IT MUST BE A GLITCH IN THE HOLOGRAM
... is what wouldn't even enter Bell's mind.

Sandra gave up in the middle of their duel. Bell doesn't hear her weak excuses.
Add blood streaming from the eyes and foam around the mouth and devil horns and change the hair and eye color and gender and that would be Bell right now.
I'll be online as well.
(Turn 12)

Sandra draws a card or rather she draws Assault Mode Activate. With all the pieces again on the game board she needs to think over how she will trigger he trap card. Its easy, that gold dragon will use its speciall ability she would trigger her trap card. That would make the gold dragons speical ability fizzel and make it destroy itself.
''Mmm...I place one card face-down. I think you know what it is.'' She places her trusted card face down
''That would end my turn.''
(Turn 13)

Cybell drew a card and looked up at her opponent. Play time was over.

"I play Dragon's Mirror to fuse Blue-Eyes Copper Dragon and Blue-Eyes Gold Dragon in my graveyard to summon a second Blue-Eyes Yellow Gold Dragon." A second immense dragon covered in golden scales appeared beside the first. "And then I activate White Lightning Fusion to combine those two dragons into an even stronger beast. Blue-Eyes Platinum Dragon, take to the field!"

A cold white light filled the field as a massive dragon descended from above. It looked more like a serpent than a dragon, until it unfolded its wings. Six immense wings nearly encircled the entire arena, and the dragon's mirror-like scales reflected its own white light in all directions. The dragon roared its supremacy over the puny angel before it.

Cybell looked across the field at her insignificant opponent. "And that's not all. I use Platinum's effect to summon one of those Blue-Eyes Yellow Gold Dragons back to the field in attack position and send one Blue-Eyes Silver Dragon to the grave. By normal summoning Yellow Gold Dragon, it also gains its effect."

The red-eyed girl smirked. This wasn't game over, merely a show of power. "Blue-Eyes Platinum Dragon, attack that angel. White Lightning Star!" The dragon didn't move, but its entire body crackled with energy as its body became brighter and brighter until it couldn't even be looked at. And then all the light was pulled back, gathered between the tips of the beasts' six wings and crushed into a tiny pinprick of light. The dragon brought the star above the angel and dropped it. The arena exploded with a light even drighter than the dragon. Had the angel not been indestructible, there would have been nothing left.

Sandra braced for impact as the dragon's attack hit her fairy dead on
''Again my creature stands as powerful as ever, and might I add I can now put a card on the top of my deck...and I choose my mirrior force trap card'' She puts her chosen card on the top of her deck

Fine then, do as you wish. "Yellow Gold Dragon, attack as well with White Lightning Flare." The golden dragon's head again grew surrounded by white flame, and again a cage of white flame surrounded the opponent's angel.

Sandra smiled now all she needed to do was activate her assault mode and her opponents dragon would not have a target
''I knew that was coming so I....'' She stops dead in her tracks...she just stands there, frozen in her activation pose without her card turning up on the field.

Cybell says nothing as the angel and her dragon are both destroyed, but as soon as the field is cleared of all monsters but her dragon, she speaks. "What the hell was that!?" Her crimson eyes burn with anger. She is not the type to accept anything but her opponent's full effort. To win against someone who doesn't try their all is simply humiliating. "What the hell was that," she says again, quieter this time but equally dangerous.

Sandra stands there frozen again in the same pose....something was wrong, she wanted to go on dueling, she had the plan to turn this around. She would have played her trap card then her Assault overload to deal 2000 damage to the both of them.
''Sandra'' a voice inside her called. Oh no...
''Your body is not yours any longer. Release it to me. As you promised'' She had never done that...who..wait she regonised that voice

Suddenly Sandra makes a jerk motion, like someone pulled on her like on a string back in to her standing pose. With a harder tone then she had before
''There was nothing I could have done. I concede this duel to you.'' Her duel disk closes down and to the buing crowd she turns around and starts walking off

Cybell knew that her opponent was lying. She had lost on purpose. What. The. Fuck! The hologram dragon coiled around as if looking at the girl that had summoned it before flickering out. Cybell turned and stepped off the field. The duel was over, but she wasn't done with her opponent. Not by a long shot.

