A human with the ability to channel magic and magnify someone’s abilities – the idea was absurd. Humans had ceased to exist from Aurion because they couldn’t handle the magic. Old as Deneva may be, she was still young enough to have never seen an actual human. Yet, she was like many of Aurion who preferred to take on a more humanoid appearance. It was the most popular form seen in the world, and for someone like Deneva it provided convenience and allowed her to blend in with other races.
Even with the belief that the prophecy was absurd; the blonde had still obeyed commands. This prophecy was the reason why she was here in this strange situation. Golden eyes glanced around the room watching as the image shimmered every now and then. It was subtle enough that the human probably wouldn’t notice it. And if there was one thing she learned, it was that humans overlooked and rationalized anything that did not fit into their perfect little world.
Her eyes trained back onto the human asleep on the couch. There was no telling how long he would be out. But perhaps that was a good thing. As long as he was unconscious, she wouldn’t have to answer questions. That was good. Crossing the room, she sat down on a chair that creaked with the added weight.
