Stats __________________________________________________________Endurance:A (A+) Strength: A (A+) Agility:C (C+) Mana:C (B) Luck: E- (E) NP: A (A+) | Abilities __________________________________________________________Madness Enhancement (EX): The Class Skill that characterizes a Berserker, raising basic parameters and strengthens one's physical abilities in exchange of hindering mental capacities and/or in exchange for their sense of reason. Some Noble Phantasms have been sealed away. At this rank all parameters are ranked-up, however reason is not lost as Fafnir never had reason to begin with. Fafnir was always greedy in life and cursed gold only enhanced what was already there. Golden Rule (A+): A Skill that refers to the measurement of one's fortune to acquire wealth. Through the effects of the Andvaranaut, Fafnir amassed a vast treasure beyond comprehension. In life he was able to acquire six NPs and add them to his hoard, one being the cursed hoard itself. His Madness Enhancement makes the pursuit of wealth his sole fixation. Amassing a cursed trove has caused his Luck to rank down. Demonic Mutation (B): A Skill that denotes how a hero or god was transformed into a demon in life. A Skill that considerably strengthens one's abilities as a Servant by emphasizing a fact from the past. Having succumbed to the sin of greed Fafnir was "transformed" into a dragon. He has achieved a level of STR and END that some servants struggle to obtain. Breath of the Dragon (A): The ability to release a torrent of mana like the breath of Dragons, the strongest race of the Phantasmal Species. Fafnir is a true dragon and has no trouble manifesting this ability. His breath is of the poison element, reflecting how was able to poison the land around him. List them here and add/subtract if needed Title: The Cursed Ring of Succession Rank: B Type: Anti-Unit Range: 1-5 Max. Targets: 1 Description: A magic ring forged by the dwarf Andvari from a portion of the Das Rheingold that could locate and acquire gold. Caught by the god Loki, Andvari gave up the ring and his fortune, but discreetly cursed. It's bearers would be subject to an awful fate. The ring was passed on to the Dwarf King Hreimdar as compensation for the accidental murder of his son. One of his remaining sons, Fafnir, then murdered his father and took the ring and the gold for himself, escaping into the wilderness to hoard his treasure and begin his transition into a true dragon. Gold is considered a type of lifeblood, a manifestation of person's well-being and therefore personhood. As such the acquisition of gold from another person is tantamount to draining blood from their body. The ring grants the bearer the ability to covet and acquire things of value. In a Holy Grail War this manifests as the ability to steal mana from other Servants. Upon invoking it's true name, a golden yellow band will appear on the ring finger of Berserker's left claw. When the surface of a living being or Servant makes contact with the ringed claw their mana will be drained and siphoned directly in Berserker's body. The sensation is likened to a burning poison being injected directly into the veins of the target. Sufficiently strong armour or a high rank Magic Resist can reduce or halt the draining effect, but repeated blows or prolonged contact make resistance less effective. Berserker exhibits a tendency to covet what others have, leaving him to activating this NP on a regular basis which could be potentially dangerous for his master as this would cause massive amount of mana drain. Berserker's use of this NP is often short sighted, draining mana without realising certain transactions might leave him with less than what he started with. Title: The Realisation of Dragonhood Rank: A+ Type: Anti-Nation Range: 1-99 Max. Targets: 100 Description: Upon acquiring the Andvaranaut and Advari's Cursed Gold, Fafnir secluded himself from the world and began to 'transform'. He became a great dragon who poisoned the land and instilled fear into the populace. It was only when the hero Sigurd (or Siegfried) slew him did he gain a sense of reason and surmise his remaining brother, Regin, had plotted against him. The dragon gave his slayer a fair warning about the treasure and it's ill-fated curse as he died, though his warning seemingly fell on deaf ears as all men are fated from birth to one day die. This is a crystallisation of Fafnir realising his dragon heritage. He is a being who 'came to realise' he was dragon and so became as such. Hoarding wealth is to be a dragon so this manifests as his accumulated wealth being integrated into his draconic armour. This can increase his mass and cause his Endurance to rank up. The ground below his feet will become increasingly poisonous as life around him withers aways, bending to the sinful aura of the dragon. Upon reaching a mass threshold he will no longer resemble anything that could be considered 'human' and will have ascended to an evil dragon phenomenon. Title: Blood Armour of the Evil Dragon Rank: B+ Type: Anti-Unit Range: - Max. Targets: 1 Description: A dragon's body of invulnerability Fafnir became cursed with upon killing his father and stealing the Andvaranaut and Das Rheingold. Within his body runs true dragon blood and his body is covered in dragon scales. This is the invulnerability that would later be granted to his slayer Sigurd and his Germanic counterpart, Siegfried. It is a continuously active type NP that allows for his skin to cancel out physical attacks and magic equivalent to B-Rank or lower. Attacks A-rank and above can harm him but only register as damage after the defensive values of an amount equal to B-rank are subtracted from them, effectively reducing their ranks to E. Against Noble Phantasms it gains defensive values equal to the rank of B+ but the boost will not apply if an attack or skill has anti-Dragon properties. Due to a cruel fate, the armour has a weak spot above Berserker's heart. This point does not gain defensive values, allowing even weak servants to kill him. The point is rather small and requires great speed and dexterity to hit, however it gets larger and more prominent the more Berserker grows. |
Personality
__________________________________________________________Fafnir is avaricious, which is to be expected from someone who killed his own father for a shiny gold ring. He also has complete contempt for humanity, seeing himself as something above them. Oddly he is not outwardly arrogant, only dismissive of others. He only chooses to acknowledge people when they have something he values.
Background
__________________________________________________________The son of the Dwarf-King Hreimdar and brother to Regin, Ótr, Lyngheiðr and Lofnheiðr. His brother Ótr was accidentally killed by the Norse God of Mischief Loki while he had the appearance of an otter. Odin, Loki, and Hœnir went to Hreimdar to show off his brother's skins and were promptly seized and held at a ransom. Loki was given a task to earn the Aesir's freedom: will the otterskin with gold and coat the outside with in red gold. Loki completed the task by acquiring the gold of Andvari as well as the Andvaranaut. Overcome with greed, Fafnir struck his father dead and sprited the treasure away into the wilderness where his true, draconic self became realised.
Fafnir began a reign of tyranny over the land, poisoning the land and striking fear into the hearts of the people. It wasn't until a slayer came and defeated him, thrusting a fabled sword through his vulnerable spot, right above his heart. He warned the brave slayer that whoever possessed his treasure would meet a dire fate, to which his slayer replied that all men must die some time.