This pound of flesh was now his. Her wish was to never remember who she was or where she came from. Now that would not only become a reality...it would be its pleasure. Starting to giggle softly to its self as it strolled down the halls in its new body, it soon broke in to a cackling mad laugh
''Foolish girl. Now you're mine. HAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA''
It looks like I'll have to send out another round of PMs to get people to post. Also, FriskyBoots has one more week before her character is permanently removed from the RP. It is early enough to simply retcon Jade out.
When the dark boy, who from others' eyes may have appeared to be close in age to the boy who had abducted them but was indisputably different, asked his question, the hooded boy looked around at the gathered people. "How long were you asleep?" he repeated the boy's question. "Would someone care to answer that question?" He didn't bother saying 'someone with a watch' because those who went to check the time on their phones would find that it was not on them. Indeed, the boy had stripped them of all electronic devices that could contact the outside world.

Where the boy stood, right as the walkway around the pool of water began, anyone who wished to get to the door would have to walk within inches of him or else through the pool. He watched unconcerned as the youngest of those gathered ran over to the water. That one's chance of survival would be low. Curiosity and ignorance and misfortune. It was nothing he hadn't seen before.

It's Cybell, how do you know she wasn't faking it :p?

The same question Ian asks himself every day.
Just as she finished her Soda she had finally gotten her dueling opponent, A miss Yvenstar, a name she had not heard off but then again she herself was not the most famous name in the dueling world. And since she couldn't ride motorcycles she hoped they would duel classic face to face. She was best at that sort of dueling. As she was walking towards the main arena she was wondering what kind of deck her opponent ran, it could be anything considering the tournament had very few cards on its banlist and even fewer clues on what the 3 black hooded teachers would be running. Perhaps she would finally face off against a Toon deck as she always wanted...ech low chance considering the fact that as far as Sandra knew the only Toon cards in the world was in Mr.Crawords deck back in Industrial illusions.

She entered the main arena where already some scrubs had showed up for her first tournament duel. Looking around she felt rather confident. After all she had a good solid deck in her hands with some of her favorite cards and combos. Walking up the main stage she shuffled her cards and put them in her fancy custom ordered black duel disk. It had a separate slot for the Extra deck built right in to the side. So when she summoned her ace it would pop right up on the duel disk with but a push of a concadle button. She used to think it was the only feature that reminded her that she used to be rich. She supposed...she supposed.

Cybell stopped walking as her name was said over the speakers. So she was given an even weaker opponent? She crunched another block of ice and turned around to go to the dueling arena. If she was lucky, one of the stupid masked retards would make the mistake of showing up. She wasn't even giving her new opponent a thought. Whoever she was, she sounded insignificant.

She walked onto her side of the duel field and held of her left arm. A sleek white duel disk with what looked like a blue sapphire in the center unfolded on her arm. The masked bastards weren't here. Might as well finish up this waste of oxygen quickly then. Hey, she had black hair. This was the girl slimy had been chatting with in the cafeteria. Could they be friends? If she brutalized this girl in a duel, would slimy be angry? Cybell smirked. Even more incentive to crush her.

"Hey little girl," Cybell called over, though she was in fact younger than her opponent, "why don't you just give up now and save me some time? I have no interest in beating people who don't even deserve to be dueling me in the first place."

Sandra who was just about to reach out a hand in good spirit and friendless stopped in her tracks for the 3th time today...really? This was her response? To be an arrogant jerk face. Sighing she replied

''No I think not. Instead I say we duel now and then see who is weaker. Also since I am nice lady I say we vote on which style of dueling we shall use. I vote standard. What do you think''? She shuffles her deck as she is conversing with this very unfriendly and unlady like foe. She at least looks like a good challenge if nothing ells. But does she have to be so filled with hate? Bah Sandra would show her. A good duel will do them both good.

