Suicide, Tragic or Selfish?

This is a deep topic, and I've read so many different opinions and approach in this thread alone.

Suicide, for me, is a sad thing. It's not a matter of being tragic or selfish, but it is a sad thing, for the many reasons that has been covered the replies before me.
I don't think any of us could really judge whether someone who suicide is a selfish person or not, as it depended on many factors.

Although, to be honest, there is one kind of suicide case that I couldn't help but wanting to yell 'Stupid!' and 'Selfish!!' to the deceased.
I saw in the news couple years back, of someone who committed suicide in his boarding house, leaving a short suicide that basically said: "I love you, xxxx."
Why do I say it was stupid? The person named in the letter didn't even know that the deceased liked her. He never told her anything about it, or even hinting about liking her. If I remember correctly, the deceased still had family members (parents or siblings) at the time.
For case like this one... it's definitely tragic for the family, but I can't help thinking that it's a stupid reason for suicide, keeping in mind that he never once told her about his being attracted to her.
PS: He wasn't even that close to her, she only saw him as a passing acquaintance.

Brovo's advice is pretty valid actually. :) It is possible that you might be getting tired to RP without realizing it. If that is the case, then some time off the RP could do wonder for you.

Another thing that I think you can do, if you're really wanting to RP but unable to do so in forum at the moment, try a chat RP. It has the drawback that you have to manually save your work (the RP chat) and short posts, but it is faster since your RP partner is online with you.
I did the same thing with Hikari back then. We both wanted faster response and got tired of having to refresh the topic every other minute, trying to see if there's a new post in our RP, so we started to continue our RP via messenger and saved it, then upload the saved convo to the forum as a 1 big post each time.

Hi ya, people! I'm Ishtar, just finished re-registering my old nickname to the new Guild.

It's been months since I last signed in to our lovely roleplayerguild.com since I rarely got time to RP now. Still, I sometimes visited the site, just to check the place or read the stories, old and new.
So... I was very surprised (today) when I saw the new face of the Guild... and I got a sinking feeling when I saw the WAY smaller count of RP threads listed than what I used to. Once I found the thread explaining what happened, which confirmed what I suspected, I spent a few minutes mourning the old Guild and all the stories that now lost, which included my own, a few that I managed to contribute before Real Life dragged me away.

Still, I agree with the opinion that despite the unfortunate losses, this is a very good chance for the Guild to start over. After all, sometimes we need to tear down the old house to build a new and better one.
To Mahz and whoever else helping you: Good luck! And Keep up the good job!! I have no doubt that you guys can bring the new Guild up and be even more greater than before!
