Channel 12 News June 7th, 2016

The news report today was boring as always, nothing but politics being talked about. The reporter then switched over to the sports topics, giving a small amount of interest to the skater. He shrugged, looking at it half asleep.

"In other news, the local skate park has been closed down. Mayor Gladys has proposed a new super mall to be built in place, along with a movie theater and gas station across the street where the baseball field is. He says that this mall will bring new job opportunities to hundreds of people and hopefully getting more people to move in. Vice Point is slowly but surely becoming a bigger city now."

The skater sat up in shock, angered at the news. He got up, grabbing his skateboard and heading out to the local skate park. When he arrived, it was already overrun by construction. He sighed and left, heartbroken and angered.

Channel 12 News July 17th, 2017

Skaters have been "outlawed" ever since the closing of Vice Point Skate Park. The city completely remodeled, attempting to make everything "skate proof". Viewed as criminals and punks, skaters and BMX riders seem to have no reason to be in the town by the mayor, who even has a special branch of police to arrest anyone who attempts to skate and ride their bikes on anything. The excuse the mayor gave for this aggressive action is "trespassing" and other unnecessary offenses. But this won't stop the skaters and riders who will fight to skate. They won't give up no matter. They'll go down fighting freedom to skate. And if they don't win, they'll go down swinging. These skaters will be pushed to their limits, facing jail time, fines, and even fights whether it be pedestrians, other skater and riders, or police. This won't be easy.

Story

In this roleplay, there will be a group of skaters and BMX riders getting together to try and get freedom for their passion. They will have to work together to get their message across to the public. Everyone will have to start small, getting enough attention to get a small fan base that'll support them. Gradually over time, they should earn more and more followers to help them earn their freedom.

To do this, they need to showcase their passion (whether it be doing tricks, making a documentary, or even art like painting). Posting their work will be a big part in this and will be the major way of gaining attention. Not all attention will be good, however, and will gain a bigger and bigger price on their head for the police to search for.

Character Sheet

The character sheet structure will go as follows:

  • Name: Include the full name of your character. A nickname will be given to them as the story progresses.
  • Age: Please have your character be between 16-25. No more, no less.
  • Gender: Male, female, or whatever you identify as.
  • Description: A picture of your character (please, no anime pics), a written description (be very detailed if only doing a description), or both.
  • Personality: What is your character like? How do they act? (Please be detailed on this. Nothing is more annoying than a bland, boring personality)
  • Biography: Can be left blank, but your bio should be at least 5-7 sentences.
  • Affiliation: Do you skate or ride a bike? You cannot choose both.
  • Strengths: The cool tricks, helpful skills, and other neat things your character can do. Anything goes, really.
  • Weaknesses: The bad things about your character. Anything that your character struggles with or can't do that hurts them, whether it do mental, emotional, or physical.
  • Other: Anything else about your character that's important.
  • Theme Song: Completely optional, but it does give me a sense of what to play when your character talks (yeah, I do play their song when reading)

Rules

1) This roleplay will be long. Please note that we won't get to the freedom too quick.
2) Don't make your character the next Tony Hawk or Matt Hoffman. We aren't pros.
3) Although it isn't required, please know the names and terminology of skating and BMX. Please refer to these skating tricks and terms as well as BMX tricks and terms.
4) Note that there will be drama in this. This means someone will get arrested (make a back up/bait character if you want), the team will argue, and maybe someone snitches to save themselves.
5) Have fun with it!

More rules will be added where I see fit.

Name
Tyler Rhodes

Age
19

Gender
Male

Description

Personality
Cocky. Daredevil. Determined. Friendly.

Tyler is a determined skateboarder, giving his all in his passion. He works to attempt to be sponsored and eventually take over a business and create one in the future. Being a skateboarder for around 13 years, Tyler has overcome almost every fear when it comes to his skating. He'll jump down staircases without thinking twice.

Aside from skating, Tyler is quite cocky. He'll make sure you know he can do a laser flip, even if he's only done it once after 300 tries. He enjoys letting others know that he's better than the posers. Although he is cocky, he knows he isn't the best. He still has to grow to be noticed. Tyler is also friendly with fellow skaters as well as BMX riders. He isn't hard to befriend. Just be nice and talk about skating and you'll be set.