"Standard is fine." Cybell's red eyes didn't look down as she picked up her deck and shuffled the cards with flair. The cards seemed to stream upwards out of her right hand to her left against gravity. She shuffled them normally after that and returned the deck to the deck slot of her white duel disk. "Duel start." Five cards seemed to jump from the deck to her hand.

''Good...Also Sandra.'' Sandra draws her starting lineup as the crowd gives an applaud if only out of kindness to the two on stage. Looking at her hand she feels rather confident again...Wonder what she would be facing
''Go ahead. Give me your best shot...''
(Turn 1)
Cybell brushed her hair aside. "My best shot would be overkill against someone like you," she said matter of factly. She picked one card out of her hand, and the shape of a girl materialized behind her shoulder. "I summon Maiden with Eyes of Blue in attack position, set one card face-down, and end." The blurred duel spirit shot towards the duel field where she became defined and visible to the crowd. It was a girl that looked a lot like the one that had summoned it, except where the duelist's eyes were blood red the monster's were as blue as the sky.
(Turn 2)
Really? Sandra was not born yesterday. A monster with 0 attack points surely packed some sort of powerful special ability in her trunk. Not to mention the fact that she put one card face down
''Are you this friendly with all your opponents? My move!'' Sandra draws a card in a classic duel motion and again checks her hand. Surely she could get something out of this..But her hand needed some extra firepower...mmm..
''I'll start by playing my magic mallet card.'' A picture of a hammer appears on the field
''Now I just take the cards I don’t want...like these 3...and shuffle then back and draw 3 new. Simple?'' A fast reload of her hand and Sandra checks....not good.
''I put 2 cards face down...then I shall summon my powerful assault beast in attack mode.'' A roaring beast warrior with a mace and armor made of leather appears on her center board of her duel disk.
''It comes packed with 1900 attack points'' But that was all she could do. Taking a stand back she says
''Why aren’t you happy? We are just starting on a fantastic duel...you should lighten up. I end my turn''
(Turn 3)
"1900? Is that all?" Cybell yawned. 1900 attack wasn't even enough to get her out of bed in the morning. Either way, that monster was useless against her dragons. It didn't even have an effect it could use on the field. Truly a useless monster. "Sorry, but that's not going to help you. Feel free to think otherwise though. I think I'll just end without doing anything for now. No need to play my hand when you haven't even gotten anything worth destroying on the field."
(Turn 4)
Sandra just looked at her...how dare she...what kind of gall did she possess...she was going smite that girl so hard she would feel it in to next year. She drew a card
''Fine then you punk'' She plays another magic mallet
''I think you recall how this works.'' She takes her whole hand and shuffles it back
''3 new cards to me'' She looked at her new hand...and she smiled...perhaps this duel was going to be fun after all
''I activate one of my face-down, a card known as a trap monster, Embodiment of Apophis.'' Rising from her face down card a snake like being with a sword and shield rises next to her Assault beast.
''Now I think I add one more card to this trio, a monster called Vylon Prism'' A square-thing appears with angel wings and a halo next to her other two beings. She now takes a more relaxed position and asks her opponent
''Why do you duel?''

Cybell smirked. "I duel to prove my superiority over people like you. The weak have no place thinking they can rise any higher than they are. But most importantly, I duel because I want to."

Sandra sighed, of course she gave an response like that...why did she except otherwise
''I duel to forget...forget what I used to be in the eyes of those who should have cared for me the most...'' She makes a motion with her hand and started chanting
''In the void between light and dark, here meets a creature that is forever twisted between his love and his duty. Where one is alone the twins are strong. I call to the field my instrument of forgetting. The Chaos Fairy LUMINAS!'' Her Vylon Prism and her Apophis both disappear in a round green ring as the lights in the ceiling starts to blink and flicker. Sandra pushes her special button and takes her two monsters of the disk. Behind her a being made of strange white bright black stuff appears. Its massive wing flaps carrying it down to the field. Soon it stands next to her and her assault beast.
''First special ability of my Chaos fairy sadly means that my Assault beast is destroyed.'' A being in front of her lifts up the beast warrior on question and eats it alive. In quite a gruesome display
''That is what I mean...forgetting what was'' She looks at the two cards she has left...yea. She would do this
''I place one card face down and end my turn.''
(Turn 5)
"From the way you say its name with such flair, I assume this is your great trump card?"

