The high-pitched roar of the TIEs rang through the air as they passed over the city. Yet another eventless air patrol in the dull skies of Belona... Still, it was a welcome change for one of the four pilots up there. For the last few months, the light carrier Dreadful had been assigned to a small escort fleet, defending supply and trade convoys near Hutt space. Pirates crazy enough took no hesitation to try and catch the escorts off guard, but the TIEs were always on station, hitting back before any real damage was done. ...Constantly watching scanners for unidentified craft was making Anya more and more paranoid! The rookie still had nothing on the discipline that her fellow pilots had - they all seemed like they could care less when under fire, and nobody seemed to really give a damn when Daryll bought it as the only casualty during their trade escort posting.

The comm channel was absolutely silent, and Anya could hear only the muffled roar of her own fighter and her own breathing through her mask. Patrol or no, silence was expected of the small squadron until alert, or if the lead was giving instruction... Yep.

"Patrol - we've passed Point Cresh. The final waypoint is home. Eyes peeled. I don't want a clean report, if you see something suspicious or out of the ordinary, I want it called out so I can decide its worth!" the Lieutenant said clearly over the comm channel. Though his voice was rough and grizzled, it still held that pristine Imperial accent. He was the only one on the team who'd adopted it, but perhaps he came from a noble family or something along those lines. Anya and the LT's other subordinates would probably never change, but you totally didn't need to put on your best classy voice when you became an Officer... Right? It might help though.

"You're thinking about nothing again," Anya told herself first, before checking that she wasn't transmitting anything. Fortunately there would be no snapping over the channel just for a little infraction, as she was on mute. Last thing she needed was an angry LT - he was a veteran, patriotic, and had a very short fuse. At least this flight was nearly over... Anya was looking forward to some Caf and a little time to chill out once they got back to base. Without any random stops along the way to recon things that looked, but probably were not suspicious, it should only take a matter of minutes.
I'll be postin' tonight! Usually it's just the first one that's difficult to get through, then the rest are nice n' fun to write.
The Thalmor's defiant, insane smile suddenly wore off as he took an arrow straight to the arm. He flinched, dropping the dagger before he could kill the girl. She was quick to run out of the way the moment his grip released, and for some reason, looted something from the other hooded Thalmor as fast as she could.

The Altmer bobbed away from Serena's punch and immediately went after the girl, ignoring the fact that he might be killed at any second now. He went to grab her to use her as a shield yet again, but... there was no physical entity anymore. He kept trying to grab hold of her collar after she became a transparent blue. It was plastered all over his face now - he knew he was doomed now. The Miko slowly turned to face him, revealing an amulet glowing brightly in her ethereal form. She shook her head apologetically, shutting her eyes as she didn't want to watch him die.

...Being in this form would prevent Yuki being splashed with the Thalmor's blood, also!
"Tasukete!!" The girl cried in her native tongue at Serena, her bright blue eyes fixed on the arrowhead. No doubt she could take out the Thalmor in a quick, clean shot at this range. But as soon as she released the arrow, Yuki would be killed. Was this saviour really going to get her killed for revenge? ...Yes, she could understand the language in Tamriel - but for now she was a strange, foreign child. Until she could trust anyone on the continent, she'd be that Akaviri Miko.

"Shut up!" The Thalmor growled, not taking his eyes off Serena for even a second. If he lost concentration, he was a dead man. He wasn't even blinking, totally oblivious to the fact that his captive was now crying in fear for her life. It was so cold, her tears didn't even make it all the way down her cheeks. "...Hah. You can't do it, can you? You can't have her blood on your hands, can you?!" The Thalmor cackled.
"Damned if he wasn't holding back... But thanks for the save anyway, new g- ...nah. Torie!" Blaze chirped, pulling her shoulder into his, before turning her attention to the castle as she heard the sounds of battle coming through the walls. She could only imagine her best pal beating the snot out of some generic evil guy. He'd be all muscly, crazy and have black hair, ...and a moustache! A really evil one! The girl began to run off without really realising it, despite the pains from metal shards - some of which were still stuck in. The promise of another challenging fight was all she needed to will herself toward the scene - Iggy was fighting after all!

"Hey, you didn't get to see Iggy and Mimi fight. Now's your chance to see a Dragon Slayer kicking ass, Torie! Th-the iron dude didn't count...!" Blaze stuttered, hesitant to admit she got beat.
Things were going just swell, right up until the Spirits were summoned to support the boy. Reaver didn't expect wool of all things to hold against the swing of the scythe, the attack he'd hoped to end this battle with by taking Igneel's head. With the Dragon Slayer calling out humanoid goat-like spirit to fight, Reaver began to move back as he blocked and dodged the powerful hand-to-hand barrage using the pole of the scythe. He kept his footing in the retreat, his concentration was set on finding a way to beat back Capricorn before his master decided to make a move. Unfortunately for Reaver, the very moment Capricorn hopped back Iggy crashed into his chest head-first, like a damned torpedo. The result was Reaver finally showing a grimace in pain for one, but the attack launched him back to the other end of the hall, smashing into the wall opposite Iggy and Capricorn.

The Dark Mage pulled himself out of the rubble, growling as he let primal rage consume him, fueling the darkness magic that now surrounded him in a large aura. He wasn't done. Reaver now wanted nothing more than to end Igneel, and then those friends of his whom he could sense were still alive after Kinzoku departed.

"No... No! This time I'll show the Council the true extent of my power! You'll kneel before me and beg me to kill you before this is over!" Reaver roared as he sent a wave of darkness racing across the hall, aiming to consume Iggy underneath it like a miniature tidal wave. The result would be pain, obviously, but this magic was as alive as water - he would drown underneath it if he was caught, but his suffering would go on for what felt like eternity while in reality only a few seconds might pass. Best way to survive? The ceiling.

...Genesis Zero still wasn't being used. Reaver wanted to break his enemy before confining him to a prison of consumed souls.
...And in the case this character is accepted, Regulus is totally not a magic anyone but Leo knows! ^_^
Regulus is a Leo-exclusive variation of Light magic I think. ^_^ Just throwing that out thar.
Fixed/improved on the backstory. Sounds like I put some actual detail in it now. xD
Either a secondary char, or Anya ends up changing sides early on... I'll see what characters we get first, then see if I should add a ground unit to the Rebels or Imperials.

And I think that little part about 'liberating Belona' was the only screwup I made in the CS, right? Changed it to casual patrols~ ^^