Biography
TBD

Affiliation
Skateboarder

Strengths

Flip Tricks
Tyler's specialty are flip tricks. They're fun to him as well as challenging. Tyler won't stop with the flips, wanting to master every flip trick out there as well as create his own. If possible.

Daredevil
Tyler likes to jump off of things, go fast downhill, clear huge gaps, and even skate around cops to assert some dominance. He enjoys the rush he gets when doing something potentially dangerous.

Quick Learner
Tyler learns relatively quickly than most skaters. He picked up his first board on his birthday when he was 6 and was able to ollie with ease once he turned 8. He worked his way up and perfected kickflips at 12. After he turned 14, flip tricks became easier. He was able to laser flip (almost) perfectly at 16 and now he does more difficult tricks.

Weaknesses

Cocky
While it's true that Tyler is a very confident skater with the skill to back it up, he can go a little over the top sometimes. He's hurt himself underestimating heights and distances.

Pothead
Tyler loves to smoke weed. He lights up at least two to three times a day. This makes his lungs not so great when it comes to physically demanding tasks like running long distance. Skateboarding isn't difficult to manage for him, thankfully.

Rebellious
Tyler has a problem with the system. He hates cops. Really he just hates authority in general. He's gotten himself kicked out of his house because of his attitude.

Vert/Grab Tricks
Tyler struggles with grab tricks and skating vert. He dislikes the focus put on riding back and forth. He finds grabbing the board a bit boring as well as difficult. He does do a few grab tricks now and then, however.

Other
Tyler is determined to get freedom for skaters. He'll do ANYTHING to do so, even if he has to fight, leave close friends, or even be arrested for it.

Name
Jay or just "J"

Age
Twenty-one

Affiliation
33rd Street Razors

Years with Gang
Three

Appearance
Jay stands at 6'3", weighs 215 lbs, and is slightly muscular. He's black and Mexican He's known for his tight, white shirt that shows off his muscles and abs. His shirt has a large rip on the right sleeve, somewhat of an homage to the Razors. Jay has a pair of black jeans, a pair of generic black and white Converse with it. He wears a white G-Shock watch that he values, given to him by his slain older brother. He wears a silver necklace with a cross on it. As for his mask, Jay wears a fox mask.

Personality
-Jay is your trickster. He likes to manipulate people, especially when he knows it'll be easy. He makes himself seem nice at first until he gets what he wants. After he gets it, he'll make sure you regret it.

-Jay takes pride in his gang, not letting anyone talk shit. He stands up for his gang at all times, getting pissed off when it's shit-talked. A popular rumor is that he's cut the tongue off of someone who was talking shit about the Razors.

-Jay is a fighter by heart, not stopping for anybody if he's winning. You'd have to pull him off to stop him, even that won't stop him for good. He's also a natural shit-talker, instigating most of his fights. It's quite ironic that he can dish shit out, but won't take it from anyone.

-Jay can't stand seeing one of his Razor members going down. And if they die, that'll mess him up psychological. He's a hard-ass in public, but cries himself to sleep often. Years of seeing family die in gangs takes its toll on him.

-Jay hates when children or innocent women are hurt/killed. He deems it unnecessary, especially if it's from gang related activities. He has voiced his opinion on this plenty of times.

-Jay has no problem speaking his mind on things, whether it be suggestions, complaints, or even just talking to his comrades. He's real chatty with his friends.

Strengths
Charisma
With his natural trickery, he can talk people into almost anything. He's an excellent salesman, incorporating comedy and for the sake of the gang, slightly overpriced goods to those dumb enough not to check. He's been successful in bribing some corrupt cops as well, gaining a small bit of leniency with some cops.

Intelligence
Skilled with many forms of mathematics, especially algebra. Altogether, Jay is a pretty smart guy. He knows how to apply chemistry to gang related activities. He's basically a bank account as well, able to keep track of everyone's cash, know who owes the gang and how much, and even knows how to charge interest.

Getaway Driver
He knows the city like the back of his hand, able to navigate around and find quick shortcuts, make quick detours, and give directions with ease. Jay is a pretty reliable driver. A side "hobby" or his is street racing, making some extra cash on the side. He's been able to evade police chases almost with ease, able to shake anybody chasing him. He can drive at high speeds with great control, never really crashing even when under pressure.