Sandra only response is to smirk and do a lame impersonation of the girl standing in front of her
''Oh people who are so weak like yourself should know when you lose, why don't you just give up so I can get back to kicking puppies and drinking virgin blood?''

Cybell looked up at the big dark fairy. It was depressingly weak, but it was stronger than the puny monsters that had been blended into its birth. It was at least worth destroying. She drew one card.

"I summon Elemental HERO Prisma in attack mode and activate his effect to reveal Blue-Eyes White Gold Dragon in my extra deck and send one Blue-Eyes Gold Dragon from my deck to the grave." The winged hero made of glass cracked and folded into the shape of a great dragon. "And then I'll activate my face-down: Soul Resurrection. Blue-Eyes Gold Dragon, come join me for this bit of sport." The air in front of the girl shimmered as a beast of immense size was summoned. Though it was shaped exactly as the glass creature, the original dragon radiated a golden light that the fake could not replicate.

"And then I'll send my dragon to my hand with the spell card: A Wingbeat of Giant Dragon. This card also tends to destroy all the spell and trap cards you have set over there. Sorry about that."

Sandra again just smiled and said
''Bad luck for me I suppose'' She did a hand motion
''Fortunately one of those cards happen to be one my true favorites...go ASSAULT MODE ATIVATED'' A picture of a screaming man holding a card up in the sky is shown
''Fancy that, now...you figured my trump card was on the field...well that is only half true. Some monsters have...a hidden side. A side of power. And I am about to unleash that right now. Here goes nothing, I tribute the chaos fairy already on the field in order to unleash his true form.'' The gray being is removed from the field is a flash of light as a eerie silence is left its place. Sandra closes her eyes and lets her finger lightly touch every card in her deck feeling after just the card she needs...and she finds it, pulling it out in a dramatic motion
''ASSAULT MODE CHAOS FAIRY LUMINAS!'' A massive being of flame, light, and power appears now with an almost ear shattering roar. Two massive wings which are sitting on a hooded armored being who wields a sword of pure flame takes its rightful place on the field. She picks up her face down card and removes it from the board and puts in her graveyard
''As you where.''

"Oh no, not an even bigger fairy," Cybell said in a perfect monotone. "It looks like I'll have to think up an even bigger fairy joke for it now." She sighed and shook her head in disappointment. "Whatever, I'll just end with that. Feel free to play with your fairy friend now." The glass dragon cracked and folded in on itself until the glass winged hero stood on the field again in his original shape.
(Turn 6)
Sandra looked down...then she looked up with nothing but contempt in her eyes.
''I draw'' She looked at the card and looked up
''Respect is clearly something you lack you waste of space. I teach it you the hard. Chaos Fairy Luminas crush that Prisma with Divine Flame Buster'' The massive angel picks up his sword and rushes over to the very small Elemental hero. With one might smash The Chaos fairy smashes it and then Sandra looks at her opponent
''You talk quite a big game, but push comes to solve you're nothing but an arrogant punk with a broom up your arse.'' Sandra places one card face down again and then passes the turn to her opponent
''It’s time now for your comeback sweetie''
(Turn 7)
Cybell stared down at her feet as her life points dropped down to 6200. She looked up with the same smirk on her face as before. "Good, it looks like you already know what's about to happen here," she said. She slipped a drawn card into her hand to sue later.

