"He's outlived his usefulness anyway... Being a snitch just adds to the penalty he receives, don't you think?" Johnny questioned nobody in particular as he stood from his throne, typically located in the middle of the town where everyone could see him. It wasn't really a seat of power - it was like his execution stand for those he deemed unworthy of serving the cause any longer... Whatever that cause was. Oh yes, to get rich on other people's blood, sweat and tears! "I'm not going to kill him. That was the penalty for becoming a weakling and grovelling about his pathetic hardships, but he snitched - and now it's more than likely somebody knows about our operation here. Now, what's worse than death...? Anyone care to enlighten the poor fellow?" he asked, as he looked around at his subordinates with a sinister grin. What was worse than death? They all knew what was coming. The poor man didn't know, but the fear was plastered all over his face, he shook as Johnny stood before him. The Darkness Master's arms extended outwards as he prepared to cast a spell, with a rising pressure that felt absolutely sickening.

"You won't be dead, but eternally trapped among the other pained souls. You'll try to claw your way out of the blackness, but you will never make it. Your soul belongs to me, worm. Genesis Zero...!" Suddenly, the darkness magic erupted from Johnny's arms and shot forward, seemingly eating the townsman alive, not even a scream as the blob of dark energy engulfed him and disappeared again at the flick of Johnny's fingers.

"That never gets old. Anyway, I'd like everyone to be on their guard. Prepare for our guests' arrival, we should accommodate these 'official Mages' properly when they show up." Johnny said as he fell back into his throne, licking his fingers as if he'd eaten the man's soul himself.

Mike and Kaze left without hesitation.
"I've never greeted anyone so violently~!" Kaze laughed as if she had no part in this whole evil-dark-guild-terrorizing-mischief. "This is going to be fun!"
Mike rolled his eyes boredly at the woman as they strolled through the deserted streets. He just wanted something to attack. The guy hadn't killed anything in at least a week now...! Guild Mages might even be a challenge, he thought to himself.
Blaze shivered after she hopped off the train, landing behind Iggy and Torie. The kid felt something far away, but damned if she knew what it was... It didn't feel good though, that was for sure. Shoving her hands in her jacket pockets, she began walking with the two, eyes narrowed as she watched their surroundings for movement.

"...So wait, if it's a dark guild, that means there should be more than three of them right? And there's only three of us- Ah, whatever! I'm sure we can handle this," Blaze resolved cheerfully, almost beginning to skip.
OH GOD ANOTHER NEW OPENING <3

Also, I'm good to post now! ...So I shall be doing so right now!
I'll have something up by tonight, Sep!
Only then as Cronic mentioned burns, did Aria notice that.. she didn't even get a lick of flame. That was lucky! Lucky, or would it be more feasible to say her destructive proficiency in battle hadn't worn off after only one year. And at his following words on not getting any credit for their part last night, she raised an eyebrow. They were probably in the same boat - you didn't have to dwell on matters of insecurity long to realise it: the Thalmor had a massive "to kill" list. Skyrim was full of Talos worshipers, prominent people who'd fought the Dominion in the Great War, and there was definitely Resistance and Blade remnants lying around. That, and everything interesting that happened in Tamriel's northernmost country caught the attention of those Altmer bastards.

"...Yeah, let's hope. So you're not on good terms with the supreme overlords either, are ya'?" Aria chuckled.
I's real lenient on things, but waiting for approval is always good! ^_^

"We are gathered here today to give our respect and raise a pint of mead to the brave warriors who volunteered to fight off the recent dragon attacks on our city watch posts, and the village of Riverwood. The Companions have done Whiterun proud once again, defending it's people and territory without hesitation. Kodlak Whitemane has asked for no reward, as slaying a dragon pays for itself in honour!"

Jarl Balgruuf the Greater... It's not that he had forgotten the Odd Jobs' part in defending Riverwood, but Aria herself had asked him not to refer to the business. The Companions could have all the glory; there wasn't anything Aria wanted but the coin. Being a big deal with the Thalmor around just wasn't very safe - one look in their priority targets book and they could find her half-peaceful little life here in Whiterun. Then they would kill her, her partner, and burn the shop down just for the giggles of it all. At least, that's what Aria saw happening the moment she got discovered. The coin was enough of a reward... Heck, it'd be Cronic's pay finally, seeing as she hadn't quite caught up with that yet.
After the street crowd began returning to their daily business, Aria entered the shop and took her place at the front desk, feet kicked up and arms thrown lazily behind her head. One arm found it's way to her pocket, which she took the purse from. Balgruuf sure was generous for someone trying to head a Hold so torn between Empire and Rebellion... "Cronic, catch," the redhead yawned as she lobbed the bag of septims somewhere behind her.

"Now all I need is R&R... Dragon fights are such a pain."
Yhup, it's winter IC. Let's call it January of 2032. ^_^
God my head hurts ._.
Not gonna post right nao. Pretty tired :c
But if my head doesn't feel like a ton weight in the morning, I'll be posting to this early as I can.
IC'd. Probably not the best I could do, and it was overdue a while. And I haven't even finished the CSs yet... I'll do that in the morning if my head doesn't feel like a ton weight ^_^
It was all quiet at the edge of the tree line. There was a corrugated iron shack for an outpost, where a team of Hunters kept a constant watch across the open fields surrounding the forest-based settlement. In all there were five of these lookout posts, from above they'd look like a pentagram-shaped perimeter. The safety of the people of Sanctuary was the highest priority, so having armed people at lookout posts for any visitors - friendly, hostile or undead - was a problem solved during the first weeks of the settlement's existence. Even if the town itself had some awesome walls to keep nasties out, it was better if nothing threatening reached those walls at all.

As the shifts changed on the Northern post, the guards would shake hands and exchange a few words about activity on the perimeter. The most commonly used phrase was, "Ain't jackshit out there." That's exactly how it went, and now the Hunters' newest recruit was going to learn a thing or two. Watching the line with her big brother would be fun, wouldn't it? It's not like these guys actually did anything but sit around playing cards, right?

"Now, this is our job. We watch, we don't see anything? We stay put. We do see something.. hostile? We hunt it. Head on a swivel, eyes focused on even the slightest twitch out beyond our treeline. Lives depend on it, Lucy. It's your first day so we'll just give you some pointers, teach you how to use some of the equipment."

Daniel and his sister came to the fire at the little shack for a watch stand, warming up as best they could. It was winter - a hard time for a self-sustaining settlement such as Sanctuary. The Hunters probably had the worst of it though. They stayed at their outposts even in blizzards, nothing but a fire, warm clothes and a not-so-sheltered shelter to keep them toasty and dry.

It was going to be a long watch... The weather wasn't getting worse, but something just felt off today. Well, to Daniel anyway. Dan's semi-automatic M21 was wrapped up in cloth for the season. He rested it against the wall of the corrugated iron shack, followed by his sister Lucy doing the same with her basic M4 - they wouldn't give the kid anything bigger for now. Now was a good time to show Lucy how to spot properly, before she could shoot properly.

(So, I'll spill it - something bad gets to happen at this outpost in particular! You can start here, or wherever you'd like.)
