Backstory: Jean-Pierre Michel was the younger of the two sons of the Michel family. A ‘middle of the road’ Mage family, as affluent as they are in mundane society they could never seem to make waves in the world of Mages. Jean himself enrolled in university to become a chemist while his brother took up the humble life of a missionary. However, tragedy struck as Jacques was killed by an armed militant group while helping villages in the Middle East. Jean left academia to relearn his families magical teachings, believing that the solution to solving the world’s conflicts lied somewhere between magic and science.
Now a unique opportunity has appeared on the horizon to make Jean’s vision. A Grail War without the meddling of any of the major magical families that developed the cursed ritual in the first place...

- Appearance: A green liquid that bursts into flames when ignited or when it comes into contact with solid objects or water. The fire behaves as conventional fire would, burning flammable objects and growing as it consumes more fuel, only it continues to burn on the surface of water and it cannot be put out by conventional means outside of smothering with large piles of dirt. Chemical solutions are known only to its creator.
- Effects: Developed by Kallinikos, a Syrian seeking refuge from Arabic forces, he shared his secret of Greek fire with the Byzantines Greeks who employed it successfully against two sieges from Arabic fleets on Constantinople. The actual composition of the substance was such a heavily guarded secret that it’s precise composition and methods of manufacture are still unknown to this day.
This NP manifests as an extremely complex formula within Kallinikos’ mind. On it’s own its useless, but with time, material and mana it can be used to manufacture Greek Fire. The substance itself is also useless and requires a method of delivery, such as a simple grenade or a siphon. Once deployed it takes the form of an army consuming fire, able to stop even the most overwhelming military forces in its tracks. The fire consumes all flammable substances in its tracks and grows so long as its supplied fuel. Methods or dowsing it, conventional or magical, do not work save for dumping dirt on it or cutting it off from fuel. Betraying the relationship between fire and water, this fire will burn on the surface of water and throwing water on it will only make its flames burn more intensely.
Because it’s composition has been unknown for centuries, this NP effectively has Presence Concealment (A+).