"I hope that face-down can save you," she said, flipping a card from her hand around and placing it on the field. "White Lightning Fusion!" A column of brilliant white lightning descended from above as Cybell sent Blue-Eyes Copper Dragon and Blue-Eyes Gold Dragon from her hand to the grave. "Come and show this angel how to fall, Blue-Eyes Yellow Gold Dragon." The lightning's flash faded, and a long and sleek dragon floated in the air there. Its golden scales were even more radiant than the other dragon's had been, and it had a mane of long golden barbels that drifted around its face.

Sandra stood unimpressed again mimicking her foe
''If you think an overblown lizard with 500 points less than my mighty creature is going to fighten me then your sadly mistaken''

"I don't think I am. I normal summon my dragon to have it gain its effect. You seem to have not noticed that my dragon is a gemini monster. The first part of his effect makes his name also 'Blue-Eyes White Dragon', which means I can use my spell card Burst Stream of Destruction to wipe your angel off the field."

Sandra stood there in shock
''You can’t...''

The radiant dragon opened its mouth, and it was as if a door to the core of a star had been opened. The blast of white flames incinerated everything in its path. When the great dragon closed its jaws and the white light's glowing afterimage faded, there was one less angel standing to oppose it.

Sandra took the blast as she crossed her arms, biting her teeth together she shouts back
'''Whenever assault mode version of a monster is destroyed the original version of that monster takes it place. So return to the field Chaos Fairy Luminas!'' Like out of a egg shell the original chaos fairy appears before the hallow husk assault mode angel dies in a explosion
''I am not defenseless yet.''

"You said that perfectly. You are not yet defenseless. I haven't completely stripped your field and deck just yet." Cybell stood just as confident as she had been since walking onto the duel arena floor. "I set one card and end my turn. Let's see what you can do."
(Turn 8)
Sandra lights up
''With pleasure...I draw!'' She draws again....and this time she seems rather content with her draw
'''I think I start off with another face down card...and then, might chaos fairy attack her dragon with void buster!'' Her angel winds up for a mighty steam of blackness towards her dragon while Sandra stands there finally getting in to the duel proper. It was time for this overgrown clown to see some real dueling skills

The steam sadly backfires and hits Sandra straight in her face pushing herself backwards and draining 200 of her until then untouched life points.
''Sure my life points might take a dip....but my chaos fairy can’t be destroyed in battle...and to make him even better he lets me take any one card from my graveyard and put it on the top of my deck...and think i got the perfect choice in mind...'' She pulls out Assault mode Chaos fairy Luminas and shows it to her opponent
''Next turn this bad boy is going straight in to my hand.'' She tend stands up
''That ends my turn''

(Turn 9)
Cybell drew. Not the best draw, but it would be useful later on for sure. "I guess all that's left is to attack your goth pixie then," she said with a fake smile. "Blue-Eyes Yellow Gold Dragon, White Lighting Flare!" The great dragon reared back, golden flame arcing between its long barbels. An arc of white light burned from its head.

''Nice move....'' Sandra looks down on the field
''But its the last move you'll ever make, activate trap card!'' An all too familiar card activates on the field
''Mirror force will remove your puny dragon before it even gets a chance to touch my fairy. How sad. All that build up all that arrogance all for nothing.'' A round reflective bubble appeared in front of her chaos fairy
''It’s over''

The blast of white flame was bounced back into the dragon’s face, destroying it, but when the smoke cleared, the angel was trapped inside a cage made of arcs of the same white flame. Bell yawned at her opponent's futile resistance. "I am saddened by the loss of my dragon, but at least he can still annoy you after death." The cage of white flame exploded.

As the flame cage explodes the angel remains
''I dare say you are wrong there...by discarding my hand my mighty chaos fairy can't be destroyed. It remains as strong as ever.''
She stood there now handless and rather happy
''What’s that look on your face? Is that enjoyment I see?''

