The large ears atop her head twitched slightly at the Abra's mention of avoiding trouble. Avoiding trouble was good. She took a few steps closer, paws making little noise. Yes, she would go up to them. Keilan took a deep breath and walked up to stand only a few feet away. "Hello... I didn't know others were coming here..."

just curious: when might we look forward to an IC? also hi there dethran, glad you get to join in.
Keilan stretched out, slowly growing used to seeing the world from the perspective of a small Fennekin. She had been napping in a quiet, dark corner of the ruins of the Guild when a pair of voices woke her. It had seemed like a safe and calm enough place to rest. She was beginning to wonder however. Cautiously creeping around some of the ruins, she poked her nose around the corner, large eyes observing a Riolu and an Abra. Quietly, she debated herself on approaching.
If Reshiram is free, I'll take her
"Hi," Leilah muttered back with a small nervous smile, a tinge of discomfort in her words that had little to do with the Dragon's fear aura. She fell silent, though, when the Headmaster took to the stage. She tried to patiently listen as teachers continued to talk, but it was hard to focus with the feel of so many other people around her. Her mother's own fears burrowed in to her brain as surely as the same blood ran through her veins. She wanted to stop it. That was why she was here, and she had to remember that.

When the talking ended, she looked over at the boy, Syrax she had heard him say, and the other girl, briefly meeting the eyes of the latter and blinking away. She listened as the other girl introduced herself as Zandrea. Zandrea's words sounded hard, though they seemed to mean well. Her eyes flickered between the two again. Should she say something? Leilah's heart raced at the thought and she scolded herself. Not everyone could be bad. It wasn't possible. The logic didn't stop her from standing, ready to move, before she uttered another syllable. Her voice- tinged with a Middle Eastern accent- was quiet, only just loud enough to be heard and came out somewhat cooler than was often considered normal and more so than Leilah had intended, "I'm Leilah Nassar. Thank you for allowing me to sit near you both."

No worries. I toss up a quick reply in the IC and we can jump back into a collab when/if everyone's ready for such. Or the GM tells us to so he can hang all our characters by their toes. Whichever comes first.

So noted. :)
"He means what he said!" Keilan popped in, smiling. "Rhee and Lilu are twins that share a single body. It's one of the most fascinating mutations I've seen yet!"

A split second later, she sheepishly grinned at Rhee, "Sorry. Didn't mean to steal your thunder. It's just that your file was so fascinating! Welcome Mikhail, by the way. Thanks for coming. Now let's see.." The slight woman paced away for a moment, lips moving wordlessly. It seemed she was pondering over something. After a moment she exclaimed,"Yep!"

Fluttering (perhaps a bit too light of a word for what the rather large, dark wings did to carry her there, particularly with the brief wind created) to the front of the room, she turned to face the group, "Now all we need is Latia, James and Harper and I can get this ball rolling. Until then, please get to know each other!"

This time, opting not to create a room-sized mini gale, Keilan walked to the far corner of the room and picked up a small tablet. A moment later it seemed she was immersed in some kind of preparation or work, leaving the group to socialize while waiting on the others. She had been thrilled, though not particularly surprised, when she had been asked to head this particular mission. She had even more eagerly offered to take over briefing and training the chosen herself. It was a job that was often left to someone of lower rank, but she took pleasure in that sort of thing- working with new recruits, so to speak. The tablet contained most of the information for the expeditionary unit's mission. It was those details, the ones that had been denoted as declassified or important enough, as the case may have been, to be shared with the group. With her back to them, she allowed her face to grow more serious as she reviewed, green eyes darkening. She had faith this group would be able to accomplish the necessary tasks and any others that might arise. God, she hoped she was right.
oh crap. I didn't see bounce's post here until after I posted a response to our Collab in the IC...
Keilara did not hesitate to move at the orders of the older Jedi, though her mind seemed to spin at the information. Clones with the Sith and the Temple fallen? She did not want to imagine the power behind the Sith... this 'Lord Vader' the nearing troopers spoke of and she firmly denied that spark of Vahla blood that tried to ignite her mind with a slow growing greed for power like that and freedom from the Temple's Order. Vahl was nothing more than a swear to her, not a god, and no Sith was actually free, she reminded herself as she entered the secret door that the Temple Guard had opened. She seemed to naturally try to gently herd the two younger ones in before her.

She took a breath, quiet and slow, once inside the dim hall. She needed to calm herself, to restore her mind to balance and to check her fear. If she didn't she couldn't absorb the situation properly and that kind of denial or distraction could kill her. She looked at the blaster wound just above her hip and thought to herself I've proven that much already. Instead of focusing on the fear, she focused on the soft words of the pair of Knights. The boot steps grew closer but she allowed them to take a secondary place to the voices. The other was trying to formulate a plan, or perhaps guess the Guard's, but it seemed the Temple Guard already had full orders. Honor bound by duty and dying words of a master to save survivors, Keilan recalled his first words to herself and the younglings. However, it was not until she heard the direct statement that the meaning hit her fully. ... The time to fight is over, we must flee. She pushed back a wave of dizzying sickness with another soft, slow breath.

"So... It really is finished?" She exhaled the words so quietly, she wasn't sure anyone would hear. "The Temple really has fallen to the Sith?"
