic easy going person. A good walk in nature was loads more fun than sitting in a crowded theater in his opinion. Why sit and watch a movie when you could sit under a tree and open a good book and let your imagination run wild?