Cybell waved her hand. "I will leave what you see to your own interpretations. For now, I'll just end my turn and allow you to make your angel all big and scary again."
(Turn 10)
''Oh I can't do that yet'' She draws a card and shows it to her opponent who has never told her what her name is.
''Without Assault mode activated this creature of mine is worthless. But, I hope I can change that. Activate spell card, Assault teleport!'' Her face down is put face up
''Now we send this card back in to my deck and hope the gods favor me with some good stuff. 1 card in 2 cards out..let’s see'' Sandra shuffled her card back in to her deck and draws 2 new.
''Next I think I shall proceed with attacking you directly. Void Buster!'' The fairy once again shoots its black steam but this time at her opponent's life points
''Tough break!''

Cybell yawned simply to annoy her opponent. "Yeah, I suppose it is. I activate my face-down: Call of the Haunted." White lightning flashed from above again, and Blue-Eyes Yellow Gold Dragon once again loomed over the dark fairy. "No direct attack for you," Bell said lazily. She was beginning to enjoy herself against this angelic punching bag. It was surprisingly good at not dying, a quality she much appreciated in a monster.

''VOID BUSTER'' The attack flies straight in to the newly reborn gold dragon, and just like before it gets bounced back to Sandra dealing another 200 damage. Covering her hands and face again when the rebound hits she grinds through her teeth again
''This time I am adding the assault mode activate from my graveyard to the top of my deck. That means I can activate it next turn. for now I place one card face down...this will...'' Suddenly she stumbles a bit and puts her hand up towards her head shaking it a bit
''End...my turn'' Damn headache coming at the worst of times

(Turn 11)
Cybell drew a card and actually smiled. Perfect. Now she could wipe that angel off the face of the earth whenever she wanted, assuming it didn't die before she had to use that.

"I normal summon Blue-Eyes Yellow Gold Dragon on my field to have it gain its effect. And now I'll have it attack your angel. White Lightning Flare!" The dragon again reared back as white flames arced from its barbels. The flames shot out and again encircled the angel in a cage of white flame. The dragon and the angel both exploded into white flame. Call of the Haunted was sent to the grave, the monster it was targeting gone.

Sandra's chaos fairy is hit
''Did you forget already? He can’t be destroyed! She discards her hand again and her fairy remains.
''It’s just like our past...it can't go away on its own. Why are you acting like this? Sitting there, pretending to be bored and bland? What are you pretending to hide?

Cybell smirked, an all too familiar occurrence in this duel. She wasn't even taking her opponent seriously. "I'll end my turn," was all she said. A ball of golden flame appeared in front of her and rapidly grew into a small yellow sun. Blue-Eyes Yellow Gold Dragon uncoiled back onto the field.
So are you okay with posting everything up to turn 12 to the IC?
Jay was one of the last people to make their way off the boat. Unlike the others, he felt no rush to begin the challenge right away. If the others were good enough, it wouldn't matter if they started first or last. The weak would be weeded out soon enough either way. Jay reached behind his back to release Ava from her pokeball when a trainer ran forward and challenged him to a battle. His hand moved away from the pokeball's release button.

He wasn't really in the mood to battle, but it would be a good warm-up after being cooped up inside the ship for so long. Jay didn't have to worry about his skills getting dull, but he did put value in learning new techniques from his opponents. Battling was always about getting better. "Fine, I'll battle you," he said, accepting the challenge. He was a man bound by title to etiquette after all.

Another man, another trainer probably, stepped forward. Jay had seen him scanning the faces of each person as trainers had disembarked the boat to begin their own Master Trainer challenge. He wondered who this man was.

"Alrighty then, if it's a battle I'll referee. Two pokemon each. The first to take down both opponents pokemon is the winner. Are you ready?"

Jay nodded, his piercing green eyes remaining on his challenger. "Yes, I'm ready."

The challengeing trainer gave Jay a grin. Reaching into his pocket he pulled out a pokeball and then launched it forward towards the ground. A bright light came out from the ball and a Skarmory appeared. The Skarmory cocked it's head upwards at the sky and let out a very piercing screech.

The Challenger then looked at the blonde haired man and called out, "Your turn."

Jay stepped forward as a black and gold pokeball fell from his belt. The place he had been standing turned into a swirling vortex of crimson flame. The creature inside spread its wings, and the flames were sucked back into its red and gray plumage.

