John turned to face Stars. "Why would you help us? I can't take you back to our group, they wouldn't accept you. They would lock you up, and try to pull you out of that persons body you're occupying. So you help me, I can't give nothing in return" John said, opening his car door and climbing in. "This is where we shall part ways, I bid you both a good day, and good luck" He said with a smile, happy he didn't have to use the weapon he carried around with him today.

John lowered his pistol, and eventually put it away. He listened to Stars. "What are you saying? You feel what we feel? You're becoming more like us? Then you should know, the seekers won't win. For as long as you feel like us. They won't win" John said as he looked back to Danny. "Well I guess this is where we part ways. You guys go on, and I'll go ours" John said, pointing towards to the small group with him. "Good luck" He smiled as he walked back to the drivers seat of his car.

John looked at the pair, they were human. That's how they appeared, until they got closer and he saw the girls eyes. His hand rested on the gun on his hip. "Stay back, you have one of those seekers. You brought a seeker to us. But.. You're human, and she's not? What's going on here? Are you helping them capture other humans?" John asked, pulling the pistol out and aiming it. "I'm not a killer, but for somebody who helps to end our race to theirs. I can make an exception on that account. You've got some explaining to do"

John was with a small group. The group used to be bigger, but they had to split as the seekers found them, and hunted them. Half the group was probably occupied by souls now, but this half was trying to survive as best they could. The group had seeked refuge in an old abandoned railway yard last, but they needed to move on. John had taken a few members of the group with him, to scout ahead, and go in search of supplies, they couldn't easily walk into a store and buy food any more. Seekers were looking for them. They were pushed back to a time before, a time almost forgotten. When humans had to hunt and gather. Food had to be caught and brought back, or you didn't eat. It was a tough time, but needs must meant they had to.

John was driving the first car, with another behind him. Any more and they'd bring more attention to themselves, which was to be avoided if possible. John stopped the car, reaching the desert. He saw a fire and people sat by it. More humans, must have been. Seekers don't stop to appreciate the warm fire. They stay indoors when it gets later. Doing as they're told. Experiencing the sides of human life they only know about. John stepped out the car, he had a gun on his belt, but never liked using it. It was for safety, and for himself if he was caught. He wasn't being taken by them. John honked the horn of his car, getting their attention, before waving the pair over.

Sam smiled as the pup took a liking to John. She gave the pup a stroke "If he bites you, I'll take him back. Okay?" Sam smiled, and then crouched down. "No biting, at all. Okay? And no biting Lauren, you have to get her to like you. She's my Sister and means a lot to me, okay?" Sammy said to the pup and then smiled at John. "Sorry, I had to say that. Even if it doesn't understand me"

"We're clear?" Nathan asked, double checking. "Let's get a move on, before something else shows up, and we're in a worse place than the watchmen"

"Hey! That was naughty" Sam said to the small creature as it bit her sister. "We don't bite, okay" Sam said, telling the creature off and then looking at her Sister. "Sorry, are you okay?" She asked, pulling out a bandage and offering it to Lauren. "I didn't think it would do that, at least not to you, any of the others, sure, but not you" Sam said, putting the pup down. "You can walk for that" She smiled.
