Romance Dawn: A High Casual One Piece RP

Welcome young pirate to the world of One Piece!
Here, you shall be exposed to an age of romanticism filled with adventure and piracy. No prior knowledge of the One Piece world is needed, but if any one feel like reading up, you may access this site: One Piece

Premise:

20 years have passed since the last Pirate King roamed the seas. Monkey D. Luffy and his band of merry men were notorious throughout the world for traversing the mysterious Grand Line, conquering the New World and obtaining the truth about the origins of both the World Government and the network of sailors who call themselves, Pirates. Towards the end of his journey, Luffy had obtained the respect of many islands and focused his attention on cleaning up the seas of those who he deemed to be 'bad'. However, although he managed to rid the world of many evil Pirates and Marines alike, the world inevitably keeps turning and history continues to repeat itself in the form of new dreamers setting sail onto the greatest sea in the world. Not long after he ascended to the seat of Pirate King, the greatest crew in the world simply vanished. Without a trace or word, there was nobody left alive who could account for the whereabouts of the Straw-Hats, some hypothesized that in order to live a peaceful life the Straw-Hats had took it upon themselves to flee to Raftel, or one of the Sky-Islands, where they would forever remain undisturbed till the end of their days. On the year of the turtle, Luffy declared that he had left the greatest treasure ever to have existed, One Piece, in its rightful place, waiting there for the next crew who were destined to become the new kings of the sea. Ushering the world into the next era, whispers float through the Grand Line and the Blues, the seat of Pirate-King is once again up for grabs and those who seek power, fame and fortune are once again sailing towards their dreams.

The race for One Piece has once again, begun.

Your Role in the Story:

So, you'll be playing as rookie pirates. You can start your own crew and I'll allow you to have an NPC or two that would accompany your character that'll play as the captain. Also, If you don't feel like making your own, you can just join someone else's. If that still doesn't please you, then you can go solo, but that wouldn't be that fun, and the chances of dying would probably be higher. I've already got a general plot thought out and I'll reveal it as the RP progresses. Also, in terms of how dark this RP will be, you can probably go as far as you want as long as you're not disobeying any RP Corner Rules. Be as cunning as Law, reckless as Luffy, profane as Bartholomeo, or as merciless and bloodthirsty as Kid or Akainu; your choice really. And if you're not sure what Stat to get, you can ask around or just request for help like just asking for a random Devil Fruit.

Character Sheet

Name: What people call you. A name and not a moniker or epithet.
Age: Nothing too young or old. Its not fun seeing the elderly get beaten up; same goes for kids.
Race: You must be something. Please feel free to tell us what that something is.
Height and Weight: Since size varies in the One Piece world, its gonna be helpful to have an idea how large or small your character is.

History: Everyone likes a good story. Also, the RP is going to start at Lougetown.

Abilities: You are capable of what again? You get one. This could be a Devil Fruit, a fight style, or anything of the like. Please don't go overboard though; you guys are rookie pirates.
Techniques: No need to fill this up right a way. Its just a place to dump the moves you'll probably repeatedly use over the course of the story.
Traits: Just leave this blank for now.
Inventory: Only the important stuff. Having a picture of your father isn't important to me.

Making use of dials would be fine but you'll have to explain where you got them. Also, it was mentioned in the manga that cloud-based dials only work in the White Sea.

A crew if an elite few is fine by me. Something similar to the Straw Hats it what I envisioned for most, if not all, of the players. Just have core members.

And instead of just doing links, I want a sense of uniformity, so I'll be editing the format of all the character sheets. Well, unless you guys do it.

Oh yeah. To everyone who's joining, talk it out with the other RPers. You guys should establish or at least have an idea on how crews will be made. I won't be giving you guys NPC captains to choose from. I want crew decisions and compositions to be player-dependent.

I know I keep on telling you guys to use the [Hider] option and to make your character sheets more presentable by properly using Bold on some sections of the character sheet, but if that can't be followed, that's fine.

Anyway, I'll be making an Info Cache later on. All character sheets will be put there. I'll be the one who'll manage the character sheets that don't make use of [Hider] and Bold option.

I dislike it when people choose logias as their primary stat since their semi-invincible unless their opponents have Haki or Seastone, but I like the fact that her mastery of her DF was quite poor.

History is okay.

As for abilities, please mention her current level of mastery of the fruit. And like Explosive Combat (See Thanatos' CS), Magma Combat is not a technique. Its more of a Fighting Style.

Rokushiki is a fighting style while Soru, Shigan, and Tekkai are techniques.

You mentioned that she can turn into magma. That doesn't need a technique, that's already a given. Well, unless she doesn't know how to due to lack of control of her fruit.
You also said that she could shoot magma out of her arms and make it rain magma by shooting magma into the air and letting it fall onto the earth below. That's a technique. Give it a name. Akainu had a similar technique.

