"How could we not have done anything!? This is exactly what it looks like!" Kaori muffled into the sheets, slowly grabbing each item of clothing thrown around the room without exposing anything. What a thing to wake up to... Damn it, she should have seen this coming and stopped Yomi drinking after the first two bottles of sake! Why in gods name did they end up drinking 5 each?! Kaori's head was pounding, and all this commotion wasn't helping anything.
"...Wait. Should we slip out undetected or something? What if someone sees?"
"...My... Great-great-great grandmother's eyes? ...Well, ...thank you!" Rei slowly came to terms with what the old Mage had just told her. Yaozu's damnable nudging could be addressed later. This was where she seriously reconsidered viewing him as 'wise', and instead took to the belief that he might be a little nuts. Wait, hadn't she met him before? Yes... She was very young, but the man's face hadn't changed one bit since that day. He'd been discussing something with her father in Shizukesa, but Rei and Kirai were too busy play fighting in the Citadel gardens to take much notice of the grown ups.
"Lord... Arkaos? I hope I got the name correct, Sir. It really is a pleasure to meet you for real. Your apprentice is in safe hands," Rei said much more politely, almost apologetically as she took a short bow for the Master.
Aura smiled cheerfully at Abaddon's words and offered up her little finger, for what could only be seen as a pinkie promise. Young and naive as she was, she could imagine there were hard times ahead. People were going to get hurt, friend and foe, and Aura was going to be there protecting those she had to. "And I promise to help all of you in any way I can! Master taught me a lot about helping people with magic!"
"Neko-chan?!" Hayleigh dropped her jaw at the newcomer, following Koichi's casual observation. Yet another animal-thingy, but this fellow looked eerie as fuck! This was all making her rather flustered. Being that they were all apparently in danger was making all this worse, too. These were feelings and.. well, happenings you just couldn't dream up! It was hard to accept, but Hayleigh continued on, striding behind the only one she trusted absolutely 100% at the moment - her brother, Arthur.
His eyes were flicking around the group as they spoke, but they rested the longest on the ones who'd called themselves Connor and Adam. Police, ...so they were distant allies to him. He wondered if the older one knew him, but it was unlikely. Arthur tipped the law enforcement off wherever he could, always made sure to leave the scene or observe from somewhere nice and out of the way. It was doubtful they had anything on him, so he gave up that suspicion and focused on his sister, who was following behind him.
"Relax. If somebody wanted to end us all, they would've done it by now." Arthur murmured, causing the brunette to slow in her pace and calm a little.
(This took way too long and is way too small. FORGIVE ME! *Prepares to commit seppuku*)
So, I have this idea...
You know how urban centres and any populated areas around them would likely become deathtraps in the event a random zombie outbreak happened? I was thinking, why not have a large group of survivors go make their home somewhere remote? Somewhere not easy to access, far from civilisation so that they'd have to.. make their own little civilisation! And while the world descends into chaos, then later the seemingly eternal aftermath of the outbreak, these people would be as cushy as can be under their circumstances. They'd venture out for old world stuff like books, clothes and essential supplies to be able to support another generation, be able to grow food and that kind of thing. This thing would happen say.. maybe twenty or so years after the outbreak? (And somehow the walking corpses wouldn't be rotted away yet!) They might form different sections of the community - fighters, keepers of knowledge, those who work to keep everything flowing and whatnot. Wouldn't detail it too much unless this thing really took off!
And so I leave it there, ...and ask if anyone's interested yet? o_o
"You should both be a little scared," Lucia joined in, floating up beside the two and hanging on to the railing so she wouldn't drift away. It was strange... Just three weeks ago, she was 'green' - but now that she'd fought in two battles and had been lucky enough to survive, she was considered a seasoned pilot. Three weeks ago she wouldn't even think of giving anyone advice... "You two need to know what we're up against. I'm not going through the trouble of setting up a mock battle with a bunch of training gear - you have to know your enemy. Trying to simulate the chaos just isn't going to work. Come with me," she pulled herself past Akira and Xanotos using the railings before pushing herself towards a door that led to the Minerva's interior. They would be headed to the briefing room...