Mastermind
With his high intelligence, charming charisma, and his amazing driving and navigation skills, Jay is a powerful piece to important jobs/crimes. He thoroughly thinks his plans out, writing complicated outlines of what he wants to happen. Usually when he's given the task of organizing a job, the Razors should get a good result in the end.

Weaknesses
Cocky
Jay is really overconfident. This has led to him being jumped from bad deals, being arrested, and even almost being killed. Even his "mastermind" plans have backfired from his personal hubris. He often gives police a chance to catch up, let a fighting opponent get up, or even let someone swing first without moving.

Rage Monster
Jay is a hothead, easily angered, and will lose his temper fast. He's ruined deals and meetups like this, and it's bound to happen again if nobody helps keep him under control. Jay is hard to calm down when he's enraged, and it's not pretty when he's raging.

Pothead
Jay frequently smoke marijuana, sometimes getting too high to realize what the hell he's doing. He's smoked before jobs, during jobs, during fights, and he even managed to smoke in the back of a squad car. Well that's just a rumor.

Injuries
-Jay has a weak right knee, a spot that'll take him out of a fight when hit. Jay got this injury in early childhood, tearing his ACL playing basketball. He never gave his knee the proper treatment, resulting in a weak ligament. He'll go down quite fast when attacked on this spot. He's given away huge hints when he's fought or ran, rubbing his knee when it hurts.

Team Player
-Jay doesn't fare well alone and relies on at least one to four people travelling with him. He gets really nervous and paranoid alone, not trusting his surroundings.

Sloppy
-Jay is sloppy with his fighting, crimes, and cleaning. He's left people beaten, or dead, out in the open before. He doesn't really understand police can track you down pretty easily. He believes he'll be fine if he just lays low after a risky job.

Likes
33rd Street Razors
This is his only family that'll accept him. After he was kicked out of his house, he joined in for good. Everyone in the Razors is considered a brother of sister to Jay. He'll ride for the Razors, he'll die for the Razors. That's how it is. He'll stop at nothing to protect his comrades.

1986 Mitsubishi Starion
This is Jay's baby, a car he bought after saving money for years. He doesn't let anyone drive it but himself. He bought it off his uncle, the last bit of family that didn't kick him to the curb. He isn't big on changing the look, but the engine has been worked on a lot. This car is fast despite it's simple look. This car has a lot of good memories in it, some bad memories too.

11" Italian Switchblade
The only weapon in Jay's arsenal beside his hands. He usually uses the knife for empty threats more than actual fighting, but he's used it before. He has a small habit of flicking the blade out, just to hear the sound.

Dislikes
The Bombers
Jay absolutely dispises the Bombers. He finds them stuck-up assholes who think they're better than anyone. He hates how they view the Razors and loves to fight against them. He's known to start problems with any members he finds.

Deals gone wrong
Nothing pissed Jay off more than a deal that ends in no profit. He will usually get pissy and either attempt to rob or attack someone who rejects his business, but not all the time. He also hates when it ends in disaster, especially when he meets with a narc or a cop.

Cops
Pigs. Fucking pigs. Jay has a hatred for cops, especially the ones who actually do their jobs. He's had multiple run-ins with law enforcement, often getting arrested or chased. He likes to cuss cops out or just assault a random officer occasionally.

Ryan looked back at Eryx. "Wait wait wait. You mean to tell me my parents were injected with this shit?" Ryan said, looking at Vlad with a new found hatred in his eyes. He slammed a fist on a table, upset that he didn't have to live like this. Upset that his parents could still be alive right now, free of worry. Even if Vlad's program wasn't a part of this, Ryan was blaming him regardless. Ryan started to heat up, leaving a burn mark on the chair he sat on. Heat waves came off of him, making the room a bit warmer.

@Rekaigan The funny part is that there used to be more Razors than Bombers...

Like an informant, or just a guy with a rat-mask? Either way, I'm always interested in more Bombers since it's mostly Razors so far.

In that case, should I make a Bomber's character. If I do, I'll probably have him die.