The pokemon's luxury ball bounced back into Jay's outstreched hand. "Acedia, take your time with this one. I don't want him to blink and miss everything." The Talonflame alighted to the ground without a sound, smoldering wings now cold pressed against its sides. The bird's eyes, a clearer blue than the sky above, met the sharp yellow eyes of the bird of steel. "He won't learn anything if he can't see why he lost," Jay said.

The moment the trainer saw that Jay sent out a Talonflame a look of disappointment appeared. Using a pokemon that was strong against his pokemon. A fundemental of battle, but something that was going to make the match so unentertaining.

"Damn, I wasn't expecting to see a fire type pokemon.", he said and sighed, "Alright Skarmory use Steel Wing"

The Skarmory cawed into the air and began flapping it's wings strongly. It's large metal frame lifted up into the air and it soared up high. Once it had reached it's peak, it's steel-cladded wings shown a very exquisite light. Skarmory then arched its' body downwards and nose dived straight towards Jay's Talonflame. Using it's wing like a blade it took a swipe at the enemy pokemon.

Jay shielded his eyes from the sun as he looked upwards, but otherwise did nothing. A trainer who needed to tell his pokemon what to do, simply did not know his pokemon well enough to win. The crimson and gray bird was motionless up until the last possible instant. The Skarmory's sword-like feathers were splitting the air only a few feet from Acedia's blue eyes. Those eyes hadn't left the other bird's once. Acedia. The name was ironic. He moved.

The metal bird's wings cut nothing, what it had been aiming for had vanished. Jay felt the air around him surge forward in a sudden updraft. High above, exactly where the ex-champion had been staring into the sky, Acedia flew, both his wings scattering the light from the sun with a metallic sheen. As Steel Wing faded, the bird's wings began to smolder again as they usually did. Only then did the sound ring out. It was the sound of metal striking metal.

The blow had caused Skarmory to launched backwards a couple of feet. A very impressive blow for a move that wasn't very effective. After a few moments of being down, his Skarmory popped back up and was looking extremely furious to have missed his attack and be struck at the same time.

"Skarmory use Metal Sound!"

The trainer decided that it might be better to go into a more defensive type strategy. Pure offensive wasn't the correct way of going about this.

Skarmory cocked it's head directly at Acedia and began to let out an ear piercing screech. The sound of running knives against the inner edges of a fork would be the closest thing to describe this deafing noise. It's piercing noise was sent throughout the small area of town they were in. Giving both him and Geoffrey a terrible headache.

The Trainer knew that if he kept trying to use moves that hit the Talonflame head on it was going to miss almost every time. Using a move that was unavoidable is the only possible way of going about it.

"So what do you think of that!?", the opposing trianer said cockily.

"I think it's annoying as hell is what I think.", Geoffrey called back to the trainer.

Jay covered his face with his hand. Using a move that lowers special defense wouldn't help much if he couldn't touch Acedia. He shook his head and looked at the arrogant amature. "Acedia, show him a little of your speed."

The bird screeched, and its wings began to burn hotter. Flame Charge. A plume of fire exploded behind Ace's wings as he shot downward at the heavy bird of steel. He was moving even faster than he had just seconds ago.

Skarmory wasn't able to move out of the way fast enough and the Flame Charge hit the steel bird directly. The Skarmory flew backwards towards it trainer and with only two hits the pokemon was down and out. It laid there fainted from the sheer power of the hit.

The trainer looked down at his Skarmory with an astonished face. How could one of his best pokemon be knocked out with only two hits. Who was this guy that he was facing. Knowing that this Talonflame of his was extremely powerful he knew he was going to have to pull out a counter pokemon.

"Go Rhyperior!", he shouted out as he tossed a great ball forward.

A white light launched out from the center of the ball revealing his very large Rhyperior.

Once the pokemon had been released the trainer the called out, "Rhyperior use Rock Wrecker!"