"...So, where did you two come from? Any family? Reasons for joining ZAFT as pilots? Favourite colours?" Lucia started friendily chatting to them along the way. So she wasn't a cold person, just kind of serious on these matters of war. Couldn't blame her for it, not after the hell Aotisa Team barely pulled themselves through... These new guys were taking the place of two green-uniform pilots, but they were still more experienced than the new Reds. The inside of Cradle 2, 'Prosperity', was so Earth-like. There was even a sky that decieved the eyes of all those staring up at it. Cutting edge technology made life in this massive colony craft seem so.. real! Thousands of homes, shops, farms, factories. This place even had it's own miniature sea for colony residents to go fishing in, or sunbathing at the beach! It was truly a magnificent sight to behold... At least, until Izumi saw the people. Children, parents, ...innocent lives. Her heart sank, and something blocked off her throat as a wave of realization came over her. It was her job to keep them all alive, even if it cost her own. The ETs would stop at nothing to kill every man, woman and child on board the Cradles. It wasn't an inspiring sight anymore - Izumi dreaded the idea of having to see everyone here die because the fleet couldn't hold their own.
"Zer.." Izumi cleared her throat and turned her gaze to the city in front of them, "Boss, let's get going huh? We've got shopping to do~" she said, her tone and expession definitely got brighter at her mention of shopping!

In desperate situations it can be used as a blunt offhand weapon. :: A handy rope, because "Ya' never know when you might need it!" :: A warm scarf, not much else to be said there :: A triple-gem necklace which apparently has a lot of personal value to Aria Backstory/Personality: After the Great War there were still factions who continued to fight against the Thalmor, to keep their lands free from the greedy mitts of the Dominion. A small community of rare Akaviri people were one of few groups of open resistance fighters just outside of Western Cyrodiil. Along with the Imperial and Redguard Resistance movements, they waged a guerrilla war on any Aldmeri Dominion supply convoys or troops that passed through their lands. Needless to say, this considerably pissed off the Thalmor... Their response was a mass murder. While the resistance forces were baited away to deal with a small Aldmeri army, Thalmor agents rode into settlements known to house the rebel soldiers and killed everybody. Men, women and children were slaughtered, regardless of their involvement with the resistance. The settlements were torched. The soldiers were then killed in an ambush on their way home. There were no survivors of the 'purge'... Save for one.
Koizumi Aria. Born to a pureblood Akaviri mother and a Breton father she never knew, the little wannabe-Blade was liked by many of her teachers and elders for her fiery spirit. The kid enjoyed to play fight with all her friends, pretending they were soldiers, but she would have no idea what true cost war had until the Thalmor came... Cradled in her dying mother's arms until the Thalmor left, Aria was the sole survivor of the Akaviri massacre. She was left there, alone, in the burned down sanctuary in which she grew up. The people she knew and loved were all dead. The poor child sat and cried for hours on end, unable to do anything, without knowing where to go or what to do. Her life had come to a complete standstill, and if somebody didn't happen along and find her, she probably would have died waiting in the graveyard village. As fortune would have it, an Akaviri man who hadn't been present at the time of the massacre came to check out the smoking ruin. He found little Aria crying amongst the corpses and convinced her to leave with him, to go somewhere safe.
Since that day, Aria was in constant training as a member of the Imperial Resistance. It so turned out that the man who'd found her was a Blademaster, who knew and practiced the Akaviri sword styles with great proficiency. By the age of twelve, Aria was skilled enough to mock-kill all of her fellow initiates with a wooden sword. By the age of sixteen, she and her friends were true Resistance members. Again, war was waged on the Aldmeri Dominion and Thalmor troops in attempt to push them out of Cyrodiil and Daggerfall. With no family ties or bonds outside of the resistance, there was very little space for the Aldmeri to fight back against their highly effective enemy. The only option was to commit a full military campaign against the rebels, to find their hideout and to destroy them completely. This escalated conflict quickly stole many of Aria's comrades from her, leaving only a handful of young war heroes. Due to her size and nearly innocent appearance at the time, the Thalmor and the Resistance took to calling her 'Rabbit'. This soon became paired with 'Red' or 'Bloody'. Nobody could understand how the youth was so talented in battle, and it scared the hell out of friend and foe. Aria was such an infamous killer because she had nothing else left...
