I say real robot, but like the mecha in Lost Planet, Full metal Panic, Titanfall, and Code Geuss.
I am down for the 3rd sub setting but I believe it would be fun to have all three, the students not having the same classes but they all share the same dorms and maybe at times do joint training exercises.
why not have interaction from students in all three programs? like Starship troopers.
Name: Sokal

Age: 24

Gender: Female

Race: Voleurite

What is a Voleurite you ask? Well the simple answer is they are human... well used to be, maybe. some say they are mutants, the next evolution of humans, or even possibly alien, but they are not a uncommon people in the wastes. At first glance they look primitive, their cloths made of patchwork furs and they all wear masks, but they are very fast learners, most of their tech coming from improvements on old relics of the world before the war, taking things apart and making them work more efficiently, it fits their nomadic lifestyle, traveling in large groups they follow their food sources across the desert and only settle in one place for a short time.
All Voleurites have black skin and grey hair, atop their heads are horns that grow in a variety of shapes but males usually have larger horns than females, the strangest part of their people is that every one of them wears a mask. A Voleurite earns their mask when they make their first kill when hunting, crafting it from the skull of their prey they are never seen without the mask on their faces. Come to think of it, what do they look like behind those things?

Appearance:

It should be noted that this race is completely carnivorous, they got some teeth!

Equipment: Sokal is a seasoned huntress of her race, she can track anything walking on 2 or 4 legs. On her person she carries all the gear necessary to take down large prey.
- Bow and Arrows: There is nothing fancy about them, it is a silent weapon and perfect for hunting animals, steel tipped arrows and only a quiver of 15 Sokal does her best not to miss a target, especially when it could mean no food of she does.

- Revolver: An old single action revolver, it was used by law enforcement before everything went to shit, it used to be called the Peacemaker but now it is just good for gunning down those who get in Sokal's way.

- Taser Stars: The little puppies are her bread and butter, throw-able remote electric traps, they grab onto anything they are thrown at and are remotely activated to detonate in a large electrical explosion that with fry (or stun*) anything caught in the blast. (*depending on the setting)

- And a knife: It is primitive, just some sharpened steel with a wire wrap handle, it is not meant to be cutting anything that is alive.

Also various items in her bag, water skin, compass, old maps, and whatever passes for a currency in this god forsaken desert.

Personality: Sokal has a hard time seeing people as more than just potential prey. They say an assassin or bounty hunter always has a plan to kill everyone they meet, as a hunter Sokal has a plan not just to kill but track, trap, what their skin would be good for and what spices to use while cooking them up (though Voleurite prefer their meet raw). When conversing she can come off brash, coming from an over confidence in herself, but while tracking her prey she concentrated and professional, prefering to hunt alone as others get in the way.

History: Even before the world went to hell the Voleurites have been nomads, living in temporary settlements and traveling from city to city most labelled them as gypsies, and in truth they did play the part, selling baubles, furs from animals, and exotic entertainment their air of mystery attracted many.
During the war however they lost most of their freedom, having to travel to avoid battle most left the middle east in search of new hunting grounds, leaving just a few clans who decided to wait it out. Sokal's clan is one of those that stayed behind, adapting to the war they never took a side but they killed those that threatened their families, using their skills as hunters to turn into warriors they had never been a warlike people before but it was for their survival and the defense of their homeland.

One year ago when the war reached it's peak Sokal had been tracking a squad of soldier who had been scouting her Clan's defenses, she was away when whatever changed her people hit them. She came home to see they changed, acting as feral animals tearing each other apart and cannibalizing she fled, leaving what was left of her home to rot, disgusted that the others could be so weak to succumb to such an affliction.
She moved on to travel on her own, she found some towns and cities that had survived the calamity, never staying in one place for long, she had no real purpose, just senselessly wandering with survival being the only thing on her mind.
Hey sorry I was gone for 24+ hours, I have been as a party with my friends, I wrote a post from my phone so sorry if it is a little short or full of spelling mistakes, I hope to make a better one when I get home.
Lena was surprised that the green haired boy could pick her up so easily, and as he got used to the weight of her weapon form she could feel their souls moving more in tune, almost perfectly matching their wave lengths. She was so excited when he let her rest on his shoulder she almost accidently let off a shot from her barrel, a close save cause the recoil probably would have hit him in the head.
"Oh your the first Meister who has been able to pick me up! Oh my god this is... I don't know, you need to be my Meister! Please Simon?"
She was almost ready to beg, her excitment barely contained. She was already imagining how powerful of a team they would be under Lord Death's guidence.
Marlena was a little excited to be meeting a prospective Meister, she felt the connection so there was a strong chance he would be the one, in fact she did not even notice Gertrud walking away and leaving her and Simon standing together at the edge of the crowd.
"Oh yes of course! I have not found a Meister yet so we can see if it would work out."
Lena smiled and changed into her weapons form, a 5 foot cannon crashing down onto the ground making the immediate area shake a little as she landed, there was no doubt she was a powerful weapon but the real test came from whether of not Simon could pick her up, a couple of the Meisters before him have tried but failed because to anyone without a matching resonance with her soul would find her immensely heavy.
"Hmmm, who?"
Lena asked as she turned around and saw the newcomer approaching them, he looked as though he was trying not to make his precense obvious but you could tell he wanted to be near them and was possibly working up the courage to say hello. Lena paused as she looked over the green haired Meister and felt that flutter in her soul, it was possible he would be one able to use her weapon form.
"Oh hello!"
She said cheerfully, wanting to break the ice and get him introduced before he had a chance to feel awkward, especially if he was still looking for a weapon to partner up with.
"It is nice to meet you Gertrud."
Lena smiled as she took her hand and shook it,
"I actually have not yet found a meister, I have been approached several times but I need to meet someone that will be able to handle a weapon like me."
She explained, taking a spot to stand beside the Meister as her weapon Simone wandered off. Looking at the crowd she could see that most of the weapons were already pairing up with Meisters, leaving Lena to worry that she may never find a Meister to partner up with.
"um May I ask how you met Simone? are you two senior students?"
Lena turned to Gertrud again, she was genuinely interested because she felt this was an opportunity to make some new friends.
I need to fix the list and maybe spruce it up to be more visually appealing... but it is so late, I have the day off work tomorrow, I'll do it in the morning. Procrastination at it's finest.
