Persona - The True Self

The week silently passed for Matt has he bore the realisation that exams were soon not long after his dilemma within the clubroom, so upon realising his clubroom had become a nice place for solitude he decided to head there to study nearly every day. While doing that Matt avoided invitations to go to study groups or hang out, he really bad at focusing in groups and needed to focus by himself.

Well that's what he said anyway, he just didn’t feel like dealing with people at the moment, which seemed to raise brows within his class due to his usual loudness.
In the end he was now here sitting in the clubroom again studying…. Kinda.
Matt was able to read through notes and textbooks but not all of it was sticking like normal, sometimes he had to go through something multiple times, his head just wasn't in the right place.

The studying didn't go terrible but it could have gone better, but certain thoughts kept coming through his mind when he focused for too long.

With a sigh Matt mumbled to himself,
“....I hope this works out”

Another fight down another success, so why did it feel so pointless?
Thinking back on it Matt went through his day pointlessly to the point he was nearly oblivious to people talking to him during the day, after snapping out of it for a bit the boy mopped around until he decided to clear his head by going and watering the plants in the clubroom and maybe throw some research in to distract his thoughts.

After School he headed to the clubroom and secretly sighed with relief that he avoided Shizuka, “*sigh* huh? Why am I relieved?” With a confusing thought mumbled he started watering the plants.
Distant again in his thoughts Matt gazed out the window into the sky,
What the hell am i supposed to do? Is there anything I can do? Truthfully Matt’s never had to have so much trouble with emotions and people in his life, he would always get people caught up in his pace so quickly no one had time to think about it…. But now the pace was so…. Well slow.

*sigh* maybe if i have a change of environment I can thi- “OH SHIT” Lost in thought Matt didn’t realise he was drowning the flowers he was watering.
Now panicking the young stressed boy picked up the Lilacs and attempted to save them.

“DAMN IT WHY IS THIS SO HARD!?” If anyone walked by they would probably wonder why someones yelling strange words out, but to the boy it was confirmation in words of how heavy the feelings were.

“Simple is best” Ven mumbled out loud as he enjoyed sitting down eating while he waited for the others returned, hopefully they would be a while so he could have a proper rest after how everything spiraled… sadly that didn’t really happen as he soon found himself being dragged off again, seems you can't always get what you want.

Soon after finally arriving at the city Ven was dumbstruck by the amount of people and all the buildings in the area, to the point that as soon as Ruby started showing everyone around he was immediately lost in the crowd of people and had no idea how to proceed which resulted in him getting even more lost.
Catching a whiff of some delicious smelling food Ven decided to follow the smell instead of trying to find his way, though he found the source of the smells was a restaurant area it was much to his dismay that he couldn’t practically afford the pricing on the food.
Broken and dejected the boy mopped his way around trying to find the companions he arrived with as he had no freeking idea where anything was. So he filed through the crowd bumping into a few people, almost getting into a brawl, getting a rumbling stomach and eventually thankfully? (seem as one was the reason he was even dragged here) found his companions.

Somehow, in the end they ended up at Ruby’s house and met her mother… who seemed to be…. Different... compared to Ruby.

After being welcomed it was only right to introduce himself, “thanks, the names Ven… Becoming friends with your daughter is eventful to say the least” Showing his gratitude Ven couldn’t help but have a sinking feeling somewhere in his stomach for some reason.

As Ven watched everything unfold he wondered why the hell everything was happening, why was their flying benches now? It seemed as if Ven went back to his state of confusion until the poke rangers finally turned up and got a handle on things.

With a sigh of relief Ven relaxed for a moment only to be distracted by his name being used, but before he could say anything everyone already hurried off to what seemed to be the direction the eevees ran off to.
Looking down at his partner Ven sighed again, “ya know what buddy I think we should just rest up and make something to eat, bein dragged everywhere kinda started to make me tummy rumble”
Agreeing with the idea of food the blue sylveon nodded and sat down.

Setting up wasn’t too much of a hassle so Ven got distracted by thought as he pulled out his pokedex, “how does this even work?” it seemed Ven wasn’t that great with technology leveled with the fact he was dragged out here without an explanation of how it works properly or a map.

All this being thrown into everything was draining.

“where am I? Whats going on? WHY IS THERE AN URSARING RAGING ABOUT!?”

Out of nowhere Ven started spouting nonsense to the chaos around him… he started to wonder how he got here.
Oh thats right i was dragged off by that cute crazy girl while I was focusing on her sylveon.

Other things seemed to happen along the way like traveling in a group and a battle? Ven was still dazed from being dragged along by Ruby and only just started processing everything.. Only to have it all freeze again momentarily as the scene in front of him unfolded.

Seeing everyone react Ven realised now might not be the best time to document the situation at hand but he was going to anyway. Watching the three he seemed to now be traveling with dealing with the situation in their own ways Ven thought he might as well join in and help, he did hear something about rangers coming so they only had to stall and gain time.
“Alright Lets help too, lets stall it out”
The blue sylveon next to Ven looked up with an expression that looked like it was saying ‘you want me to fight THAT?’

“Come on we don’t have to fight, lets just start off with a sand attack”
With a sigh it leaped in to let off its move.