Times changed, the war couldn't go anywhere. The Resistance wouldn't be destroyed, and the Thalmor definitely wouldn't back down. By the time she was eighteen, Aria had already lost too many beloved comrades to skirmishes with the enemy. And around the same time, her teacher, the Blademaster, was captured and executed in public. War was tiring on her mind and soul, so she did what she felt she had to - she left to try and start a new life, where perhaps she might not feel haunted by death every waking minute. She changed her surname to her apparent father's and cut most of her ties with the resistance movement. A year passed by, and she decided to start up the Odd Jobs in Whiterun. Doing people a service would make her look so much calmer and at ease with the world. But on the inside, Aria will never change, and she'll never forget the death or the losses. They weigh on her heart, but it doesn't show anymore.

They were an inseparable bunch throughout their training, until they were old enough to fight and got put to the test in battle with Thalmor enforcers... Their bond was strained. For four years they fought, losing friends at every turn. Aria Koizumi the 'Bloody Rabbit', Haruyoshi Sano the 'Wind of Death' and Lucian the Pale were the only three who are still alive to this day. Haru is the only one of the three who continues to strike at the Thalmor.
Aria and Haru both being of Akaviri origin has bonded them as close friends since the moment they met as children of war. Together they were the best swords in the Resistance... Of course, they would never settle on who was 'officially' the best and would usually end up fighting over the title. As the war went on, Aria grew more distant to everyone emotionally, and instead became very protective of each them without a word said. Haru couldn't understand it until the day she left - she had failed to defend her friends, that's why she couldn't stay and lose Haru as well.
But, to this day, Sano Haruyoshi remains one of the most skilled fighters in the Resistance movement. Haru's group has been moved to Skyrim, where there is a large Thalmor presence. Keeping their base of operations a secret, they begin to strike whenever they can.

So I'm kind of just going to copy/paste what the old OOC main post was! Might fix it when I'm not tired...
Introduction -
It is a turbulent time for Tamriel. With the end of the Great War between the Empire and the Aldmeri Dominion, tensions are running high across the lands. The unfair treaty was signed to end active hostilities; the 'White Gold Concordat' made Talos worship a crime, riling the Nords against the Elves further. Skyrim has descended into civil war now, thanks to Jarl Ulfric Stormcloak murdering High King Torygg. The Stormcloaks prepare to march into open war against most of the other Jarls, whom have accepted assistance from the Imperial Legion. One mild spark could set the country ablaze... All the while this is happening, the Thalmor stick their noses into the Empire's business as 'ambassadors', 'advisors' and the like, as if to fool anyone that they're trying to help the world recover. They spy, watching the Empire like predators circling their wounded prey.
And to top off the lasting tensions, DRAGONS have begun to return! Everything is a mess, and people are certainly going to start biting it in the coming war...
...But throwing all that seriousness out of the window; in Whiterun, a new business has opened in space of what was once Breezehome, a small two-floored house for sale. It was converted into a shop, but with a layout seemingly for meetings. It was a newcomer to the town who bought it, a young lady named Aria Draconis. She redesigned the place and nailed a sign above the door. 'Odd Jobs' as it's called will apparently deal with any request brought their way, be it bandit control or simple carpentry, just about anything! If you have a request, why not pay Odd Jobs a visit...?
OOC Note: I said in the int. check that this is very non-canon stuff. Tamriel is our sandbox, but don't go above and beyond reason. ^_^ This means I'll allow new races, maybe some new kinds of magic, creatures and whatnot... But all within reason. I'd also like you all to remember, ...I really have no intention of this being ultra super srs TES at all - this is in fact supposed to be more anime-ish than anything else.
Ah, and one more thing. This could start either with characters in the Odd Jobs group, or they could eventually join up somehow. It's up to you, but either way I hope it'll be fun. x3 Of course, this doesn't mean hold back on characters that aren't 'mains'.

"When are you not fired up, dude?" Blaze called down from the roof of the train station, an excitable smirk visible on her face as she waited for Iggy to get closer. She dropped down, summoning those wings of flame so she could hover off the ground. It'd just prevent the kid from breaking her legs when she landed properly. "This should be interestin'. We haven't been on a job together for a while now, and having the new guy along should make it more fun~!" Blaze clapped her hands together as the wings disappeared.
