All Together Now (Superhero Team RP)

Great work so far, guys! Progress on the OOC is coming along, should be done in the next day or so. In addition, though I won't be accepting any characters until the deadline is over, I'm going to try to provide some feedback for the people who've posted CS's already - we'll call that a bonus for promptness. If I provide a note, it doesn't mean that I don't like the character or that you have no chance of being accepted as is, I'm just trying to help you make your character the very best it could be.

What a fun character! I really like the energy and the sense of fun and adventure that bleeds through in the writing style. My main note is that I'm not super clear about the stand's powers - maybe it's because I don't know anything about Jojo, but the rating system ended up being kind of confusing in practice and I'm not entirely sure what the 'vegetal material' power actually does, so you could stand to make that clearer and just describe what the stand itself is capable of rather than using the rating system.

Another great character! I was hoping we'd have a submission like this, kind of a grittier, more low-to-the-ground vigilante type of hero. I only have one point of concern, which is the implication that his sister is just as powerful as he is and lives with him - this doesn't really need to be changed if it's an important part of the character, but it could stand to be elaborated on if it's the case.

Really cool concept for a character, I like the idea of him as this ringleader of heroic metas as well as the really personal civil war story between all the empowered individuals born of this single event. I have two notes, the first of which is that you could beef up his power level if you wanted (not necessary, but you can), the second is that you could tweak some of the writing to make it read a bit smoother - there's some repetition, some unnecessary adverb usage, some 'to' and 'too' confusion, stuff like that. If you want to shoot me a PM, I'd be happy to go over some of this stuff in greater detail, or not - you can let me know.

So, aside from the fact that this is a superhero RP and your character seems to be a villain, this doesn't really fit the idea of backstory as an 'origin story' because there doesn't seem to be much in the way of plot in her backstory. I'd definitely retool that, work her into a more heroic character, and maybe downplay the extent to which she's a ditzy cheerleader stereotype? That last one is optional, but I think it might help her develop into a more human, realistic character.

Lupo's great! Like with The Tower above, I was hoping we'd get this kind of grittier character more rooted in intrigue than high-flying adventure. I don't have any real notes per se, though I think you could benefit from expanding on his appearance section into exactly how he looks 'wolfish' - we get a better look at that in his backstory, but for simplicity's sake it's nice to have that in the appearance section when other people are writing a post and checking how your character looks.

Really great work all around, guys. I'm already dreading having to choose!

I guess I could have her be an anti-hero, or perhaps she just doesn't have her luck go from bad to worse? A lot of her backstory was purely just bad luck. I mean, she would potentially help people if there was a need. Think of her like the Hulk in a sense. Basically anger and stress makes her enlarge. Her powers revolve around her emotions and can be "trigged" at joy, sadness, anger, and fear. However, the problem with her is I've made her 'at the start'. Meaning she really is a rogue and by herself at this point. Oh, and she's wanted for her little outbursts. I've been for a while trying to find a group she could perhaps fit in. However, she could be one of those heroes who start off doing bad, but reform. That's an option. As far as her intelligence, it is sort of at "struggles with subjects" level. Like, she never would become a professor or anything, but she can do what normal people can do.

Appearance
Normally, Lulissa looks like average blond lady with blew eyes and very much like the body of a former cheerleader would have. She was naturally born only slightly taller than average, for a woman that is. Yet this drastically changes when her powers are unleashed.Lulissa also likes to dress up in girly clothing and in flamboyance.



Costume
Lulissa isn't that bright, so she doesn't really dress up in a secret identity all to well other than perhaps wearing something like glasses, a coat, or anything to make her look moderately in incognito. However, pretty much she is very easy to spot if you've seen her before. Her costume however consists of disconnected articles of clothing in pink with green trimming. She also likes to dress up with skirts and things that make her more noticeable or cute.

Personality
Lulissa is a young and energetic woman. She comes off as rather girly and playful often when communicating with others, sometimes to the point of annoyance. While she isn't the brightest of individuals she is known to be brave and strangely loyal to those she opens up to. She can be mean sometimes when angered and isn't above attacking and killing her foes.

Backstory
As a child Lulissa was always mocked due to her lack of intelligence. While she was quite capable of preforming minimal and routine tasks that normal people could do and was quite gifted at dance and culinary arts she was still belittled due to her inability to match up with her fellow students in terms of academia At most she would receive average grades and worst she would come home with c-‘s at best. About the only class she really excelled in was gym class, where she was known to be very athletic and one of the quickest in terms of reflexes, eventually leading her to becoming a cheerleader.

However that all changed when she accidentally inhaled a strange top secret chemical from a leak near Atlanta’s Center for Disease Control center. While many thought this was a terrorist attack shortly after 9/11 and she was forced to be tested for biological agents such as anthrax, secretly the people in charge of the CDC were working on a top secret chemical that could be used to give someone a benign and non-malicious form of super cancer that would alter the subjects’ very on DNA to turn them into what the US government believed could be considered “super soldiers”. Lulissa was cleared by the CDC to not be infected by any form of life threatening ailment and released publicly.

Once she came back to school however word had spread of this incident and people became cautious that she was still contaminated. Soon her social life dwindled and eventually she was so upset that she quit her school’s cheerleading squad. Eventually though she started to notice she had become larger and taller when angered. While at first she just thought she was still going through puberty eventually at one point she grew so large that her head broke through the roof of her house. At first she became worried but later on she was able to control it and revert herself back to normal.

An incident happened at school that would forever lead Lulissa down the path of villainy. She returned to school one day only to find that she was replaced in her position in the cheer squad by her rival, Becky. Lulissa became furious about these events transpiring that her anger fueled her new found powers to where she grew up to 13ft. Still agitated Lulissa burst through a wall of her school and stomped over towards the football field where the other cheerleaders were rehearsing. As Lulissa approached them she grew larger and larger until she was no less than 30ft tall.

The girls saw her approach and frantically tried to flee from her, however Lulissa was able to grab hold of Becky and bring her up to her face. She intimidated Becky so much that the young woman passed out in fright. Lulissa then realized what she did and looked behind her to see that she had totaled several cars from the school’s parking lot to the field and caused other damage. Worried that she would get into more trouble Lulissa put Becky down and ran away to hide from the police. Eventually this event would follow her down her life as she became more in more trouble with the law until she decided that a life of crime and villainy was her fate.

Superpowers

Abilities:
At normal female size Lulissa possesses above average strength and is able to take on people larger and more muscular than herself. She is also known to possess a talent for cooking and dance as well. Lulissa’s main potential shows when she uses her powers to enlarge herself to become a towering and proportionate giantess thus giving her superior strength and endurance fare beyond natural human levels. Once she reaches a certain size threshold she literally can deflect bullets with her body!

Weaknesses:
Lulissa possesses many of the weaknesses found in her previous version, she is slower in reflexes when giant sized and able to be avoided in attacks. She is lousy against aircraft and her only real defense is to swat at aircraft in the hope of hitting them. She must eat larger portions of food in order to keep her super form fueled and prevent herself from reverting back to her “normal” form during battle when she’s hungry. Lulissa is vulnerable to basically any unconventional type of weaponry that isn’t just bullets or other kinetic based weaponry.Finally Lulissa's mortal weakness, her lack of planning and strategy can be taken advantage of. Lulissa really doesn't have any evil plan or scheme other than using her physical might to get what she wants and thus can be easily outwitted or tricked.

Talents and Interests
Dancing, cheerleading, athletic, running, very hands on things, dressing up, socializing. (Pretty much average teenage/ college activities for a cheerleader type woman.)