Upon recieving its' orders the Rhyperior slammed its' fist into the ground below it and began to rip the earth up using brute strength. Once a very large portion of the ground had been pulled from the area Rhyperior threw its' arms back and launched the land towards Acedia.

Jay counted under his breath as his view of Acedia was blocked by the mass of earth and rock. "Three... two... one..." The piece of land exploded, an arrow of flame blasting out of the cloud of dust right down at the huge Rhyperior. Hm, Jay had expected Ace to go with Brave Bird instead of Flare Blitz. He must have wanted to ignite pretty bad if he was ignoring the fact that there was no way his attack would KO the opponent's pokemon.

The Rhyperior being as heavy as it was could not avoid the attack, so the flaming bird slammed right into its' chest. But since it was a fire type move no damage was hardly done to its' solid body. Though with the bird being as close as it was, it meant that Rhyperior could easily do a quick physical attack.

"Rhyperior use Take Down!"

Rhyperior using its' large hands gripped onto the bird and slammed it straight into the crater that was infront of its' massive body. Using the weight of his arm alone was enough to send around a ton of pressure down on the bird pokemon. Even though it was a normal type move, the trainer was hoping that his Rhyperior sent enough strength into it to knock the Talonflame out.

Jay shook his head. Acedia could outspeed a jet, but his two strongest attacks left him weakened and vulnerable to being hit, just like what had just happened. It didn't take very much to knock Ace out, which is why he relied so much on his unrivaled speed to avoid everything and attack first. His defeat had been his own fault. A red light surrounded Acedia as he was pulled back into his black and gold pokeball. Jay took another luxury ball from his belt and tossed it into the air.

"Luxuria, you're up." A stream of clear water droped out of the pokeball and to the ground, shaping into a blue cat-like creature. The Vaporeon looked up at the hulking Rhyperior with curiosity. Luxuria looked back at Jay and cocked her head. The ex-champion sighed. "Yes, that is your opponent." Lux just mewed and strolled up to the beast and licked its leg. Jay sighed again. She was always like this.

"Rhyperior use STOMP!", the opposing trainer shouted out with such gusto to his pokemon.

The Rhyperior lifted up the leg that was being licked and then immediate shot it downwards towards the Vaporean below it.

Luxuria was crushed beneath the massive leg's weight. There was no sign of the blue pokemon though. A few seconds later, streams of water poured out from under the Rhyperior's massive foot and recollected into the shape of a Vaporeon. She mewed again.

"Lux, stop playing around. Finish this battle." The Vaporeon visibly pouted, its fins drooping. The cat-like creature's form dissolved at the same time as the surrounding area was blanketed in a cloud of Mist. Luxuria's ultimate defense and offense: Mist Armor. A combination attack using Mist and Acid Armor to make the effect even more potent.

"Now," Jay said. Inside the cloud of white Mist, it was as if a laser light show was turned on. The beams came from every direction, rapid-fire, each lasting a fraction of a second before fading out and being replaced by another coming from an entirely different location inside the cloud. Then the beams stopped, and the mist disappeared, and Luxuria dropped to the ground before a completely frozen, completely defeated Rhyperior.

The trainer recalled his fainted Rhyperior ashamed of how bad of a trainer he was compared to the other trainer. Once the battle was over he just ran off with a single tear in his eye. All of his hopes and dreams crushed by a single trainer beating him without even speaking a single word to his pokemon.

"And with that, the Winner is.....Blonde Guy! Yeah, I never actually caught your name.", Geoffrey said to the winning trainer.

The winner recalled his Vaporeon and replaced the pokeball onto his belt. He was reminded that he still had to let Ava out. She would be angry at him for battling without letting her out first. Could he just not tell her? No, Lux would definitely brag to Ava about her win. She would ask how Acedia got knocked out too. Damn, it looked like there was no avoiding it.

He looked at the trainer who had acted as referee for the match, though he hadn't actually been necessary. "My name is Jay Rayne. I am Unova's ex-Champion." Still, he could put off letting Ava out for a little while more.
