The skies darkened off in the distance from the city of Westopolis, off in the far outskirts of the city clouds of smoke and ash were seen fuming in the nearby eastern country side as the signs of battle and inevitable invasion was seen off in the distance. It has been several weeks after Sonic's falling in battle and the Egg Empire hadn't relented in seizing this once in a lifetime opportunity to actually push the advantage from the Resistance and the Guardian Units of Nation's forces. After almost an entire month of long and bloody battle against the forces of the Egg Empire, the United Federation's holdings have been pushed back by the advancing Egg armies and now the GUN forces were on the defensive.
Off in the clouds Egg Hawks and Egg Mobiles could be seen as they approached the city in tight formation, on the ground the advancing badnik hordes, met with Egg Pawns of various sizes and Swatbots were slowly clanking in formation towards the city. Meanwhile, many citizens were unaware of the dire flames of war that would soon to be ignited into their fair city. While United Federation High Command have heightened the potential risk of an incursion, thus far there hadn't been an actual offensive into the city, that would soon change however.
Things were calm, eerily calm as most citizens had no idea the amassing of forces upon their eastern border. Things were just as they were normally, however this was all soon to change.
Far out in the sky however, an Egg Carrier was slowly behind the advancing forces even further from the city. Yet it was still in view as it slowly approached. The massive and yet functional transport and command ship omnivorously hovered closer and closer to the city. It's crew however, were stationed inside and it was potentially a flagship directing their forces.
"What a stroke of luck we've had this couple of several weeks doctor, just think. Finally Sonic is out of commission and our efforts and successes have tripped with his meddlesome friends in complete disarray!" A feminine voice said within a command bridge to a holographic projection.
"That is true my dear, with Sonic finally off the field our team is about to land a homerun!"An all to familiar, masculine and boastful unpleasant voice stated.
"True, with the United Federation not having their savior at his operational level, now would be the perfect time for us to strike while the iron is hot." The female voice stated in an eastern accent.
"It's always been a hindrance to have to deal with that rodent, yet it's an odd sense of hollowness and a wanting of nostalgia with him being out of commission. That of course, is your job to remedy of this ailment, Dr.Daniel."The voice stated.
"Of course sir, I merely need my orders." The female voice replied back.
"While Infinite is busy in Spagonia, I want you to lead the charge into Westopolis, and by that I want you to command my forces to decimate those fools in the United Federation!" The unpleasant voice coming from a projection of a tall and rather plump man in goggles demanded.
"As you say, I shall not fail you. Sir." The female voice replied with the upmost respect.
"You better not, I give you a lot of leave-way in my Empire for a contracted mercenary, Daniel. Then again, you're in the same boat as Infinite."