Please elaborate on Party Tricks. Is he good at acrobatics? Can he breath fire? Can he pull a sword out of his mouth?
And Explosive Combat isn't really a technique; techniques are named moves that characters from One Piece usually shout out. (Ex. Gomu Gomu Pistol, Soru, Franky Radical Laser, et cetera)

Age: 17
Race: Human
Height and Weight: 5 foot 4, 132 pounds.

Appearance: Rem is a thin yet muscled man with slightly below average height. He has short, brown hair and similarly brown eyes. He usually has a calm, cheerful look as his neutral expression. He wears a boater hat, and wears a white tank-top which looks like it's way too large for him. He walks around barefoot as he'd probably just end up blowing up any foot wear he got. He has a straight nose, ears with attached earlobes, and somewhat yellow teeth.

Personality: Rem has an adventurous personality, he has yearned for exploration since he was a child. During his childhood, he had nothing but the utmost admiration for pirates, respecting them for being able to do whatever they want whenever they want. He is not the sort of person to do charity work and will often refuse to help anyone out unless he has taken a liking to them. The promise of treasure, however, is a good way to convince him to do just about anything. He loves joking around and has a very casual personality. Although, he is known to get very jumpy whenever he's in serious,danger. Rem likes saying whatever comes to mind, which often gets him in trouble. He hates when people make comments about his stature, which is a good way to get him angry quickly. He has a great love of party tricks, and keeps several related items on him. Rem is the type of person who would choose a man's romance over the traditional type, any time. He can be very rash at times and make decisions without thinking about the consequences. Rem is ambitious, determined to do anything to achieve his goals. He has a strong sense of loyalty and will slaughter anyone who messes with his friends, which is another way to get him angry. His general attitude is to never get stuck up on the past, always moving forward instead.

History: From the day he was born, Rem has always loved traveling. He was part of a caravan of traders and entertainers that would do anything for money or rare items. He never got to meet his parents, neither did the other members of the caravan, he was just kind of...left somewhere. All he had with him was a boater hat. Whenever they performed, Rem was always the opening act to get the crowd ready for the rest of the more bizarre performances, hence why he had to learn a few tricks. He wasn't given much in regards to freedom, but he was at least fed enough to live. Then one day, after a performance, he met pirates. Or rather, he was kidnapped by them. They pissed him off after they stole all the money they got from the show, as well as the money the villagers had, but he didn't really care about those guys. After insulting them, they took a liking to him and decided that they'd take him as a cabin boy. Whenever Rem reflects on these events, he feels lucky that they didn't decide to kill him right then and there. He initially refused to do their chores, but after a while (and painful discipline) he came around. Once he traveled with them for a few years, he gained a weird admiration for their mannerisms, he was also much more happy to joke around with them, and they did the same. One day, while exploring an island, the Pirates returned to the ship with something with them. A devil fruit. While they were happy to find it, they suspected that the fruit was a fake, what were the odds they would actually find a fabled devil fruit? So they did what they thought was logical, they'd give it to Rem and see what happened. While they suspected that either one of two things would happen: A) the devil fruit was a fake and something funny would happen; or The fruit would be real and they'd have wasted a perfectly good fruit. This, of course, happened behind the captain's back. While he was always up for a good joke, he wasn't dumb enough to potentially waste a devil fruit for amusement, unlike his crew mates. Rem was given the fruit for "a job well done on his chores" (which was ALREADY out of character for them) and ate it. He'd never forget their faces when he blew up seconds later. Afterwards, he was forced to take a much more active role in the crew by orders of the captain, who nearly slaughtered his crew after hearing what happened, Rem suspected it was so the fruit wouldn't have gone to waste. During this time, Rem was able to learn how to fight, and his strength had increased tremendously. After a few years, Rem decided to leave the crew without a word. While he was legitimately sad to go, he felt as if he needed to start his own crew to even get recognition as a pirate. Coupled with the fact that even though he had been able to grow a lot, he felt as if he wouldn't be able to become truly powerful unless he left on his own. And thus began his journey as a rookie pirate, one who was determined to find one piece and be known worldwide as the new pirate king!

Abilities:

• Bomu Bomu no Mi: Rem consumed the Bomu Bomu no Mi, a devil fruit that allows him to blow up any part of his body and remain uninjured, and also gain immunity to any explosions. He can also tell the quality of gun powder.


• Party Tricks: During his time at the caravan, Rem had learned a few basic tricks for his performances.

Techniques:

• Explosive Combat: Rem uses his basic knowledge of combat and combines it with his devil fruit power to use bomb attacks. Once he makes contact with his enemies, he blows up the body part that made contact with them.
