Before they left the base Vida was able to obtain some shoes, that were unfortunately to big, and a jacket, which luckily was to big. The jacket was so big that the sleeves went down past her hands. it was obviously meant for a male to wear instead of a small female. she fiddled with the sleeves for a moment then sighed giving up on making them shorter. She needed to cover her hands anyway. She didn't want to accidentally touch anyone. After she had climbed into the van she pulled up the hood of her jacket to lessen the chance of skin to skin contact. Even she knew that right now she looked a little ridiculous covering up like she was.
"Welcome back!"
She turned her head at the now familiar voice. but there was nothing there. "Mister..... rabbit?" She hesitated.
"Ah!" she suddenly felt a warm breath on her neck which made her turn back around to see the man wearing a rabbit mask standing right beside her so they almost touched. "Mr. Rabbit. That does suit me. Right, right. I think I will keep it." He stepped back from her so they were now a comfortable distance away.
"Um. Am I..." She started looking around at the emptiness that surrounded them.
"Asleep?" The rabbit mask smiled at her for a moment as if amused and then quickly turned into a sad face with a tear painted on one side. "Sadly, sadly. You can only see me when you are sleeping But.." The tear vanished as he was smiling to her again. This time a more sinister smile. "I can see all the time. Like what you did to that poor man. It was quite exciting, no?"
She shook her head. "No it wasn't. It was awful. I never want to do that again. I hurt him, I couldn't take hurting someone like that again!"
"Really, really?" He didn't seem impressing with her answer and more waved it off with mild interest. "I thought for sure the reason you don't want to do it again was more selfish. You don't want to get hurt. Oh look! Time is up!" The ears of the mask perked up as if he heard something in the distance. 'Next time I expect even more entertaining things!" With that the world shift and Mr. Rabbit became fuzzy.
Vida was startled awake. Her breaths were deep at first like she was trying to catch her breath, then they slowed to a normal pace. They had arrived at the town. She looked out of the windows of the van to scan her surrounding before climbing out. A breeze passed through them giving her a sense of comfort. She was awake again, this was the real world. She pulled on her jacket sleeve making sure that it was covering her hands for a moment. She would have to talk to someone able her dreams eventually. Something didn't quite set right with her about them.
Looking up to the crowd she wondered who she would be partnered with. She really didn't mind who it would be, she wouldn't be able to talk right with any of them anyway. They would most likely find her annoying by the end of the day. Sighing to herself she couldn't help but smile as she looked to the town with all its inhabitants buzzing around with their normal days. She hadn't thought about it until now, but it looked like fun to live life normally.
